Discovering Yourself

Chapter 1

Harry\'s summer was starting to look abysmal. He could not stop reliving the events of what happened at the Ministry, watching Sirius fall behind the veil repeatedly. There was also the prophecy that Dumbledore had talked to him about, how he would have to face Voldamort alone and that only one of them would survive. He was going to have to kill someone, and whether or not that person deserved it, murder was still murder and he still thought it was wrong. The only up side of the holiday was that even though he was going to be spending it with the Dursley\'s again they were terrified. All three of them had walked to the car in a trance like state. Uncle Vernon\'s usually deep purple face was now stark white and Aunt Petunia looked as though she was going to be sick. Dudley, who had had a good look at Moody\'s magical eye, was shaking from head to toe. No one said a word as the entered the car and they all drove back to 4 Privet Drive Surrey in absolute silence.
They had barely stepped out of the car when an owl came swooping and dropped a letter into Harry\'s waiting hands.

Mister Potter.
The department of Births, Marriages and Deaths requests your presence tomorrow at 1:30 to hear the Last Will and Testament of Sirius Black.
Yours sincerely,
Jessica Everet
Head of Inheritance Bureau

\"What\'s going on? We only saw those freak\'s an hour ago, what on earth are they doing sending those ruddy birds already.\" Vernon bellowed. He probably would have gone bright red if it were not for the fact that the memory of certain said \"freaks\" was still fresh in his memory. He was currently a rather un-fetching shade of lobster pink and looked very much like he had been out in the sun too long.
Harry did not say anything. He was not ready to talk about Sirius\' death yet, at least not with the Dursley’s anyway. The wound was too raw still and that would just be rubbing salt in it. They would only say thing like \"he deserved it\" and \"had it coming\". He was seriously considering not going to the ministry tomorrow. If anyone asked, he could just say he was not feeling well.
At that point, a second owl came swooping down; just brushing the top of Petunia\'s head. She let out a blood-curdling scream and ran into the house, shortly followed by Vernon and Dudley. The owl came to rest on the garden wall, seeming undisturbed by the awful noise. Harry untied the note from its leg and it immediately took off.

Dear Harry,
I am sure that you have received a letter from the ministry informing you of Sirius\' Will. As you know, Wormtail was captured at the raid on the ministry and Sirius\' name has been cleared. However, they do not want to emphasise the fact that they made a mistake, which is why there has not been a public announcement and why they are dealing with the will as quickly as possible. I have already talked with Albus and he has agreed that it will be best if you spend the night at 12 Grimwald Place and we all go down together. I will be round to pick you up at 10 tonight so be ready with your broom and a change of clothes along with whatever else you may need.
See you soon,
Your friend,
Remus

Harry smiled. Although the thought of spending the night at 12 Grimwald Place filled Harry with a sense of dread at least he would not be alone. Remus would be with him and god only knew how hard it must be for him, his two best friends killed. Harry had also not had much of a chance to talk to his old and still favourite DADA teacher over the past two years and this would be the perfect excuse to get to know the werewolf better, maybe he could even weasel out some good tales about the Marauders. As far as Harry was aware, 10:00 could not come fast enough.
