The Secret Diary of Harry Potter

The Forbidden Diary of HarryPotter

Fourteen Years:: December 5th 2014

The Hogworts Corridors was silent at night. Only the glow of torches flickering on their walls, and the occasional snore of portraits hanging in their frames could be heard.

Two figures made their way down the halls, wands in hand. They couldn’t be different looking from one another. Both sixteen years old, and both brother and sister, they were twins.

Lily Ginerva had her mothers brilliant flowing red hair that hit her shoulder in darkened locks, due to her dad’s raven-black hair. Her eyes were her fathers, a livid and shocking emerald green. They were bright and beautiful. Lily’s complexion was pale and thin, yet she had a speck of freckles splashed on her nose, resembling her mother. But her father everywhere else.

Her brother however, James Harry Potter, was a lot different looking than Lily. His eyes were the same exact green, and they weren’t the same height. He was much taller than her, by about five inches. He had messy black hair, that reminded, Lily of her daddy everytime she stared at the mischievous boy, who had developed a talent for trouble just like his grandfather and uncles. His uncles were undoubtedly twins as well.

The two were doing prefect duties. How James ever became a prefect, was beyond Lily. They were both Gryffindors. Their brother Sirius Arthur, looked identical to James, but he was a fourth year in Ravenclaw house, which came to a surprise for everyone but their father. There was no fooling Harry Potter. Nothing got passed him. Although, their father was a little more tameable in punishments than their mother. If you put a toe out of line their mother was on them like hell on brooms. Their father was more relaxed and laid back. One had to ask, how did the two even fall for each other? Sometimes James and Lily would bet on how much longer the two would stay married. They always lost, seeing as they have two more siblings, Jacob Albus and Winifred(Winnie)Molly Potter. Jacob was starting Hogwarts next term and Winnie would be starting in two years.

“Hey James, did you get the Marauder Map from dad? He said eh’d let us have it this year if we let Sirius have it when he turns sixteen.” Lily turned to her brother who was actually younger than her by two and a half minutes. Although, she wished she had his 5*10 height. Being 5*5 did not improve Lily’s adorable looks. Lily was after all a tomboy and the best damn chaser since her grandfather. James was a seeker who had a hard time rivaling against Sirius who was the seeker for Ravenclaw. Each year it would bounce between the two since Sirius’s second year. Ravenclaw would receive the cup one year while Gryffindor did the next year. Slytherin and Hufflepuff didn’t stand a chance.

James smiled wickedly, and slid out a piece of yellow parchment, “You bet Lils.” he said, tapping it with his wand, and muttering the usual saying. “I solemnly swear that I am up to no good.” as expected the map was revealed in all her glory.

Lily leaned over with her mouth hanging open in surprise, “Wow.” she whispered.

James grinned, “Wicked isn’t it? Let’s check out some of these secret passages.” said James, interestedly.

Before he started his sixth year, James’ father told him about the add ons he gave to the map that his grandparents had missed. So James, had them pointed out.

“Let’s check out the Room of Requirement.” murmured James.

“What’s that?” asked Lily curiously.

James grinned, “A room in Hogwarts, that only if you need it for a reason it’ll appear.” said James.

Lily smiled surruptitiously, “C’mon! Let’s find it.” she said, scanning her eyes and wand down the formiddable map.

“Dad said it would be here, next to the tapestry.”

“That old thing?” Lily remembered passing it several times, going to see the Deputy Headmistress’ McGonagall’s office.

Having co-cocked a couple Slytherins for picking on the younger students. Lily’s form of prefect discipline had been looked down upon. Lily had no idea, everytime McGonagall had been ready to revoke her prefect badge that she would see Lily and Harry’s eyes, and just assign detention with Mr. Archie, the caretaker.

“Yes you pass it twice, and think of what you’re wanting out of the room.” said James.

“Weird.” murmured Lily as they made their way up the hall. The two didn’t need an invisibility cloak to sneak around. The two were sixth year prefects, and had free reign. Their head of house happened to be their grand-godfather, Remus Lupin. He was also the Transfiguration Teacher. So the two were able to have all the leadway they wanted, unless they were to run into the Slytherin Head Of House; Severus Snape, who would be retiring in Lily and James’s final year, which was June. Which was a pity, because Jacob was worse than James when it came to mischief.

It took the duo a few moments to find the tapestry and when they did James passed it twice thinking, ‘I need a secret room where no one can see us, that has a bunch of secretive items.’ A grins pread widely over James’s face as he thought of these things.

Lily watched and she gasped, when the door appeared. A hand flew to her mouth as she bounced on her heels in a girlish fashion. She may be a tomboy but sometimes she forgot.

James just laughed, as he seen the door, “Amazing.” was all the teen could say as, he opened it and entered, his eyes widen. All around were forbidden items that Filch the former caretaker had taken and not given back or that Mr. Archie the new caretaker had taken. Also things people had lost, and lost diaries and journals. Lily squealed with delight as she thought of all the people’s lives she could pry into.

James was looking at the items, picking things up sniffing it and prodding it with his wand.

“Why are you smelling it?”asked Lily, raising an interested eye.

James laughed, “Dog habits.” he murmured.

Lily giggled lightly, the two had become animagus’s with their father’s approval and supervision. James was a shaggy black dog with big green eyes. Lily happened to be a red and white fox, with vivid green eyes. Each had a name for the other. ‘BlackPaw’ was James’s, and Lily’s was ‘Foxy’. Although, the red head argued over this name for a quarter of an hour, she was still faced with the wretched name that she grew to like, although telling anyone would result in their immediate death.

For a quarter of an hour, the two trudged through all of the items. James and Lily would occassionally pocket the items that they found. they trudged through dropped and left diaries, with amusement. Some they couldn’t open without being hexed, others had a password engraved or their was simple invisible ink to make it look as if someone just forgot to write in it.

“James!” Lily shrieked, all of a sudden.

She picked up a scarlet diary. James’ head tilted to the side but he couldn’t see his sister, “What?” he dropped, an item, and walked over to his sister, quickly. He thought she had gotten hurt by something. But instead, she was holding a scarlet book her eyes widen like snitches.

“What?” he asked again, and looked over her shoulder and his mouth fell open.

“Whoa.... where did you find this?” James gulped, as he touched the book with gold letters on it.

“O.. over here in the Gryffindor mess. Oh wow, dad would die.” said Lily weakly.

“Yes...” answered James. He aloud what his father had written on the cover.

Property of Harry Potter;

Before you decide to enter what it rightfully mine, and not yours, take heed of what awaits if you decide to trudge upon these pages. There is more than the silly little hexes of jelly-jinx-legs on this fine reading material. There is hell and high water, and gods and goddess’ be with you shall you open without examining, what could lay between the layers of spells and hexes. If you manage to get through my curses, you have all ready been sealed and bound with a fidelius curse that none of these events shall be spilled to any other person, not even legilimency will find out these events, if I prohibit them and indeed I do. Only my blood can open and close these books freely without being hexed and cursed, and my twins are much too young to do any sort of thing. So heres a word of caution. Turn back now while you still have your eye sight. Is going blind worth finding dirt on the Boy Who Lived?

Lily and James were awestruck at the hardback book. “Well.. it says only blood can open them freely.” said James.

Lily gave a faint nod, “Think we should read it? I mean this is our dad we’re talking about...” she turned the book over twice in her hands, debating whether they should open it or not.

James gave a grin, “Well it doesn’t hurt to find out more about our dad.”

“Yes, but... what if this is more than just... what he went through with.. V.. Voldemort. What if... there are personal encounters?” she asked, with a slight wince.

James grinned, “Well we don’t have to tell anyone that we ever read it. As a matter of fact, we can slide this in one of our vaults so no one else gets a hold of it.” said James.

Lily nodded, “It would be disasterous if someone gets a hold of this without permission and somehow got passed all the booby traps.”

“So you wanna read it?” James asked, his eyes never leaving the book.

Lily could see the enticing look in his eyes, as he stared at the scarlet book.

She sighed, “Yes, shall we start?”

“We need something to sit on.” Murmured James, touching his lips. Just as he said that a loveseat appeared.

Lily laughed, “I knew you were good for something.” she teased, bounding over and plopping down.

James rolled his eyes, “OK Foxy let’s get started...” he teased, as he sat close to his sister, who opened the book and wince for a second, but nothing came after so she figured it was all right.
