Lupin was restless. Sirius had been gone for three weeks, yet Lupin still refused to believe he’d passed on. His last friend, the only person he’d ever really trusted, and now Lupin felt rejected, alone, and depressed. Tonks heard him upstairs pacing, and she went to console him. He was very agitated, and Tonks made some mint tea to clear his head. She found him by the bookcase, absently flicking through the titles. “I thought this may cheer you up.” She said, handing him the drink. Tonks was very concerned for Lupin. He’d always been depressed since she’d met him over a year ago, but now he was acting positively suicidal. He looked at her, his long hair falling over his eyes.
She brushed it away and Lupin turned his head into her hand. She caressed his face and he sighed. “Care to talk?” She asked. He walked to the couch and she sat beside him. He took a sip and said sadly, “I miss him so much. He was my best friend, He and James and even Peter, they were the only friends I’ve ever had.” Tonks scooted beside him. “I’m your friend, and Author and Molly, and Mad-Eye, and everyone else.” He examined a chip on his cup. “I can’t talk to them the way I could with Sirius. He was always a shoulder to lean on.”
Tonks nudged her shoulder into Lupin, and he laid his head on her. The house was quiet with the Weasly kids at school, and Tonks realized they were all alone. She ran her fingers through his hair and he sat up, placing his cup on the table. “I’m sorry if I’m being too forward.” She apologized. She had often flirted with him, but never really shown him how attracted she was. He looked at her, his sad brown eyes reflecting her own real ones. He leaned forward and kissed her lips deeply. Lupin scooted closer and placed his arms around her, and Tonks sank into his chest. He pulled back and looked at her. “I don’t know what to say.” He whispered. Tonks replied, “Say nothing at all.” and she kissed him again.
He nuzzled her neck as she leaned back, and Lupin climbed on top of her. She remembered he’d told her he had not dated a woman in over six years, and she enjoyed bringing him some relief from his troubled thoughts. Suddenly she felt herself being lifted in his arms and she smiled. Tonks held on to Lupins neck as he carried her up the stairs to his bedroom. He placed her on the floor and caressed her waist. “Nymphodora, do you want this?” He asked. “I’ve wanted this for a long time.” She stroked his chest and he growled softly. “Don’t ever tempt a werewolf, they can be surprising.”
He pushed her on the bed and she laughed. Lupin began kissing her neck and she reached down to his thighs.
