Notes: As I was skimming rather quickly through a friend of a friend of a friend\'s comments on LiveJournal, I saw two words (see title) in the middle of a sentence that I didn\'t bother to read fully, and this is what came of it.

Summary: Harry finds himself distracted and can\'t tear his eyes away from a beauty that makes his mind wander to places other than realizing where it should be. Though it does, just belatedly, and maybe with a little help.

There was a loose thread that kept getting caught around Harry\'s wand when he pulled it out of his sleeve, and he wasn\'t quite watching where he was going. It was the second last class of the day, and Ron and Hermione were ahead of him, all on their way to Herbology with the Hufflepuffs. Harry had been so preoccupied that he hadn\'t heard his friend\'s footsteps come to a halt, and he walked straight into Ron\'s back. \"Ow, Harry!\" Ron stage whispered, bringing a hand up to rub the back of his neck where Harry\'s wand had poked him. \"Would you look at this? What do you think they\'re here for?\"

Hermione just shook her head in confusion at the strange crowd gathered in the Great Hall. Harry looked up between his friend\'s and into the Hall, seeing a large group of girls that certainly didn\'t go to Hogwarts. Most of them were tall and rather on the chunky side (and some even down right ugly), not that Harry had anything against big girls (or ugly girls). It was just that it was hard to look away, and even harder to wonder why they were there to begin with. He\'d just started to squint slightly, trying to focus on a smaller group farther in the room when he felt a tug at his shoulder.

\"Come on, Harry,\" Hermione said, her and Ron already having passed the doors to the Hall and were carrying on their way. \"We\'ll be late if we don\'t go now.\" Harry looked to her when she spoke, and nodded his head. He secured the strap of his bag over his shoulder and she seemed to be appeased, since she turned and started down the corridor with Ron. Harry took one last look into the room at the curious girls before he passed the door way and carried on as well.

That\'s what he\'d planned, at least. He\'d only managed half a step before something, or more accurately, someone, had caught his eye. Harry stood just outside the door, slightly hidden from view so as not to appear to be gawking, even if that\'s precisely what he was doing. He tried looking back to the group he\'d seen a particular girl in, but he couldn\'t identify the separate gathering. It was that, or the girl had moved, thus proving that Harry had only been staring at her. She\'d had the palest skin, and longest legs disappearing up under her skirt. If Harry had been paying attention to that sort of detail at the moment, he might have realized it was a Hogwarts\' uniform she was wearing.

He knew he\'d never seen her before, but she looked so familiar, and he found himself letting his eyes furiously scan the mingling crowd for her again. He hadn\'t seen much of her face, but it was just as fair as her legs, he knew, and framed by dark waves. There were too many girls to look through, and Harry found his eyes looking at a blur before he blinked them again, and began taking a more general look at the groups. He did notice now that they were all wearing the school\'s regulatory uniforms, though some without cloaks and some not, giving slight relief to the monotony.

There was something off about them. He\'d never seen most of them before, at least not that he really recognized, but a lot of them seemed strangely familiar. Harryked ked quickly to tar sar side of the Hall, still from where he lingered at the door, though if anyone had deemed to look his way, they would have seen his head peaking around the corner. That would have been quite embarrassing, but perhaps not as much as he would have thought, considering even when someone tugged on his shoulder again that he didn\'t turn around and blush. \"Yeah, I\'m coming. Just a sec,\" he said, quietly, so as not to yell it out into the Hall.

He had lost where he was looking, thinking he\'d seen the dark hair, but when his eyes caught up with her again, it wasn\'t right. That one was too filled out, too short of hair, and not right at all. There was another tug at his shoulder, but this time, even if he was about to turn, a hand took a firm hold and pushed until his back hit the corner of the door frame, and flipped him around it. Harry closed his eyes on the impact, and didn\'t open them until he felt his back against the wall. He opened them and was about to tell whoever it was off (though perhaps not if it was Snape) but he was stilled, mouth half open.

The girl he\'d been looking at was standing right in front of him. She was taller than him, and he had to look up to her face, though not that he minded staring at the top of her bare chest where a small green gem sat in a necklace there. She must hslipslipped out the door while Harry had been scanning the other side of the crowd for her. He looked to her light eyes briefly, not able to make himself stop there. He took in the long black hair, with slight waves, making it cascade beautifully down half of her back, he presumed, since it fell down over the front of her shoulders to near the bottom of her breasts.

She looked eerily familiar to him, Harry thought; sickly enough, that she reminded him of Bellatrix Lestrange, of all people. The female Death Eater did still show signs of former beauty, even through the wear she\'d sustained in Azkaban. He hadn\'t even got past that thought before he belatedly realized the girl in front of him was leaning towards him, and his slack jaw. Harry couldn\'t do anything but shudder at the feel of her cool lips pressing against his. He could even feel the slickness of her lipstick on his mouth, and it tasted faintly of cherries when his tongue darted up to instinctively taste it.

He stood a bit straighter from his slump against the wall, and moaned into her mouth when he felt her press up against him, chest to chest. Harry felt her smile before she slipped her tongue between their lips to touch his own, sharing the tastes mingling there. His eye lids fluttered at the sensation of it, and he had the strangest feeling that her eyes were still open, watching him as she flicked her tongue into his mouth. She started closing her mouth, pulling his lips shut between her own, and backing off.

Harry leaned forward, not wanting to lose contact, and she tilted her head to meet him again, licking over his bottom lip before she closed her teeth over it. She pulled on it gently when Harry pressed his forward, but before he could latch onto her skin as well, she let go, licking into Harry\'s mouth, and sliding her tongue under his. Her lips weren\'t too full, but just thick enough that they were so firm and teasing against Harry\'s. Harry let go this time, and breathed out heavily, eyes still closed. She wasn\'t too keen on stoppinst yst yet, and her lips never left his skin as she trailed from the corner of his lips to his jaw.

He felt a hand snake up his chest, and cool fingers walked up the other side of his neck. He inhaled sharply, and let it out slowly as her lips met the corner of his again. Harry turned his head to meet her lips, eagerly welcoming them again, and he felt her other hand slip into his. It made him realize he\'d simply been standing there with his arms just hanging at his sides. He lifted one to touch her shoulder, sliding his fingers between strands of her silky hair, while the other held hers. Her lips slipped wetly across his mouth, and she let her tongue caress his one more time before she pulled it back slowly.

Harry shivered when he felt her fingers drift up to his cheek, and his mouth was pliant as she pulled away softly, with one last lingering kiss to his lips. Her hand on his face began to pull away just like her lips, and her warm body followed. Harry\'s head started to spin with the excitement finally reaching his brain instead of caught up with him simply reacting to her touches, and he opened his eyes. She looked back, an amused glint to her eyes, and he really knew then she had been watching him the entire time.

He watched her, steeling himself, knowing that she was about to walk away from him, back into the Hall, and he\'d probably never see her again. He had no idea what made her come out to him, or even how she knew he was there, but he wasn\'t going to be disappointed about it. He might be dead in a year\'s time, or he may live to be a thousand, but he wasn\'t going to refuse kisses from beautiful, alluring women in between time. He barely saw the slight roll of her eyes to herself, almost like she was thinking, \'what the hell, one more,\' before leaning in and giving him another short kiss, this time with a little bite to his lip.

Harry closed his eyes again, wanting to preserve this memory in his mind forever, and absently wishing he could have a wizarding picture of this (though with his luck, Colin was probably on the other side of the school at the moment). He sighed, and let his hand be pulled up before she let go, and then he heard a chuckle. It was a very faar car chuckle, which turned into a slow drawl, as his hand was let go, saying, \"Only you, Potter.\"

Harry\'s eyes snapped open to watch the \'girl\' walk back into the Great Hall. He saw her head shake, moving the long hair with the movement, so much like her aunt\'s, really. Harry let a smile come to his lips, still wet from the kisses, and he hoped there wasn\'t too much color left on his face (it might be hard to explain that one to his friends). He frowned, though, when he closed his hand over something in it, something he hadn\'t even realized was there.

She\'d pressed a green and silver ribbon into his palm, leaving him holding it as she walked back to her group. He looked at it curiously as he turned it over, and read the words written on it in Old English lettering: Annual Drag Contest, First Place. It wouldn\'t have been anything less, he knew; and he should have guessed. Shaking his head, still with a smile on his face, Harry couldn\'t help the blush that crept up his cheeks. He began down the corridor, making his way towards the starts. He was without a doubt late for class, but this had definitely been worth how many ever points Professor Sprout would deduct for being late, though he wasn\'t sure he could promise it\'d never happen again.

The End
