I look on, depressed by the chitter gaggle that surrounds you. I hate it, the constant attention you get. I want to give you that attention, not watch you get it. Disgruntled I leave. The commonroom is deserted, as it should be. I collapse in an armchair. Then the portrait swings open, and your shaddow fills the gap. Here, with all the fans, will I never get away? But no, your alone. I twitch involuntarily, my eyes watching you in the firelight as the gloom of dusk gathered outside. You came over, flopping down like the form you take near to me, and I catch my breath. A smile crosses your lips, and I fall into your eyes, hardly breathing. How much longer can I hide this? But I dont need to. You move over, whispering about girls being nothing, and rest your head on my leg. I drop a hand to your shoulder, to comfort, and get a suprise when your had touched mine. My breathing stops again, and I bend low at the waist, to allow my free hand to hug you. You hug back. My world is slowly twisting through 180 degrees. Scarey that. But you twist your head back and round, kissing me, lightly, on the lips, before pulling back, moving away. I stop you, and burry my face in your hair. I would never let you go.
