Chapter 1 – A New Power at Hogwarts
“I do not see why I must go to London just to take that damn
train back here!” exclaimed Xavier to his morose father.
“You are going to Kingscross Station so that you may
actually form some relationships with you fellow students,” stated Severus
dryly, “besides, I must go to babysit those infernal students of mine to ensure
they all make it to the castle, especially Draco and Potter.”
This argument had been continuing since breakfast at 8am and
it was now 9:30, needless to say, the dark professor was about to strangle his
future student and only son if he wouldn’t SHUT UP.
“I should have never sent him to that damn school in the
first place,” Snape mumbled.
He thought training with the dark wizards and witches of
Darmstrung would be useful in the current turbulent times and would make his
diminutive son stronger. That it did, but he also returned an obstinate little
brat who thought he could get away with anything.
Noticing that his father was at his breaking point and was
probably considering throttling him, Xavier relented. “Fine, but you cannot
make me socialize with the weak little prats!” the small boy let out before
stomping into his room and slamming the door.
He wasn’t really angry; actually the thought of seeing Draco again had
him so giddy he was about to burst, but he would let his father see that!style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> It had been five years since he had seen his
“godbrother” and was anxious to see how much he had changed and how much they
still had in common. To Xavier, Draco
was one of the most beautiful creatures on the Earth and he wanted to be near
him again as puberty changed the way he looked at his boyhood mate.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> He went about packing his belongings as he
would have to move into one of the four house dormitories after being sorted,
and quietly pondered how much Draco would have developed over the years.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> His development had beenappoappointing to
say the least. He stood all of 5’6”
tall and weighed a mere 115 lbs; he was not necessarily skinny, just very sinewy.
The once messy raven hair now hung low through his shoulder blades and had with
the onset of puberty gained a silver streak starting over his right eye.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> The only two physical traits he inherited
from his father was his piercing black eyes and his almost frightening
scowl. The boy enjoyed that scowl,
being so much smaller than the other boys at school that fearsome look kept the
more physical entanglements away.
After a half hour of leisurely packing the dark boy was finished and
brought his possessions to the room adjacent to the entrance hall awaiting
their placement in his new home.
Severus walked behind his son and after relieving themselves of the
baggage went outside to portkey to Platform 9 ¾.
Arriving at Kingcross Station, Xavier sought out his boyhood
friend. ‘He should look close to what I
remember, at least his angelic hair,’ he thought.yes\"> When his search was complete without success he scanned the
platform for others he could chat with or torture, he didn’t really care
which. The young wizards eyes laid on
the huge patch of red hair moving in a bunch towards the Hogwarts Express, and
also noticed the presence of a short girl with bushy brown hair who seemed to
be instructing all the red headed boys and one raven haired boy what to do.s=\"m=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> ‘The red heads must be the Weasleys,’ he
thought, ‘but who is she to be ordering everyone about and who is the tall
black haired boy, he’s kind of cute,’ with that he snorted to himself.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> With curiosity gaining the better part of
his judgment he approached the group to introduce himself and hopefully get
better acquainted with “tall dark and handsome.”yes\"> When the boy arrived he finally recognized who his short-lived
crush was, none other than Potter!
Before he could berate the prince of Gryffindor his attention was
brought to a very tall, very muscular red headed beauty.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> The strong spoken powerful young wizard was
struck speechless at the mere sight of him, he had to get to know him, HE HAD
TO! When the pushy girl looked over at
him, she immediately smiled and stuck out her hand to greet the stunned boy.
“Hello, are new to Hogwarts this year?” she questioned.
He did not hear the question in his weakened state of mind
and was brought back to earth with the sniggering of the boys near him. “Oh,
what was that again?” he responded shaking his head a little and swaying his
silky hair at the same time.
“I asked if you are new, are you a first year?” she asked
again.
Still taken aback by the stunning red head he replied, “No,
I’m a fifth year, I spent my first four years at Darmstrung.”
“Oh, sorry, your just so small,” she said apologetically.
“Gee, thanks for pointing that out!” he returned.
“It’s not like it’s a bad thing,” the tall gorgeous red head
interjected making the smaller boy blush.
“And you are? I have yet to get your names,” Xavier happily
replied to his new obsession, “I’m Xavier Snape.” And followed by sticking out
his hand.
“Snape, as in Professor Snape, Snape?” the boy replied.
“Well that sounded stupid,” another red head spoke,
presumably the cute boy’s older brother and one of the pair of twins. “I’m
Fred, this is George, the witty one is Ron, our little sister over there is
Ginny, the nosy and pushy one here is Hermione, and he, well you probably know
who he is,” Fred said pointing to Harry. Hermione scoffed at his remark, Ron
blushed terribly, and Harry scowled at Fred.
“Hello, obviously I can’t be introduced to people correctly
so I’m Harry Potter, nice to meet you,” as the boy changed his expression.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> He should have waited for the response
before taking a different outlook when Xavier shot back,
“Potter, Prince Potter of Gryffindor, please excuse me if I
don’t bow your fame does not drive me to such lengths.”
Harry’s scowl returned as quickly as it was lifted and he
started balling up his fists. At thary mry moment Severus walked up to the
group of teens and put a hand on his sons shoulder.
“Weasleys, Granger, Potter,” the elder Snape spat out the
last name, “I see you have met my son, however I must request his company
elsewhere.” With that the two Snapes made their way over to the Malfoys and
Zabinis. When Xavier laid eyes on Draco
he was awestruck, not the same as with Ron, but because of how much his
godbrother had changed. He was, in a
word, a masterpiece. The once small boy
with short slicked back silver blond hair, was now a tall, lithe, chiseled teen
with long silken silver blond hair pulled back in a pony tail, and the most
piercing steel eyes looking adoringly at him. ‘Wait a second,’ the small boy
thought, ‘he’s looking like that at me!’ As soon as the thought made it through
his head he saw the blond god walk swiftly in his direction and encompass him
in his strong arms.
“Xavier, you are so beautiful, I have missed you so much,”
Draco whispered in his ear. The only
thing the diminutive boy could do was to melt into the larger boy and let fall
a single tear. He did not cry, ever,
but the meeting was so overwhelming he could not control his physiology.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> “Oh, I have missed this and you so much,”
Xavier replied into the other boy’s ear, making the blond shiver with the touch
of his breath.
After being brought out of their own personal world by a
pair of coughs from both Severus and Lucious, the boys parted and looked
uncomfortably at each other both realizing how that must have looked to the
outside world. This did not stop the
sideward glances at each other while the adults were talking, however.style=\"msocerucerun: yes\"> The activity was being closely regarded by
the other teen in the group, Blaise Zabini.
Blaise stood quietly and watched the two godbrothers hide their interest
for each other, but the cover up did not fool him, he saw what he wanted and
Draco would have to step aside if he wanted to stay whole.
It was finally time to board the train and say goodbye to
the parents until holiday break, Draco
shook his father’s hand and received in his ear the yearly threat to beat
Potter or face the consequences. He
then went to his mother Narcissa and gave her a kiss on the cheek, she smiled
weakly and turned for the waiting limousine.
The Zabinis said their goodbyesn mon more formally, if possible, than
the Malfoys and the children with Professor Snape entered the train.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> Once on the train and in their compartment
the boys stowed their belongings when the rest of the Slytherin royalty joined
them. The group brought Pansy
Parkinson, a nim-witted blond with no remarkable beauty or spark, Millicent
Bulstrode, a horse faced beast of a girl with broad sholders and a scowl that
said she mebusibusiness, Vincent Crabbe and Gregory Goyle, tow mountains of
teen that could form a great wall, if they could figure out how to spell
‘wall.’ The crowd seemed fine, but
Xavier wondered why Draco would surround himself with such lack of beauty and
stupidity. The only exception to this
rule seemed to be Blaise, who was average height, nicely built, wiong ong black
hair to his buttocks, and deep pools of blue eyes that could entrance the
soul. He also seemed incredibly
intelligent, and terribly sneaky and underhanded.
Shortly after the introductions, Draco and Blaise left the
compartment to complete their Prefect duties, which left Xavier alone to the
riff-raff. Pansy immediately pounced on
the small boy and started asking him inane questions about Draco before school,
about his father, and whether or not he had a girlfriend.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> He answered the last question in the
negative, which put Pansy on the prowl.
“So do you have a boyfriend?” she asked, wanting to gauge
her ability to claim the gorgeous short boy for herself.
“No,” he stated dryly, not giving any other inclination of
his sexuality. It was advantageous to withhold information, especially of the
personal nature.
“Well then are you straight, gay, bi, what?” she inquired
further.
Not wanting to divulge this information, he quickly stood up
faced Pansy and stated sternly, “I have known you for all of thirty minutes, I
hardly think my sexual preference is a prudent topic of this discussion and
would considered rude in most civilized conversation.”style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> With that said he turned, squeezed his way
through Crabbe and Goyle, and left the compartment.yes\"> He did not care how he sounded, he wasn’t about to say something
like that to such a nasty person.
Wondering the train, Xavier found his newly discovered crush
patrolling the car and walked up to him to properly introduce himself.
“Hi, uh, Ron, is it? We didn’t really get a proper
introduction earlier and would like to remedy that,” he said quietly and he
held out his hand. Ron looked at the
smaller boy for a second and broke a quick smile and then changed it
immediately to a scowl.
“Do you think I want to get to know you after what you said
to Harry, you little git! Why don’t you go back to your Slytherin friends
before I knock you on your scrawny little ass!” Ron said through gritted
teeth.
The smaller boy looked shocked for a split second before his
defense mechanisms kicked in and he retorted, “I guess my father was right, the
Weasleys are bunch of weak wizards who kiss Potter’s ao tho they can ride the
on curtails of his ability! See ya carrot top.”
tackled him from behind. The slight boy
was not match for the much larger red head and in the initial foray he lost his
wand. Ron flipped the boy over and
began to punch him in the face, stomach, and chest.yes\"> He only stopped when he heard someone yell at him.
“What the fuck are you do Weasel?” Draco screamed, took out
his wand and hollered “Rictusemptra” This caused the Weasley boy to be thrown
off the smaller well-beaten boy. Potter
after hearing the ruckus came out of his nearby compartment and seeing Ron on
the floor unconscious with Malfoy standing there wand in hand jumped the lithe
blond and began to pummel the crap out the boy.yes\"> The commotion caused onlookers to come from everywhere including
Professors Snape and McGonagal, but before the teachers could react the small
raven-haired boy with the silver streak stood up blood still leaking from
wounds on his face screamed,
“GET OFF HIM!!!!!!!” and thrust his hands forward.
The next thing anyone heard besides the rumble of the train
on the tracks was the wet crack of Harry Potter’s skull hitting the wall after
his body was thrown fifteen feet off of Xavier’s beloved godbrother.
At the sight of what had happened the professors gaped in
awe, but it was nothing like expressions and actions of the students as they
stepped backwards in fear of the small boy standing bloodied with tears pouring
down his face.
A/N So what did you think? Should there be more? Did it
suck? Any suggestions? I know I didn’t do a lot with the characters so far, but
this is just the beginning of a long story with lots of characters doing their
thing. Things will move a little
quicker once the characters are introduced and the back-story is set.
