"When was the last time you went out, Harry?" Seamus peered at him over his sausages at the breakfast table.

Harry looked up at him mildly. "What do you mean, 'out'?"

"I mean like on a date."

Harry nearly choked but covered it up by coughing.

Seamus was not to be so easily fooled. "Do you have your eye on anyone?" he asked slyly.

Harry shook his head quickly, a little too quickly. Seamus grinned evilly, but let it go.

"Ron, what would you say to setting Harry up?"

Ron raised his eyebrows questioningly. "With who?"

Seamus shrugged unconvincingly.

"You mean, like Parvati or someone?"

"Or someone..."

"Because Harry went with Parvati to the Yule Ball, and I don't think she likes him very much."

"No, I was thinking someone else."

"Really? Who?"

"A certain Slytherin."

Ron spluttered. "You think Harry likes a Slytherin!?"

"I think he doesn't know it yet."

"Well, who? Pansy?" Ron asked skeptically. Seamus shrugged, obviously Ron was not a sharp as he was. Ron furrowed his eyebrows and looked uneasy.

"Who would you suggest?" Seamus asked Ron.

Ron shrugged. "I dunno, maybe Hannah Abbott. She always seemed pretty nice."

Seamus nodded slowly. "Okay, you wanna try to set Harry up with her, and I'll try with my person."

Ron still didn't look very convinced. "I guess, so but what are you going to do?"

"You'll see..." Seamus said slyly.

Harry looked nervously at Seamus that afternoon in Care of Magical Creatures. Ever since he'd asked about his dating life, Harry had gotten the feeling he was planning something. Seamus showed no sign of acting any differently. He seemed perfectly normal.

Today they were learning about Manticores. To Harry's relief, Hagrid had not managed to procure one for the class. Manticores were classified as Highly Dangerous Creatures by the Ministry. Draco Malfoy and his friends stood in the back whispering and laughing behind their hands. Harry glared angrily at them. The least they could do was pay attention in class. Seamus noticed Harry's staring and a grin spread across his face.

"Hey, Harry," Ron said to him. Harry pulled his gaze away from Malfoy, who was still laughing, to look at Ron, who was watching him expectantly.

"What?" he asked.

"What do you think of Hannah Abbott?" Ron asked.

Harry was surprised. "Um... She's okay, I guess. Why?"

"Oh, uh, just wondering," said Ron evasively and moved over to where Hermione was taking notes. Harry watched him for a minute before his attention was pulled back to Malfoy.

"When this year is over, I'm going to travel. Ever since Father died, I've found the mansion to be dreadfully boring," Draco drawled to Blaise and Pansy. Blaise looked bored and Pansy was draped over Draco.

"Ooh, Draco, you're so rich now, will you buy me a unicorn?" Pansy simpered.

Draco sneered. "Of course not, woman, get your money grubbing paws off of me." He threw her arms off his shoulders and moved closer to Blaise. Pansy scowled for a minute, but it passed. Draco caught sight of Harry staring and sneered at him. "What, Potter? Having trouble imagining what it's like to have money? If you want to know, don't ask the Weasel, he wouldn't know a galleon if it bit him in the ass."

Ron overheard the last comment and launched himself at Malfoy. Harry caught him by the back of his robes and forcefully restrained him. Ron made snarling noises and fought to get to Malfoy, but Seamus joined Harry and pulled him back. Malfoy walked away laughing to himself.

Harry stared at his retreating backside and found himself staring at his ass. He shook himself and turned his attention to Ron.

"Ron, he's not worth it, he's just an evil prat."

Ron nodded and wandered away, muttering darkly. Seamus raised his eyebrows at Harry, who gave him a confused glance. Seamus winked and walked away after Ron. Harry turned back to the direction Malfoy had disappeared in.

In Herbology, Ron was intent on pairing Harry with Hannah. He insisted they work together, which they did, reluctantly so. Ron grinned as Harry and Hannah worked on their Flutterby Bush. After the lesson, he berated Harry with questions about Hannah.

"Listen, Ron," Harry said exasperatedly after the millionth question about Hannah, "if you want to date her, go ahead. She'd probably say yes." Ron looked taken aback and stopped short, only to be slammed into by Malfoy.

"Watch where you stop, Weasel," he sneered as he sidestepped him. Ron glared after him and Harry pulled him onward to dinner.

Everything at dinner was a normal occurrence, until they reached desert. Seamus "dropped" his fork and ducked down the pick it up. What was not seen, nor heard, was the muttered spell under the table. When Seamus surfaced, Harry was halfway across Great Hall, almost to the Slytherin table. Harry had a horrified look on his face and, try as he might, he couldn't stop his legs.

As he neared the table, Blaise poked Draco and pointed to Harry, who was coming ever closer. Draco snickered and whispered something to Blaise.

"Potter, coming to join the Slytherins? I wondered when you would come to your senses. I knew sooner or later you would realize that mistake you made way back in first year." Harry glared at him as his legs forced him to sit down at the table.

"I don't know what you're doing, Malfoy, but you won't get away with it," he snarled. Malfoy chuckled softly and turned away from Harry. Ron came hurrying over and whispered to Harry urgently.

"What are you doing?!"

"I don't know! I can't control my legs!" Harry hissed. Ron tried to pull him up, but it was no use. Harry couldn't move. Over at the Gryffindor table, Seamus was trying desperately to stifle his laughs.

Later that night, Ron approached Seamus. Seamus looked at him and smiled serenely.

"How goes Harry and Hannah?" he asked placidly. Ron huffed and sat down in an armchair.

"He thinks I want to date her."

Seamus nodded in understanding.

Ron scowled. "What about you and your person?" he asked, annoyed.

"Oh, it's coming along well."

"What does that mean?" Ron asked shrewdly. "Who is it?" he pressed.

Seamus sighed. "I'm not going to tell you, because you wouldn't believe me if I did."

"Is it Pansy? Millicent? Daphne? Lavender? Padma? Luna?" He fished around naming everyone he could think of. "Wait...it's not Hermione is it?!"

Seamus rolled his eyes. "What makes you so sure it's a girl?"
