The Blowers Daughter
DISCLAIMER: NONE OF THIS BELONGS TO ME. I JUST CREATED THE PLOT!
Hermione Granger, following the successful war with Voldemort, was now widely regarded as the Princess of the Order of the Phoenix by much of the wizard press. Not only was she youngest and prettiest of the golden trio, making her front page material, but her actual involvement on the night was widely regarded as a move that had saved Harry Potter. As Lucius Malfoy and Bellatrix Black had taken aim at Harry and Dumbledore, she also had taken aim and was able to render them both unconscious.
And so, in the weeks following the war, she was one of the most widely photographed women in the wizarding world. Even Rita Skeeter had to regard her with some respect in her articles, and following a forced trip to a stylist (Ron and Harry practically dragged her), Hermione developed into one of the most widely desired witches also. Although not widely regarded as traditionally pretty, her striking features and now thick, curly hair, combined with her sharp wit, made her incredibly alluring to most wizards.
Following the war, she had moved into Grimmald place, along with many of the other Order members. The significance of Grimmald place as the Order\'s headquaters was unknown to most of the wizarding world, and so the prospect of the \"Princess of the War\" moving in with \"The boy who still lived\" invited plenty of attention, especially in the more lowbrow newspapers. However, Harry\'s engagement to Ginny Weasley soon meant that Hermione was able to drift back into the shadows, a place that she found far more pleasant. The threat of photographers being constantly at her door reduced, and she was able to start dating again. Though she could have no doubt chosen any man, her heart had settled on Remus Lupin, another hero of the final battle whom had drifted into the shadows. Though dating an ex-professor did attract a small amount of attention, it was deflected by Harry and Ginny\'s wedding; the affair of the century.
Severus Snape had disappeared from the public eye almost as soon as he had entered it on the day following the battle. The final attack on Hogwarts that coincedently had been the final day of the Golden Trio\'s seventh year, had forced him into the public eye because of his heroic and suprising dedication to saving Harry Potter. When Voldemort had thrown a particually unpleasent anti-coagulating curse at Potter, Snape had shielded Harry from the curse, and wounded himself terribly. It was Hermione whom had saved him by dragging him away and healing him before returning to the battle. Following Voldemort\'s death, he had fled to Vienna, fully aware that a few renegade death eaters would be searching for him, as would a large number of journalists.
However, two years later, the final deatheaters, Macnair, Goyle snr and the Lestranges were caught, and Snape had very little to keep him in Vienna, and this is where our story begins....
