Shy, With So Much To Hide
1. –Infatuation-
It was Saturday morning. After a breakfast of the most delicious cheese toast and orange juice in the great hall with James, Remus and Peter, Sirius was lying on the black leather couch in the common room with his hands positioned behind his head, trying to relax since he hadn’t had much sleep last night as it had been a full moon and he had had to be a faithful friend and be there for Remus, or Moony as he called his dear friend.
James or Prongs as he called his other best mate must be tired as well. Though he was lucky enough to have a loving girlfriend who would give him a relaxing neck massage if he asked her to.
It amazed Sirius how his best friend had changed over the past few months. James used to be one of the biggest playboys of the school and girls used to flock to him, but he managed to find a nice, down to earth girl who didn’t faint if she heard that James Potter was nearby like many girls in this school.
Though he, Sirius, still one of the biggest playboys of the school, hadn’t managed to get himself the right girl, the one he wanted to spend the rest of his life with, the one he loved and never could stop thinking about. Well, yeah he’d found her but the problem was she was too shy and innocent that he thought he would never be able to get hold of her.
Sirius took a deep breath and closed his eyes. Yet he couldn’t relax because every time he closed his eyes a picture would come in to his mind of a sweet, innocent girl with long curly black hair and deep azure sparkling eyes.
Sirius wondered why he never noticed her like this before this term. As it was now his sixth year at Hogwarts and she had been here since 1st year just like Lilly Evans who was with James now.
Sirius didn’t know what but there was something about her that was mysterious, he had never seen her go out with any guy because she was shy and many guys thought she was snobby because she didn’t talk much and therefore didn’t ask her out. The only guys that knew how sweet and loving was James, Remus, Peter and himself.
She didn’t seem to be interested in an the the guys. Nevertheless, Sirius could tell that she had secrets that she wanted to hide from the rest of the world, secrets buried deep inside her soul that nobody would ever find out, though if she had been through any sadness in her past, she was doing a great acting job of hiding it all and pretending to be extremely cheerful.
Why did he feel so crazy about her? Well, ever since she had spent her summer holidays in Spain with Lily Evans and her family and coming back with a golden tan, looking like a million dollars every guy in the whole damn school wanted to ask her out and it was getting irritating. However, all she ever did was turn them down. His head was aching of thinking about her every minute of every day. It was starting to get frustrating too! He wanted her so much that it hurt.
Sirius finally got up from the comfortable leather couch thinking to himself, I must do something about this or else I’m going to go mad! But she’ll never go out with me! Maybe I should try and find her, get a bit flirty with her? Again? Would that ever work? With that thought in his mind, he went in search for Tannisha Queela, the girl of his dreams.
He knew that Tannisha would probably be hanging out with Lily Evans who was like her best friend in the whole universe. Those two were never apart. Since the day they met at the station about to get on the Hogwarts Express.
Lily Evans was to Tannisha Queewhatwhat every girl wanted for a best friend. Lilly was caring, kind, trustworthy, loyal, and was always there for her. Furthermore, James had told him that Lily thought the world of Tannisha and would kill anybody who hurt her.ody ody wanted to get in the bad books of Lily Evans who promised to make their life a living hell, if they did. Lily was a tough girl and didn’t take any shit from anybody. Whereas Tannisha, was the total opposite.
Lily could act as evil as a devil if she wanted to, but Tannisha was the direct opposite. She was always nice to everyone and never let anyone feel left out or sad, she always wanted to please everybody and hated for anyone to be unhappy. She was like an angel sent from heaven. Even if somebody pisses her off, she copes with it and doesn’t bat an eyelid, but if somebody hurt her, she would ignore them like they weren’t living. She could be the queen of ignoring people if she wanted to.
Sirius stepped outside and walked towards the lake which was bound to be the place Lily and Tannisha were hanging out at that time as it was saturady and many people went down to the lake to cool down.
This was because it was still summer weather even though it was autumn. Extremely and unbearably hot. People were even jumping into the lake with their clothes on, Sirius noticed as he came closer to the lake. He spotted Tannisha and Lily sitting under the huge willow tree right next to the bank of the lake. Tannisha was lying on her front on the grass with her feet in the air and was writing something on a parchment with one hand while the other hand held a textbook. Lily was sat there leaning against the tree reading a textbook. James was not there which was unbelievable because those two were hardly ever apart these days. But Sirius guessed that probably Lily wanted to spend some quality time with her best friend in the whole wide world and not make her feel lonely, because Tannisha could get quite depressed if she was left lonely for a while.
Suddenly a strong impulse came over him to run and dive headfirst into the lake, he didn’t know why he got this sudden impulse, maybe it was because he wanted to impress Tannisha, who was sitting up now laughing at something that Lily had said. God she looso sso striking when she laughed, Sirius thought, smiling to himself.
He was burning from the sun and he couldn’t stand it any longer. Sirius speeded up his pace towards the lake pulling his black tank top off with one arm and ran the final meters to the lake, throwing his top onto the grass he dived headfirst into the lake. When he came up, he shook his wet black hair and all the girls swimming around him squealed and jumped away and then looked in awe at his sexy 6-pac with water dripping from it.
No girl could say that Sirius wasn’t one of Hogwarts most good looking guys, and oh what a body he had, girls swooned over him. Girls would jump at the chance to be with him, but not Tannisha, that’s why he wanted her so much. Tannisha didn’t faint if Sirius came close to her and she would never sleep with him, hell, she wouldn’t even give him a kiss or go out with him. It was so exasperating.
Sirius started swimming laps around the lake. He wondered whether this would help him stop obsessing over Tannisha, but he found out at the end of his 6th lap around the lake, that no matter how hard he tried, he would never be able to get over his infatuation over her.
