A Woman Scorned
Disclaimer: I don\'t own them, I\'m just playing in JK\'s sandbox.
A/N: This is not Beta read, so yes all mistakes are mine, also Concrit and reviews are that which keep me inspired (that\'s a hint folks!)

\"This is all your fault, you sick bastard.\" Hermione yelled at the dark figure in the corner of the dining room at Number 12 Grimwauld Place.
\"Miss Granger, I will remind you that I am still your professor and as such you will give me the respect I deserve\"
\"Respect?\" she shouted. \"You think that you deserve my respect after you let them torture and kill my family?\"
And what praytell whould you have me do? Blow my cover as a spy? Tell the Dark Lord he\'s not allowed to kill your family because you would be upset with me? You silly girl, you have no clue as to what you\'re dealing with\" Severus said in his most threatening tone.
\"You could have done something, if you told the Order they could have protected them. you could have...\"
\"Miss Granger, Hermione. I am sure that Severus has his reasons for not informing the Order sooner. Don\'t you Severus?\" Albus Dumbledore asked, his blue eyes lacking the usual twinkle.
\"Of course headmaster, I am no longer kept informed of all of the Dark Lord\'s plans. By the time I found out about it it was too late. The deed was already done\" Severus replied simply.
Before either Albus or Hermione could ask why he was no longer privy to Voldemort\'s plans he said \"I recently angered the Dark Lord by not being able to provide Potters location during his summer break. Apparently The Dark Lord thought that if he struck suddenly The Order would not be able to defend him.\"
\"Oh gee, how very noble of you. Now if you wil excuse me, I\'d like to be alone now!\" Hermione shouted as she ran out of the room, slamming the door behind her.
Well, that didn\'t go to well.\" Albus said wearily, taking his glasses off and pinching the bridge of his nose.
\"Headmaster, we just told the girl that her entire family was murdered by Death Eaters. How well could it have gone?\"
\"Too True my boy, too true.\" Albus sighed. \"This war has taken it\'s toll on all of us. Some more than others, and as in any war the innocent suffer the worst.\"
As usual you are correct Headmaster.\" Severus said sadly.
\"Hmm... You should go and get some sleep my boy. You have had a long evening and look exhausted.\"
\"Very well. Good night Headmaster.\" Severus said as he walked towards the dining room door, his shoulders hunched in defeat.
\"Good night my boy. Sleep well\" Albus said once the door had closed behind Severus.
