Draco ran into the room holding another blasted magazine. “Harry, what about this?”
Harry groaned, “It’s great Draco. Just pick what you like and we’ll go with it.”
“But Harry, I want this wedding to be perfect.”
“I know you do. But you really should stop stressing so much.”
“But-but Harry don’t you think this is important too?”
Harry got the message. Draco sounded like he was on the verge of tears. This wedding meant a lot to Draco and Harry was not going to make things difficult for his love. “Draco, my love, of course I think this is important. It’s just, we have plenty of time. We don’t need to worry about this so early.”
“We only have three more months. THREE MONTHS. That’s not a lot Harry.”
Harry sighed, “I know. But- oh fine, what are we looking at today?”
This seemed to satisfy the blonde as he smiled and plopped himself down on the couch right next to Harry. “Well I was thinking about the centre pieces for the reception afterward.”
Harry gave his fiancé an ‘I told you so’ look but the blonde ignored it and continued. “See, I like this red coloured centre piece right there.” he pointed at a picture with a dozen roses around a single red candle with a thin gold rim. The roses each had gold frozen droplets that looked like water on the petals. The bowl holding the entire thing together was clear showing the red stones in the water with a thin gold rim also. “But I also like this other red one.” He pointed at another picture with a giant wax mould for the bowl and a single red rose in the centre that had a flick at the top telling Harry that the rose was a candle. There was also water dripping off the petals and into the waxed bowl but the water seemed to disappear once it reached the waxed bowl and the rose was continually flowing water.
“Draco, they are both beautiful. Don’t worry about it. Just chose one that would go with the theme.”
“But which one? Our theme is the stars and the sea.” Said the blonde looking between the two pictures chewing on his lip.
Harry took hold of the blondes chin in his hand so the blonde’s gaze was on him. “Love, don’t chew on those lips. Only I do that.” The blonde smiled in his lovers grasp, “But whatever you wish will do. I guess the second one since we will be having our reception out at sea.”
Draco hugged Harry, “That’s a great idea. Thanks for the input!” said Draco and he ran out of the room once again holding the magazine in his hands and smiling like a very excited bride, wait, he IS a very excited bride, or should it be groom? Whichever, it didn’t matter.

**Three days later
“Harry, we have to go over the wedding invitations! We need to start inviting people and decide where they go. During the wedding and during the reception.” Rambled a very excited sounding Draco.
Harry smiled at his fiancé’s enthusiasm, “Of course. Lets look on the list then shall we?”
Draco took out the list he already had and spread it out on the desk before Harry. “Okay on my side we have Blaise, Pansy, Crabbe, Goyle, Millicent, my mother dearest, and Severus. Now, I was informed that Blaise is going to be bringing someone. Pansy and Goyle have a kid together and Millicent and Crabbe have three kids together. Mother and Severus will be brining Devon.”
Lucius had died during the war. Severus had proclaimed his love he had for Narcissa throughout the many years and they had soon gotten married and had given Draco beautiful baby sister to love and look after. They named her Devon seeing as how that name was so similar to Draco’s and Narcissa had always loved the name Draco anyway.
Harry nodded. “Will they all be sitting together? I think we should split up the tables but that might not be enough people.”
“Oh, that’s a good idea. So how about we put Blaise and his date with the Crabbe’s table and everyone else in another table. Six and seven per table.”
“Sure.”
Draco sighed, “Now, your side. Oh man, I don’t know what we’re going to do with your side.”
Harry laughed. “I know. It’s going to be red heads everywhere.”
Draco groaned. “Ugh.”
Harry laughed again, “Okay so what have we got?”
They both planned on for the next little while and ended up with a perfect solution to everything.
*~*
“Harry, hurry up! I want to try on the suits!” yelled Draco in the kitchen of their home.
“Coming. Hold on.” Yelled Harry from above.
Draco groaned and when Harry finally showed up Draco glared. Everything was forgotten though as soon as Harry gave Draco a kiss.
“Ready?” asked Draco smiling while he was holding onto Harry’s hand.
Harry nodded and they apparated to a robe store in France. Draco refused to have anything less than the very best and the very best was in France. Personally tailored robes for the both of them was a necessity according to the fussy blonde.
Harry and Draco smiled as they arrived in the store.
“Bonjour Miseur’s. Please follow me.” said the nice French lady with a beautiful French accent.
Both the lovers followed and to Draco’s disappointment they had to be separated as they tried on their robes.
Draco walked out of the dressing room with a deep dark green coloured set of robes on. He looked at himself in the mirror and turned his head trying to get a good look at every angle possible.
A few glances at himself later a couple of very harassed looking ladies walked out of the stall next to his own and a very red faced Harry followed.
Harry glared at Draco as if everything that had happened in there was his doing. Draco smiled at the embarrassed expression of his lover but raised an eyebrow at the choice of robes.
Harry ungracefully stomped his way to the mirror next to Draco and stood there with his arms across his chest. “I don’t like red.”
“But Harry you look lovely.”
Harry glared again.
Draco nodded toward the mirror and Harry looked. He had to admit he didn’t look that bad. The red contrasted his eyes perfectly. Being complementary colours of course it worked wonders for both Harry’s eyes and his flushed face.
“Harry, if you blush like that during the ceremony you’ll look great.” Said Draco.
Harry glared again but took in his lover’s appearance. “You look lovely.”
Draco smiled, “I know. It matches your eyes.”
Harry blushed again and Draco smiled even more. “Keep that up and in less than three months we’ll look perfect with those robes.”
“Draco, can’t I pick some other robes?”
Draco shrugged, “Sure but I think I’ll stick with these for me.” he said eyeing the lady who welcomed the two of them earlier.
Harry glared with a smirk creeping onto the side of his lips as he made his way back to his changing area with a bit more grace than he had earlier.
Finally, after a lot of fussiness from Draco trying to make everything perfect with Harry and a large amount of glares from Harry directed to anyone in the room with the two of them they were done.
Harry had actually settled for the first set of robes he had tried on. Draco seemed to like them best so he didn’t bother to argue and plus, he wanted everything perfect with Draco at their wedding. Though Harry did pick up the fact that Draco’s robes wouldn’t match the colours of the reception.
When they arrived home Harry decided to point this fact out to his love.
“Draco, you know green isn’t matching the theme. We have red and gold everywhere. I still don’t understand why you had to go and chose red and gold either. You’re a Slytherin. Shouldn’t it be green and silver?”
Draco smiled, “I know. But I wanted this to be your night as well. Don’t worry. The church will be in green and silver but the reception will be in red and gold. It matches the ocean more anyway.”
Harry smiled, “You’ve thought about everything haven’t you?”
Draco smiled. “Yes. And do I get a reward for that?”
Harry raised an eyebrow seductively, “Shouldn’t this wait until after we’re married?”
Draco rolled his eyes, “You didn’t say that when we first made love.”
Harry smiled, “True. Lets get to it then shall we?”
“MMmm… certainly.” Mumbled Draco as Harry had just licked the very sensitive spot on his neck.
*~*
Two weeks passed and everyone they had invited had responded immediately to inform the couple that they would be delighted to attend the event of their wedding. Not just bonding, no, they were going to be married and they were going to have a reception that was going to be wonderful. Just like all the other weddings everyone else had.
“Harry, did you want to look for rings today?” asked a very excited Draco who just checked the last names off on his list who just informed him that they will indeed be attending this momentous event. In fact Harry had to hire Colin as their wedding photographer but that wasn’t a problem seeing as how much Colin adored Harry anyway.
Harry smiled, the excitement from Draco and spilled into his own mind feeling almost as excited as his blonde lover. Draco was so happy planning and setting everything up. Draco smiled so much lately Harry was a bit afraid of getting married. What if it was the fact that Draco was doing this that made him so happy? Once they were married, would Draco actually continue with his delightful mood each day?
But then Harry didn’t bother asking any more questions. He didn’t care. He just wanted to be able to wake up to Draco every day and look into those eyes before he slept. He loved how happy Draco was at the moment and he would give up forever if it meant that the blonde was this happy at least at one point in his life. The blonde deserved it after all.
They arrived at the ring shop and a very happy looking man attended to their service.
Draco had put on a silver ring with a large emerald at the top. He liked it but Harry didn’t. He thought it was too cliché so Draco put it down and picked a less ‘cliché’ one. It was still silver and it still had a green emerald but the emerald was smaller and there was an image of the stars and the sea engraved on the ring.
Draco liked it. It reminded him of the theme for the wedding and that theme would be remembered forever. Harry picked the same ring except with a red ruby in the place of the emerald.
They would come pick them up when it was closer to the wedding.
*~*
It was almost a month and a half until the wedding and there seemed to be an endless amount of work for Draco to do.
In the end Draco had made Devon, his little sister, their flower girl. Then Ron and Hermione had heard the news and pressured Harry into making their son, Matthew, the ring boy. Draco didn’t have a problem but Harry didn’t really like the idea of making it too muggle. He was afraid Draco wouldn’t like it but Draco loved the idea.
Draco ran into the study where Harry was looking over some Auror plans. “Harry! What about these as wedding favours?”
Harry put down the papers he was holding and looked at the magazine Draco just dropped on his desk. He saw a star with a single red rose weaving in, out, and around the star. Harry smiled at that. It looked interesting but just something seemed to be missing.
He liked at another picture Draco had circled in the magazine and it was a little globe, it resembled a crystal ball but it was quite interesting. There was a little seat of water and on the water surface there were scattered red petals floating. Harry guessed that the little sparkles in the sky were brightly glittered stars.
Harry liked that one more. “This one. And plus we’ll be out at sea in the middle of the night. It would be an interesting source of light for the guests.”
Draco smiled. “I love it too.” He said and he kissed Harry’s cheek before he ran out of the room and make a quick floo order on the crystal globes.
*~*
Finally with all the ordering and all the frantic planning the two had done it was exactly two weeks from their wedding day and they had to look everything over once more.
They went to the dock and saw the platform they would be having their reception on.
It was a beautifully charmed platform made JUST for the couple. It was a flat platform with railing bars on the side to keep the children from falling off.
The floor was a nice pale coloured wood. On their right from when they walk on from the dock was the desk for signing their names. Behind the table was a nice heated coatroom.
After the guests make their way onto the platform after they sign there will be a trail of red rose petals that lead to the front of the platform, this is where Draco and Harry will be seated. There was a raised area for them to overlook their guests. There were even stairs for the two of them to climb.
The tables were scattered around. There would only be seven tables in total. Right by the guest room on the ground was the underground kitchen area where the volunteered house elves would be making their meals. Dobby being the head house elf of the night, of course.
The platform was shaped like a pointed floor but it would be beautiful when it started floating on the ocean when came time of the wedding. Draco had to make sure that none of the guest or house elves were going to be getting seasick. That would just not do even for their wonderful day.
Their next stop was the church they were to be wed in. Draco picked this one himself. He refused to be wed in a different church than the one his mother had been wed in. Both marriages for Narcissa were done in this building. It was a tradition from her side. Draco intended to follow this tradition no matter the cost. It was a beautiful white church. It looked as if it was built for weddings. It was beautiful and perfect in every way.
There were gold bells at the very top of the church right above the entrance. When you walk into the church it was beautiful. Everything had been done in either white marble, the walls and stone table, or in wood painted white, the pews and doors.
Draco had ordered a few decorators to come in and decorate this place three days before the wedding was to take place. Everything was to be done in green and silver. Every single decoration was to be put up manually. This was very important and Draco had stressed this point to no end.
There was a beautiful white organ at the very front of the church. Even their song would be played the muggle way. Draco wanted this and Harry did not argue.
After an entire day of apparating and making sure everything was in place the two fell asleep as soon as they reached their bed.
Harry had his arms wrapped protectively around Draco and Draco had snuggled up to Harry as close as he possibly could. This was an everyday thing. Even if they had not gone to bed this way, for some reason they would wake up in that position.
*~*
Finally they had two days to go before the wedding. They had picked up their robes and their rings already. The wedding favours had already arrived and Draco had already decorated the platform and placed everything in its proper position for the reception.
This night however was for their wedding rehearsal. Some of the decoration in the church had begun and it looked amazing even only being half finished.
Narcissa and Severus had arrived with Devon. Hermione and Ron had arrived with Matthew.
Instead of Having Albus Dumbledore as their minister they requested for the muggle priest who had wed Narcissa and Severus to wed Harry and Draco.
They rehearsed and rehearsed until Harry was about to tip over. The children were restless. Matthew had cried a few times because he was so tired but Draco ignored it all. Draco needed everything to be perfect. Absolute perfection was what Draco wanted and with all Harry’s strength, he was going to make it perfect for his love.
*~*
Finally came the long anticipated day of the wedding. Draco had gotten up early and was cooking Harry some breakfast.
Harry smiled as he made his way downstairs and was greeted with a very energetic beautiful blonde.
Their wedding was set for this afternoon at five. Then it was going to be the reception until later at night.
They ate breakfast and Harry had finally convinced Draco to relax and take a seat on the couch in front of the fire with him.
“Draco, you’ve been working for three months. It’s time to rest.”
“But we’re not married yet. I want everything-”
“Perfect.” Said Harry interjecting Draco’s sentence.
Draco smiled and Harry took this moment to pull Draco down to him. They kissed for a long time until Draco finally pulled away.
“Harry, I need to pack for our honey moon right after the reception. We’ll be gone for three weeks. I need to make sure I brought everything. If I forget anything, that’s not going to be good.”
“Draco,” said Harry pulling the blonde into his lap. “You checked and double checked everything already. We have everything. We have more than everything. Was it really necessary to bring twenty rolls of film?”
“Yes! What if some don’t turn out properly? And some are being developed the muggle way. I’m not too trusting with those, mistakes can be made with muggle film.”
“Draco, they were all rolls of forty eight. Do you know how insane that is? And on top of that we still have our wedding pictures.”
“Yes I know. And we’ll need to take posed wedding pictures as well after we get back from our honeymoon. I already talked to Colin about this.”
“Draco, I’m not going to disappear after we get married.”
“I know. But I want pictures everywhere when we get back!”
Harry smiled and gave in. There was no way of changing Draco’s mind and he actually felt the idea of so many pictures interesting. It was going to be fun watching Draco put them all into photo albums.
“Draco, did we need two guest books?”
“Yes! Of course! One for the actual ceremony and one for the reception.”
“Okay, I give so, what do we do? It’s only twelve, we have five hours to go.”
Draco’s jaw dropped, “Are you insane? We only have two hours left. We need three hours to get ready for everything tonight. I need to check on the cake again and make sure none of the charms had come off our reception area. Then I need to check on the church and oh dear Harry, I should start checking now before it’s too late.”
Harry smiled, “Okay, if we check now will you feel a bit better later?”
Draco nodded. They both apparated to the places. They had indeed fallen upon some last minute problems. Although Draco was practically flipping about them as if they were seriously large details that needed to be tended to. In actuality they were small things like how one of the green ribbons had a shorter loop than all the others at the church. How one of the centre pieces were angled to the left a bit too much.
Harry actually loved how much effort Draco was putting into this.
When they got back home they had enough time for a shower each and to get dressed. Their rings were tied to the ring pillow that would be given to Matthew in an hour or so.
Draco helped Harry dress. Constantly shifting Harry’s tie and straightening the robes. Harry was a bit surprised when Draco started rubbing his cheek’s a bit to get some tint colour in there. But after a few rubs Draco’s didn’t need to do so any longer. Harry had started to blush and Draco smiled.
It almost seemed as though Draco was paying more attention to Harry than to himself. Harry sighed and did the same to Draco but was not as fuzzy about everything as the blonde had been.
They had exactly half an hour until the ceremony was to begin. Everything was beautiful. When they arrived it was just beginning to turn dark and most the guests had already arrived. Everyone looked amazing but of course, no one there looked as perfect as the two being wed.
Draco quickly went through all the steps with Matthew and handed the brown curly haired boy the ring pillow with their rings on it.
He went through the procedure with Devon and the small girl smiled the entire time and gave her big brother a hug and a kiss on the cheek before they went off. Neither of the two were going to be given away.
The two slowly walked up to the alter with the soft music of ‘Pachelbel’s Canon in D Major’ playing in the background from the organ. As they made their way up to the alter they were holding hands and had eyes only for each other. Neither taking their eyes off the other. It was a beautiful moment beyond all imagination. There were sniffled cries among the group of guests but neither of them noticed. They hadn’t even noticed the flashes made by Colin all around them trying to take pictures at every angle he could get to.
When they arrived at the alter they still hadn’t taken their eyes off one another. They stood above everyone else looking intently into one another’s eyes.
“We are standing here to witness the marriage of Draco Malfoy and Harry Potter.” Said the minister who was going to wed the two.
“I, Draco Malfoy, take you Harry James Potter, to be my lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better or for worst, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part in physical connection. Forever I know I will love you, death will not keep me away from you. I love you with all my heart and all of my soul. You give me life to live, you give me strength to live, you give me hope for the future, you give me everything I have only dared to dream of. Hereto I pledge my forever and ever faithfulness. I will forever love you there is no until, there is no end. With our undying love and never ending stretching understanding our souls will live forever.”
They both had tears running down their cheeks and although this did not affect them, some of the male amongst the guests had started to cry as well. Draco slowly slipped the silver ring with the red ruby onto Harry’s ring finger on his left hand.
“I, Harry James Potter, take you Draco Malfoy, to be my lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better or for worst, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish. There is no death in our love it lives forever. It will strengthen in our good times and we will work hard to patch the holes in our bad times. I promise you with all my heart and soul that no matter what happens we will only be stronger. After each bad there will be double the amount of good. I promise, I believe, I love you. Endless and forever building love for us to live through and to die through. We are souls that dance and keep dancing forever to a music known only to us. I do not love you because you are beautiful, I do not love you because you are wealthy. I love you because you sing a song that only I can hear. You are my strength, my love, my hope, my dreams, you are my everything.”
By now even tears could be seen in the eyes of the minister. Some of the older children had also started to tear and the love at the strength of the words they both spoke of. Draco was openly crying now. Finding it very difficult to breath with all the happiness swelling in his chest as Harry slowly slipped the silver ring with the green emerald onto the beautiful pale finger.
“No-now you may kiss as I pronounce you forever loving husbands.” Proclaimed the minister who stuttered for a moment.
Draco looked into Harry’s eyes and Harry looked into Draco’s eyes. They were all glistened with tears that were falling and tears that were building up. They both smiled at one another and they both moved in unison towards each other and kissed. They were so lost in their own world they hadn’t heard the standing ovation they received nor did they hear ‘Pachelbel’s cannon’ take flight once again.
When they finally pulled away they looked onto the crowed with tear-stained cheeks and smiled. The couple walked out of the church with all the guests following behind them. They both entered their white carriages with perfectly white coloured horses who trotted gently and followed the candled path to the platform by the dock.
Everyone had arrived at the platform already since the two had taken the route through a park nearby. They enjoyed the beautiful scent of the park and the ride alone with each other.
They both got off the carriage but the others had plans for the newly wed. Harry was blindfolded while Draco had taken his hand and led his husband onto the platform.
“Um, okay, what’s going on?!” asked a very nervous Harry.
He could hear a great amount of whispering around him and he was really starting to get nervous. The fact that they could very easily throw him off the platform into the very cold water didn’t help him. Though the kiss Draco had given his on the cheek did reassure him a bit.
Finally Ron announced, “Okay, Draco you can take off his blindfold.”
Draco did so and Harry opened his eyes and was looking out into the ocean. He didn’t get it but Draco appeared at his side and smiled at him. Draco turned him around and what Harry saw was the most amazing miracle he had ever seen.
“SIRIUS?”
Sirius smiled and quickly hugged his godson. They were both together holding one another and crying tears of happiness.
Finally Harry had pulled away and looked at his godfather. “I don’t get it.”
Sirius smiled at him, “THAT my boy was Remus’s idea.”
Harry looked behind Sirius and eyed Remus. Remus was blushing madly but was standing a distance away.
Sirius spoke again returning Harry’s attention to him once more. “You see, when I fell behind the curtain I was caught. I hadn’t fallen through. There were two layers of curtains and Severus Snape was standing behind the first set. He had apparated there and had caught me right before I fell. He had used a time turner and had gone back in time to the moment I fell beyond the vile and caught me.”
Harry eyed Severus who was smiling at him. Harry smiled warmly back at the man who saved his godfathers life.
“But then why did you wait this long to come back?” asked Harry
Sirius smiled, “Actually you were the only one here who didn’t know I was still alive.”
Harry’s jaw dropped and he spun around and looked at Draco who had left the two to their moment. “You knew?”
Draco nodded and blushed. Harry had never seen Draco blush before, it was a very unMalfoy thing to do so he shot his new husband a fake glare and turned his attention back to his godfather.
“That was because Remus here,” Sirius waved towards Remus disapprovingly as he said this, “thought it best if it be a surprise for you. And now it is your wedding gift from us to you.”
Harry smiled again and hugged his godfather again. “It’s the best gift EVER!”
It took a while for Harry to catch on but he eventually did, “US?” he asked in shock as he moved away from his godfather to look him in the eye.
Sirius smiled as Remus took that as his cue to move up. They both smiled at Harry though the werewolf still had a blush on his cheeks. “Yes Harry, us. We are together.”
Harry’s jaw dropped again, “And is there something ELSE I don’t know about? Please tell me now or in the future I may really die from a heart attack.”
They both shook their heads. “No, that’s all.”
Harry smiled and hugged them both, “I’m so happy for you!” he whispered.
“We’re happy for you as well Harry.” Whispered Remus in his ear.
The evening finally proceeded and they all ate their wonderfully cooked meal that was absolute perfection to add onto the already perfect night. Dobby had really outdone himself with the entire meal. Everything was perfect.
Everyone had something they comented on that they loved about the wedding. Credit had been given to Draco although the blonde would glare at Harry when the raven-haired man told them it was all Draco’s doing.
They had cut the cake together with ample amount of pictures having been taken of them. It was beautiful. They were all afloat in the middle of the ocean at night. The platform had been magically charmed to stay warm so the night ocean air didn’t affect their temperatures although there was a small breeze of ocean air flowing about.
They had slowly started drifting back to the dock when it came around ten o’clock. The children were tired and restless and all the adults were happy that it had been such a beautiful and perfect wedding and night.
After they had arrived at the docks there was the carriage once again waiting to take them both to the airport. They would be going on their honeymoon the muggle way.
There was a great deal of wishing and congratulating before they made their way onto the carriage.
Draco sat there in Harry’s arms on the carriage as it slowly took them both to the airport. “Draco, that was beautiful.”
Draco smiled up at the beautiful face he would be able to spend the rest of his life with. “It was wasn’t it?”
“Thank you for the special day.”
“Your welcome Harry but it was my day too thank you very much.”
Harry smiled, “Yes of course but it was a beautiful day not only for us but everyone that was there. It was a moderate sized wedding. Nothing fancy and yet nothing small either. It was beautiful and perfect.”
Draco smiled, “Yeah, the Weasley’s took up half the list.”
Harry smiled and kissed Draco’s forehead. “You know, I mean everything I said today.”
Draco smiled, “I know. I mean every word too.”
Harry brought his lips to Draco’s and they kissed as the carriage slowly took them to the airport. They went on their honeymoon. Three weeks passed and they returned to their world. Filled with presents and love from everyone who knew about the wedding. All the pictures of their wedding had been developed and Draco had thanked Colin for his wonderful work. The boy hadn’t messed up one picture. And trusting Draco, that meant a lot seeing how picture crazy he had been for the wedding.
The day of their wedding had been remembered by everyone. It was beautiful and it was obvious how much work was put into it by Draco. It was really the perfect wedding and would always be remembered.
