Harry Potter and the Vampire's Elf

Harry Potter
And the Vampire\'s Elf

Disclaimer: If I owned the cast, setting, or original plot of the books, do you really think I would be writing this? (To all stupid people: Don\'t answer this question.)

A/N: This is the second time I\'ve put this up. I\'ve made some changes (Title, characters . . . That sort of thing.) and have decided to post this copy. I\'m actually going to work on this, just for you guys, so the more you review, the more and (possibly) better I\'ll write.

Important Side Note: I know the sixth book is coming out. I am, however, choosing to ignore this fact and write their sixth year. And if you don\'t like YAOI, SLASH, SHONEN AI, or BOY ON BOY ACTION, I suggest you leave and never come back. Now, ON WITH THE STORY!!!!!

Chapter One: Meeting

It was Dumbledore\'s request he get the boy. He didn\'t mind getting him and bringing him to Black Manor, the problem was actually getting him. And he felt like a messenger boy. Not suiting for one of his . . . talents.

\'Well, here goes nothing.\' He thought, and stepped through the barrier and began his way towards Malfoy Manor . . .

Draco looked around his room. The door was made of Redwood and it had a pure silver doorknob on it. An intricate pattern with dragons and snakes was carved beautifully on the back of the door.

On the other side of that very same wall was his walk-in closet. Only his best clothes were in there, his school clothes being packed away as they usually were. Against the wall opposite of the closet was his desk. It was just an ordinary wooden desk that had been painted with black and, painted by his own hand; it too had silver dragons all over it. They glittered and shined with every bewitched movement they made. Upon the desk were all his schoolbooks, countless rolls of parchment, several quills and inkbottles, and a picture frame that wanted to be filled. A few feet from his desk was where his bed was placed. It was a queen sized canopy bed that matched the theme of the room, black and silver. The hangings were black, the comforter and sheets were silver, and the pillows were black. At the foot of his bed his trunk lie open, the clothes slightly hanging out of it.

He sighed. It was his prison for the summer. Grounded for complete disrespect for the family name, at least that\'s what his father had said. Draco had refused the Dark Mark and called Voldemort an incompetent leader straight to his face and in front of most of the Death Eaters that existed. He wasn\'t surprised when he began thinking of how much he missed school.

At the moment he was currently thinking of school while lying on his bed and staring at the ceiling. He was thinking of something in particular too. A pair if blazing green eyes, a pair that he just couldn\'t give an owner to. He knew he should have known but the face kept escaping him. He thought of every person he knew but couldn\'t seem to place the eyes. He also thought of the possibility of them belonging to someone who he hadn\'t paid much attention to but dismissed the idea at once. After all, how could he picture someone\'s eyes if he didn\'t really know what that person looked like? Now he was content with just thinking about the eyes.

Unfortunately, Draco’s thoughts were cut off by a light tapping on his window. He went to the window, thinking it was his own eagle owl. To his surprise, it was a young man no older than he was. He was covered in water due to the rain that had started earlier that day. He wore a zip-up hoodie with a t-shirt underneath. For pants he wore baggy ones with chains connecting the front belt loops with handcuff like clips. Draco couldn\'t see the color of his shoes hut he was pretty sure they were the same color as everything else he wore. Black. His face was scrunched up because of the rain that kept falling in his eyes. He had marvelously golden eyes that matched perfectly with the earrings he had in each . . . Wait a second. Gold eyes? There were only two creatures with gold eyes that could look human and still not be so.

Draco narrowed his eyes. Taking a deep breath, he opened the window.

\"Potter!\" Harry heard his uncle yell from downstairs. Their guests were now gone, having just pulled out of the driveway of number four Privet Drive. Harry knew this was inevitable, but it wasn\'t his fault at all. \"I\'m coming!\" Harry yelled downstairs. He took a deep breath, shot a nasty glare at Hedwig, opened his door, and walked downstairs.

\"I told you to keep that ruddy bird quiet!\" Vernon yelled at him as soon as Harry entered the kitchen. Harry closed his eyes to calm himself before he replied. \"That ruddy bird is my owl and it is your fault she was making all that noise. If you just let me let her out then you wouldn\'t have to hear her.\" \"No. You\'ll just use that bloody bird to send messages to your little friends at school. If I -\"

At that moment the doorbell rang.

\"We\'re not finished with this conversation, Potter,” Vernon declared, waving a finger in Harry\'s face. He then went to the door with a vein in his temple still throbbing.

-

-

Lupin, Moody, and Tonks stood outside the door of Number Four Privet Drive, waiting for the door to be answered. They didn\'t have to wait long.

-

-

Vernon opened the door to see strangely dressed people. One had pink hair, one looked deathly ill, and the last one had an electric blue eye. It wasn\'t what he expected.

\"What the bloody hell do you want?\" Vernon asked, being none too polite. The one with the electric blue eye was the one who answered his question.

\"We\'re here for the boy, Dursley,\" Moody growled.

Mr. Dursley went from red to white in an instant. But his demeanor returned with lightning swiftness. \"You can\'t have my son!\" He shouted, spraying Moody with flecks of spit.

Moody wiped Mr. Dursley\'s spit off of his face and then rolled his eyes. \"Not that boy you idiot. We\'re here for Harry.\"

\"Oh,\" Dursley said sounding very stupid. He recovered quickly. \"Well what are you weirdoes waiting for? Come and take him off. The sooner the better.\"

Moody rolled his eyes again and pushed past Uncle Vernon. Lupin and Tonks followed his lead.

Harry listened as Uncle Vernon conversed with whomever was out there. Soon he heard footsteps of multiple people and watched as the door opened. A smile spread across his face when he saw who it was.

\"Remus, Moody, Tonks,\" Harry said happily. \"What are you guys doing here?\"

\"We\'re here to take you away from this dump,\" Moody answered.

\"Where are we going?\"

\"We\'re going to Black Manor,\" replied Lupin, a little too quickly. \"Now come on Harry, you want to leave I\'m sure.\" Lupin was putting on a smile that didn\'t fool Harry. He was just as sad as Harry was about what had happened not too long ago.

Harry simply nodded and headed upstairs with Tonks following him close behind.

\"So which is it?\" Draco asked. \"Vampire or elf?\"

He just sat on the roof outside the window. This kid was perceptive, for that he gave him credit. Especially since his eyes were supposed to be shielded and, because of the shield, a completely different color altogether. Oh well. It didn\'t matter if he knew or not, Dumbledore gave him specific instructions not to tell anyone. So instead he asked his own question.

\"Are you Draco Malfoy?\"

The young man looked at him as if that were a stupid question. \"Yes. Now answer my question.\"

He looked at Draco. Then, deciding it wasn\'t an imposter, answered. \"My name is Ranma. Dumbledore sent me. He gave me specific instructions not to tell you what I am . . . You did send a letter to him, right?\"

Draco had indeed sent Dumbledore a letter. It explained what he had done, why he had done it, and -now- that he wanted to leave his home. He had asked Dumbledore to help him with this. He didn\'t know why, but Dumbledore seemed to be the one to go to. So he sent a letter.

\"Yes,\" Draco began, \"But before I even let you in, I want proof you were sent by Dumbledore.\"

Ranma reached into his pocket and took out a piece of paper, perfectly preserved without a single drop of water on it. He handed it to Draco.

Draco snatched the piece of paper out of Ranma\'s hands and scanned it quickly. He recognized the letter as the very same one he had written to Dumbledore a week ago. His owl had yet to return from that trip too.

Draco rolled his eyes. \'Damn he\'s good,\' Draco thought. \'Let\'s hope he\'s really telling the truth.\'

Harry had arrived at Black Manor\'s kitchen a few minutes ago. He and Lupin had used Floo Powder to get there. Moody and Tonks were there before Harry got there, so it was only natural that he assumed they got there by Apparating.

\"Now we just have to wait for the other ones to get here,\" Moody growled to himself.

Harry perked up at hearing this. \"Do you mean the Weasleys?\" Moody only nodded. A frown was on his face. Harry didn\'t question why or even notice.

\"Hermione too?\" Again, Moody nodded. He seemed to be contemplating something. But the look passed from his face and he looked like his normal self.

\"Harry,\" Tonks began, \"Moody and I will be leaving now but Remus will be with you.\"
Moody Apparated from the Manor at that statement. Tonks was about to leave when she remembered something.

\"Expect a bit of a surprise later, Harry,\" Tonks said mysteriously. Then she left with a loud \'pop.\'

Draco stepped aside to let Ranma in. Ranma gave a mischievous smirk and climbed in. He immediately went over to Draco\'s trunk and put the clothes back in. Then he turned to Draco.

\"You want to put anything else in here?\" asked Ranma. Draco nodded and went over to his closet. He then proceeded towards the back of the walk-in closet. There, at the very end of it, was a set of shelves. Most were empty except for half of one that had several pairs of shoes and a book placed upon it. Draco went to the book, opened it and began touching the pages. As he did, clothes disappeared from their hangers. It took Ranma a moment to realize what the young Malfoy was doing. He was magically storing his clothes in the book.

\'What a queer,\' Ranma thought. \'Although . . . that is a nifty book, especially for someone who travels a lot . . . Just like I do.\'

\"Impressive little book you\'ve got there,\" said Ranma. \"Where\'d ya get it?\"

\"I made it,\" replied Draco.

\"Would ya make me one if I paid ya?\"

Draco turned around, having finished putting his things in his book. \"That depends,\" Draco began, \"How much are you willing to pay?\"

Ranma smiled. He looked into Draco\'s eyes and knew immediately what the blonde wanted. He wanted to know to whom those green eyes belonged.

\"I\'ll bring you to the person with those marvelous green eyes,\" said Ranma. Draco was taken back by this. How did this guy know that he had been thinking of green eyes before he even came into Draco\'s room?

\'Yellow eyes,\' Draco thought. That was the only possibility.

\"You\'re an elf aren\'t you,\" Draco said slyly. Ranma looked blankly at him for a few moments then took off his hood, revealing black hair that disappeared into the back of his jacket. It hung over his ears and down to his chin. When he pulled back his hair he revealed a pair of regular, not pointy ears. He smirked.

\"So Dumbledore has vampires working for him?\"

Ranma smirked. \"No one can prove a man is vampire until he walks in the sun.\" He had a point.

\"Which I do on a daily basis,\" Ranma added as an afterthought.

Draco sighed. He might as well make the book for him. So long as he paid with gold as well.

\"Alright,\" Draco began, \"I\'ll make you one if you show me the person with the eyes and pay me twenty galleons.\"

Ranma nodded. \"Deal.\" They shook on it and Draco finished packing.

Hermione and the Weasleys arrived shortly after Harry had. He, Ron, and Hermione had long since disappeared upstairs with Ginny and the twins. Molly Weasley had begun dinner with the help of Arthur and Remus. Tonks and Moody had just arrived back and were relaxing . . . and complaining.

\"It was absolutely horrible,\" Tonks whined. \"We got there, got through all those traps and obstacles and he wasn\'t even there. Instead we find a note that says he\'s already been taken by someone \'better\' and is currently walking around London!\"

\"Dumbledore won\'t like this,\" growled Moody. \"We were supposed to get the boy and now he\'s been kidnapped by some idiot . . . And I thought the Malfoy boy was sm-\"

Moody was cut off by a roar in the fireplace. Large green flames erupted from the smaller orange ones. A trunk came sliding out and slid across the floor. Following that was someone with long black hair and another person with blonde hair after him.

-

-

Draco walked into the fireplace and ended up on the floor on the other side. It was rather embarrassing and he was quite glad he didn\'t know anyone in the room. After he stood up and brushed himself off, voices erupted around him. Moody and Tonks were yelling at Ranma, who was standing there with a bored expression on his face.

\"Who the hell do you think you are?\" Moody yelled. \"You weren\'t supposed to get the boy we were!\"

Ranma drew a long and slow breath then released it in a huge sigh. \"I got bored. I had finished my task and I got bored sitting around. Plus I had the letter. Which, might I add, you two lost.\"

\"That doesn\'t excuse the fact that you weren\'t the one who was supposed to get him! We assumed Lucius had killed him before we found your note. Which, might I add, was not in an obvious place.\"

\"So it\'s my fault you can\'t inspect the place properly. If you knew how to actually do your job then maybe it would have seemed like an obvious place. I\'m surprised an experienced auror such as yourself doesn\'t know that you\'re supposed to inspect every little nook and cranny in a place.\" An evil sort of smile had spread across Ranma\'s face as he insulted Moody. He knew he was being mean, but what he said was true. Aurors were supposed to check everything if something was out of the ordinary. And even if there wasn\'t something wrong, they were still required to check things over.

\"Oh yes, let\'s look in every corner and under every book just to find that a note is sitting on the bed telling us that someone else took him away! Oh, and let\'s not forget to get caught by Lucius or Narcissa while we\'re at it!\" Moody was angry to say the least.

Ranma rolled his eyes. \"If you cast a silencing spell then neither would hear you. Ever think of that?\"

Before Moody could continue, Dumbledore walked in. Everyone but Lupin and Ranma looked surprised.

-

-

Dumbledore walked into the kitchen of Black Manor calmly. He was well aware of what was going on within it. He was also aware that someone who didn\'t belong here was in fact here.

He looked over at the fireplace and saw the young Malfoy. Something flashed in his eyes. But it was gone before anyone noticed. Or so he thought. Then he looked at the raven-haired man next to Draco. Dumbledore had never seen him before. He looked over to Moody who seemed to be radiating rage. Then to Tonks, Molly, Arthur, and Lupin. They all seemed to be rather shocked that he was there.

-

-

Ranma sensed Dumbledore\'s confusion. He had also noticed the panic that had flashed in his eyes. Dumbledore was obviously not expecting the Malfoy child to be here. But that left a lot of questions that needed answering.

\"Do you remember last Tuesday, Headmaster?\" asked Ranma. Ranma had to know.

Dumbledore looked thoughtful for a moment. Then he answered. \"Why yes, I do,\" Dumbledore began. \"I was sitting in my office when a letter arrived. It turned out to be the letter Mr. Malfoy here had sent to me. I replied to him immediately. Why do you ask?\"

Ranma looked back at Draco. He looked completely baffled. But soon he regained his voice.

\"Professor,\" he began, \"My owl never returned. And I sent my letter two weeks ago.\"

Now everyone seemed concerned. Moody had long since forgotten his anger, Ranma had found something that wasn\'t boring, Lupin now seemed angry, and everyone else looked extremely worried.

\"Lupin,\" Ranma said quietly. Remus looked back at him and nodded. What happened next went by in a flash.

Lupin had his wand out and pointed at Dumbledore while Ranma had his palm in Dumbledore\'s face. As soon as this happened Ranma was thrown against the opposite wall by an invisible force and Lupin\'s wand was flying through the air. In one last attempt to stop Dumbledore, Ranma grabbed at Lupin\'s wand and threw a random curse at Dumbledore. It didn\'t work, however, as it was deflected by a shield and ended up hitting Lupin.

The last thing Ranma recalled was Dumbledore disappearing in a cloud of black smoke before he blacked out.

A/n: If you\'re confused as to why Ranma\'s out cold, it\'ll be explained in the next chapter.

So tell me if ya loved it or hated it. Don\'t flame me though. And if ya hate it I don\'t want to see a review from you for the next chapter.
