New Beginnings

It’s nearly the beginning of Sarah’s 2nd year at Hogwarts. She had spent the last 4 week of her holidays at the Malfoy’s manor. Her parents had gone on holiday for her fathers work and she didn’t have anyone but the Malfoy’s to stay with, since her friend tried to kill her last year. The Malfoy’s were more then happy to have Sarah stay with them. Lucius would do anything to be near a real Slytherin and Sarah was just that. Lucius was also known for deeply kissing butt.
Sarah had had her birthday at the Malfoy’s. One week and 2 days ago she turned 16 and Draco had turned 16 4 days before.


Sarah opened her eyes and looked around the bedroom she slept in while she stayed at the Malfoy’s. She liked staying with the Malfoy’s, it helped her to get to know Draco better. As she got used to being awake she remembered that it was the last day of the holidays and her parents were back from their holidays. She and the Malfoy’s were going to go to Diagon Alley to buy supplies and meet her parents.
Sarah sat up in her bed and rubbed her eyes. She pulled off the bed sheets and got out of her bed. She looked outside and saw that it was still pretty dark so it must be early. She walked over to her trunk and pulled out her jeans, a white top and a white jacket along with white runners. She walked back over to her bed and put the clothes down. She took off her pyjamas and put on the clothes.
Sarah thought that it would be nice to go for a little walk outside around the garden for a while. She threw her hair up in to a pony tail and left the bedroom. She walked down the steps quietly not wanting to wake anyone up. She walked out of the front door and in to the cool breeze. She walked down the front steps and on to the path.
Sarah walked around the manor to the back. She liked walking around the garden. There wasn’t much flowers but it was still nice with the trees in the back ground. She walked over to a little bench that was under a big oak tree. She sat down and sighed. Taking in a good breath of the fresh air and blowing it out.

Draco walked around his room in his green silk pyjamas. He heard
footsteps from the room next to his and knew that Sarah was awake. He looked out of his window and saw Sarah sitting under the large oak tree. He used to do that when he was younger. He thought that he would go and give her a visit and went to get dressed.

Sarah looked up at the tree and saw a black cat sitting on a branch, staring at a little bird. She knew that the cat was after the bird but she did nothing. The black cat looked so dark, but so beautiful. Its eyes were a dark shade of yellow with a black slit. The cat looked away from the bird and down at Sarah. They both stared at each other for a while, until the cat jumped off the branch and on to Sarah’s lap.
“Oh.” Sarah slightly jumped as the cat landed on her lap. The cat rubbed it’s self on Sarah and purred. “OK.” Sarah scratched the cats ear.
“Hey.”
“Ah!” Sarah screamed, scaring the cat. She turned around and saw Draco. “Don’t scare me like that!”
“Sorry.” Draco sat down next to her. “Good morning.”
“Morning.” Sarah turned her head and gave Draco a kiss. Draco looked down at the cat.
“Shoo.” Draco hissed at the cat. The cat hissed back and jumped off of Sarah and ran away. “Little git.”
“Don’t you like cats?” Sarah asked.
“No. Especially not that one.”
“Why?”
“That cat scratched me when I was a kid. I sill have the scar.” Draco replied.
“I can’t see it.” Sarah looked at Draco’s face.
“It’s not on my face it’s on my stomach.”
“Oh ok.” Sarah laughed.
“So to morrow we go back to Hogwarts huh?” Draco said in disappointment.
“Yep. Can’t wait.” Sarah was excited.
“Ah, right.”
“It was good being here though. I really liked getting to know you a little better.”
“Yeah it was good having you here.” Draco smoothed back his hair. “I love you.”
“That’s really nice Draco.” Sarah smiled.
“You’re welcome, it’s true.” Draco looked up for a second.
“Draco?”
“Oh sorry. I was just thinking that you know we haven’t, you know yet.”
“Had sex?” Sarah finished it off.
“Yeah and that’s cool and all I don’t care. Actually I wouldn’t mind if we never had it at all.” Draco assured.
“That’s ok. I know what you mean.” Sarah laughed. “It’s just a bit odd for you not to be having sex with in the first week that you got with the girl and you’ve been with me for 2 months and we haven’t even gotten close to sex. Am I right?”
“Yeah.” Draco nodded.
“Good. Come on let’s go to breakfast.” Sarah pulled Draco up off the bench. She held his hand and they both walked back in to the manor. They walked into the dinning room and saw Narcissa and Lucius sitting at the table eating their breakfast. Sarah walked over to the table and sat down, Draco sat down next to her. “Morning.”
“Good morning.” Lucius said, over the copy of the daily prophet.
“Good morning dear.” Narcissa said politely, but still held a slight look of displeasure on her face. Sarah often thought that she was the cause of the look. “You excited about seeing your parents today?”
“Yes, very.” Sarah nodded. “I miss them, but if they had not gone I would not have stayed here. It’s wonderful here.”
“That’s nice.”
“Yes, very good. Glad you like my home Sarah… now eat up.” Lucius said with a soft pushy tone.
“Ok.” Sarah looked at Draco and he looked at her, both looking a little confused at Lucius’ pushiness. They both looked away then began to eat. Sarah and the Malfoy’s were to go to Diagon Alley to Sarah’s parents and do some shopping for school supplies.

30 minutes later Lucius announced that it was time for them to be going.
“We must be going now.” Lucius said as he stood up.
“Ok. I’ll be back in a second.” Sarah ran as quick as she could up to her room, and then into the bathroom. She picked up her hair brush and brushed her hair. She put down the hair brush and picked up her tooth brush and began to brush her teeth.
“SARAH WE MUST GET GOING!” Lucius’ voice boomed around her. Sarah spat out the foaming tooth paste and rinsed out her mouth. She walked out of the bathroom and looked around to see if she had forgotten anything that she needed for Diagon Alley. She walked up to her bed and grabbed her wand from under her pillow and put it in the back of her pants. She made sure that her volt key for Gringotts was still in her pocket. She then left her room and accidentally run into something or someone.
“Ouch.” Sarah rubbed her head.
“Yeah, ouch.” Draco laughed as he rubbed his chest.
“Sorry Draco.” Sarah apologized.
“It’s ok babe.”
“We better go. Your Dad’s getting angry.” Sarah held Draco’s hand and walked downstairs again. “Do we floo there?”
“No.” Draco shook his head. “Father only uses floo for emergencies. We use a portkey.”
“Oh right.”
“Come on.” Lucius growled.
“Alright.” Draco and Sarah walked up to Lucius and Narcissa.
“Come close now.” Lucius waved Sarah and Draco closer. All hands were placed on to the portkey and with a pop they left the manor.
