Chapter 1: Marriage Law
MARRIAGE

Chapter 1: Marriage Law (In progress)
Cornelius Fudge, the Minister of Magic, looked at the report very carefully, not liking what he read at all. \"You are sure of this?\" Fudge asked, hoping his consultant wasn\'t sure. But Trevor Dansby was almost always reliable.
\"I\'m afraid it is. Unless something is done, the wizarding community...at least the British community, will die out in a century,\" Dansby said gravely. Fudge cursed himself. Blast those purebloods and his views towards muggleborns. It appeared that the arrogance has finally caught up with them and bit them in the butt....especially since many witches and wizards were killed during the war with Voldemort.
\"Can anything be done?\" Fudge asked hopefully. Since Lucius Malfoy had proven to be a Death Eater, Dansby had emerged as a reliable advisor and usually came up with excellent solutions. Fudge expected no less from him this time.
But it seemed Dansby was more reluctant to speak this time. \"Well...there is a solution, but it\'s not going to be popular...on either side,\" Dansby began.
Fudge frowned. \"What do you mean?\" he asked. Dansby leaned over and whispered something in his ear. \"You\'re right that it won\'t be popular. But it seems that we have no choice,\" Fudge groaned. He got up out of his chair and went to his secretary\'s desk. \"Alena, summon the department heads for a meeting. Tell them that it is time to draft a new law.\" The secretary nodded and pressed a button and a flock of owls flew in. She wrote a quick memo, used a copying spell and had the owls deliver each memo to the department heads.
An hour later, the various heads of the department met in the meeting hall. After making sure everybody was present, Fudge cleared this throat and asked for silence. \"If you are aware or not, the British wizarding community and perhaps the entire wizarding world is on the verge of a great crisis. The deputy Minister, Trevor Dansby will report on the specs ocs of the situation,\" Fudge said, allowing his deputy to step up to the podium.
\"Ladies and gentlemen, we are facing a grave crisis. Due to our own arrogance and the war, we are on the verge of extinction. We are in danger of future generations being no more magical than muggles and squibs. We must act immediately,\" Dansby urged everybody.
\"What do we need to do?\" one of the wizards asked, standing up.
