A man with sandy blond hair walked past him and shot him an easy smile, an open invitation to flirt. But Draco was reminded of Harry’s lips. Those full, pink lips and the ways Harry manipulated them, albeit unknowingly, to drive him absolutely insane.
He thought of the way Harry sucked at the right side of his lower lip when he was nervous. The way his tongue peeked out between them when he was concentrating. The way he licked his lips repeatedly when he was speaking
He thought of Harry’s many different smiles. The ones, the most common, that started on the left side, almost in a sneer, before the rest of his face gave in to that explosion of joy or laughter or whatever emotion had initiated the smile. Those small tiny grins, barely noticeable, saved for him in particular. Those easy, close-lipped smiles that Harry shared with everyone. Or the smiles revealing his teeth, almost more like he was baring them in his attempts at feigning happiness. Finally there were his most beautiful smiles, the times his lips curved lazily after love, the way his eyes remained more shut than open and his lips parted just a fraction, as though issuing an invitation to explore the treasures found there.
Yes, he loved Harry’s lips. The way he pursed them when he was angry. How he bit down on the lower lip mid-coitus.
He missed those lips. Those lips that used to be his. Those lips that now belonged to something much more than he ever could have hoped to be. Or someone. Someone soft and malleable where he was stiff and unyielding. Someone exactly like…her.
