Shut Up!

Prologue


The summer before year seven at Hogwarts would begin soon and all hell was loose on the wizarding world .Open war with all its consequences .People were getting hurt …people were dieing and some were never to be heard of ….dead or maybe still kept prisoners in the Death Eaters camp. In such troubled times, who cam you trust? What can you cling on for hope? It was painful not knowing if people you loved were being put under the Imperius curse, or acted on their own accord.

That is what war does best, it tears people apart, it makes them doubt, and it makes them fear things they normally wouldn’t have to worry about. The truth was it was not a very good summer for anyone. What was better? Fighting and risking your life, and the lives of you family or sitting at home, waiting for the Death Eaters to find you. And so for two months there was open war, attacks being a daily issue and the victims too many to count. It was a time for decisions, it was a time when many rose to the occasion, and proved their worth, and others sunk and were forgotten. By middle of August the battle had reached its peak .It would soon end now, it would be down to the inevitable conclusion. One boy, one 17 year old boy, had faced the Dark Lord. To many it seemed foolish to even hope this battle could be won by a child so young, but Harry Potter had always promised extraordinary things, and he did not fail to meet expectations. Yes the war came to its conclusion on the 20th of August. And there was much rejoicing in the streets …………..

Of course wars tend to bring about the giving away of titles….The heroes of the war , those extraordinary people who fought and survived ,were awarded with Merlin’s Order , First Class , and were respected by the crowds , but most of them were mere students. The Golden Generation is what they were named .Those who happened to the in the same year as the one who killed Lord Voldemort. All of Hogwarts’s seventh years returned to the school that summer….returned for one final year in which they would not be burdened by any upcoming war. It would be a year of changes, particularly inter-house relationships were blossoming. And finally , an invisible line was crossed , when two of the war’s biggest heroes traveled to Hogwarts in the same train compartment .Gryffindor red met Slytherin silver when Harry Potter and Draco Malfoy finally put the past behind them ….Well, maybe not the entire past….

“Stop being a prick Potter, and get out that invisibility cloak of yours.”
“No way Malfoy , I’m not about to spy on people when they’re having important conversations. “
“You didn’t mind doing it at the beginning of last year .When you had the nerve to spy on me and the other Slytherins .”
“I had my reasons, as I said before. You were an arrogant ass, who I was convinced was a Death Eater.”
“Well…at lest you came out of it worse than I did. I really thought you wouldn’t get to school that time “
“Let’s just leave that particular incident out of this, or I may reconsider this little truce of ours “
Just then the compartment doors flew open, and in came Ron and Hermione, the latter looking quite flustered .Ron sat next to Harry, leaving Hermione to be seated next to Draco.

“What’ve you two decided? “asked Harry anticipating Draco’s question .

A/N Well, I’ve done it ….finally a fic that is completely written, and just waiting to be let loose on the world. Except for some minor things (and just maybe I’ll feel the need to rewrite some stuff) I’ll keep adding one chapter every day. I’m just waiting for some kind of response. But since this prologue can’t exactly be named a chapter( and I can bet nobody’ll review this) I’ll have chapter up today as well . That’s just the nice girl I am. ^-^ Oh, and the only spoiler in this story is a minor reminder of who snuffed it in book 6, but that doesn’t count right? Well, happy reading and reviewing .
