Angel ran her fingers through her hair and sighed softly, she couldn’t sleep, which was nothing new. She put her robe on and snuck out through the secret passage in her dorm. She wondered through the halls, everything seemed so much bigger at night and the eerie cast of the moon didn’t help much either but it didn’t bother Angel too much.
She walked through the library, the books seemed oddly distorted in the shadows like they were twisting and inhaling as the castle breathed in. She ran her fingers over the bindings, they felt the same so maybe her eyes were playing tricks on her, and then again maybe they weren’t.
She wondered out of the room of books and out into the hall ways. She walked up the stairs and headed into the 7th corridor…She didn’t even know they HAD a 7th one. It looked a bit different, it kind of looked more like the hall ways of the Common Rooms.
She frowned to herself and looked around, she didn’t seen any doors though, it was just a long hall or so she thought. She heard the sound of soft steps behind her, she glanced back and saw Mrs. Norris. Angel sighed softly and picked her up and petted her, “If you’re near then so is Filtch.”
“Aren’t you the smart one Miss. Dust.” A harsh voice spoke from behind her, “Out for another midnight walk again I see.” She turned around, holding Mrs. Norris, “You know me too well Mr. Filtch.”
