A Father's Revenge
This is my first Harry Potter story... reviews and flames welcome!
Prologue
Draco\'s eyes blazed at the old man sitting in front of him. \"So we have a deal then?\" He asked, his arms juggling the small infant in his arms. \"I\'ll be your spy... and Granger will be my revenge.\"
Dumbledore\'s eyes twinkled. \"As I have said, young Malfoy, if Miss Granger is willing...\"
\"I don\'t care if she\'s willing!\" Draco bellowed, the bundle is his arms jumping at the harshness of his words. A shrill cry filled the room, and Draco moved instantly to soothe the crying child. \"Shh.. shh.. Daddy\'s here... it\'s okay, Blaise...\" Draco whispered softly, the child softly wimpered, then ceased its crying. Draco held the child close to his chest and ran a soft hand against her back. \"Sweet girl..\" he whispered.
Dumbledore watched the interaction between father and daughter with a sad sort of longing. \"Draco, I\'m very sorry for what you lost..\"
\"I don\'t want to hear it..\" Draco said softly, kissing his daughter\'s cheek. \"I\'m not here for your sympathy Dumbledore. I\'m here to strike a bargain.\" He sank tiredly in the chair. \"Listen, it\'s simple... I\'ll be your spy and bring down Voldemort.. in exchange for my revenge against Lucuis.. revenge for Blaise...\"
Dumbledore nodded. \"I\'ll owl Miss Granger and ask floo over.\"
For the first time in five months, Draco smiled. \"Thank you, Albus... I\'m going to take Blaise to Madam Pomfrey... it would be easier to explain without her here.\"
As Draco turned to leave, Albus smiled.
This might just be the best thing that ever happened to Mister Malfoy and Miss Granger.
