Oh, where, oh where, can my baby be?
The Lord took him away from me
He\'s gone to heaven so I got to be good
So I can see my baby when I leave this world
~*~
I\'ve lost my baby, the Lord took him away from me. He was my one true love and I\'ll never find someone like him ever again. Now he\'s gone to heaven and I have to be good so that I can see him again when I leave this world.
It was one day when we went out for a drive. I had borrowed my dad\'s convertible for the day. It wasn\'t dark and gloomy as you might think, there was no foreshadowing of the events that were to come. No, it was an unusually beautiful day, and we had the top down to enjoy it, the sun was shining and the birds singing and all that nonsense. Or so I thought at the time.
We hadn\'t been driving for very long when we came to a rather sharp turn. I was driving pretty fast, showing off for my beautiful. He giggled and told me to stop being such a show off. Just as we made the turn I saw something that still makes my blood run cold.
In the middle of the road, strait ahead, there was a stalled car. I was driving so fast that there was no way I could ever stop in time, so I swerved to the right. I will never forget the awful sounds that day; the screaming tires, the busting glass and the painful scream that I heard last.
When I woke up, the weather that should have been there earlier, to foreshadow these events, had shown up. The rain was streaming down my face, a parody of the tears that were to come.
I was lying on a grassy embankment next to the road, having obviously been tossed from the car at impact. Shakily, I stood up to find my baby. He wasn\'t in the car and there were people standing all around, making it so much harder for me to find him. I pushed through the people, finally spotting him on the ground. I sank to my knees next to him and lifted his head. He looked at me and said, \"Hold me darling, just a little while.\" So I held him close and kissed him our last kiss.
But now he\'s gone even though I hold him tight in my heart and I have to make sure that I stay on this side of good. No running off to join the Death Eaters. No, if I\'m ever to see him again I have to be good so that I can join him in heaven, for that is for sure where he\'ll be.
I lost my love, my life, that night. My baby. My green eyed, jet-black mop-haired angel. My Harry.
