The Chocolate Frog Cards of Love
I came into my office and scratched Fawkes on the neck. As I settled into my favorite chair I sighed. It had been a long day. A very long day. The children were more rambunctious than I remembered. It must be the fact that there is no more Dark Lord hanging over their head.
I called for a hot chocolate and popped a hard candy in my mouth. The new Professors were settling in nicely. Mr. Weasley was an excellent flying instructor. It was really too bad about his Quidditch accident. Mr. Potter had decided not to deal with the press or the publicity that came after the defeat of Voldemort, so he had retired to his unplottable home near the school. He had promised to give a few lesson through the year. And Ms. Granger, ah Ms. Granger. We were fortunate that she decided to become a teacher. She was perfect for the History of Magic position. At least the boys would be paying close attention to her lessons.
Now, don\'t get me wrong. I\'m not a dirty old man. I would never dream of touching Hermione. No, I am a window shopper. I\'m more than content with what I have at home, but I do appreciate a beautiful display every now and then. Believe me, Hermione Granger had grown up to be a very beautiful display indeed.
The elf appeared with my hot chocolate. I thanked the small creature and moved closer to the fireplace. My old body creaked and groaned the later the time grew. The dampness was making my joints stiffen. I only feel old when I\'m alone.
Once I settled back into my armchair and sipped a bit of my chocolate, I thought about how I wanted to relax this evening. My eyes went to my numerous bookcases, but I decided against reading. It made my eyes water. There were several \'picture books\' I could look at, but even that didn\'t hold much interest for me.
I thought about calling on Minerva, but after the last time, my back was still a bit sore. She could be very passionate when we were together. I let my fingers run through my beard. How to relax this evening?
\"Evening Dumbledore. Looking a bit lonely. Care to join in the chess game this evening? I believe several of the other portraits are playing a selection of other board games.\"
I looked up to see one of the former headmasters staring at me. A smile spread across my face as an idea started to form. What a lovely way to relax this evening.
I pulled my hat onto my head and grabbed my wand. \"No, thank you. You\'ve given me a wonderful idea. I believe I\'ll do a bit of traveling this evening. Thank you anyway for your offer.\"
I left Minerva a short note explaining my absence. With a grin and an incantation, I was off. Off to visit my different chocolate frog cards.
Little did I know, this was the start of another great adventure.

This is something that has been rattling around in my head for the past year. I finally had enough time to write this while I was at work. (Have I mentioned that I love my job?) I\'m still working on \"The Sound of Noise\" but this is something to tide you over till the next chapter! Thanks to all who are still reading. The NC-17 stuff is around later.
