Hermione let out a sigh as she looked at the scenery pass her by. She heard Harry and Ron talking about quidditch...again.

A thud was heard as Hermione slammed her head against the window as she thought \'Can\'t they talk about something else besides quidditch? Sure, it\'s fun, but they talk about it all the damn time!\'

\"Is something wrong Hermione?\" asked Ron.

Hermione let out an annoyed groan. \"Why would anything be wrong, Ron\"

\"Well...I was just wondering why you were hitting your head against the window, that\'s all\" said Ron.

\"No, nothing is wrong\" said Hermione

Both Harry and Ron exhanged a questioning look behind hermione\'s back. They both had agreed that she has been acting weird all summer. No, it wasn\'t the fact that she read \'Howgwarts a History\' 20 times this summer...considering that it was hermione, that habit was normal. It was the fact that she seemed to get annoyed easily and she snapped all the time. The first time she had started acting strangely Harry suggested that she probably had her period...but they both began to realize that there wasn\'t a woman on earth whose period lasted for two months. All through summer Hermione began to isolate herself from everyone more and more. She seldom laughed and she seemed to be staring off into space.

So they both tried to stop joking around and tried to talk to her, but she wouldn\'t open up. So they left her alone hoping that she had the time to come to terms with whatever has been bothering her. But they could see that she has changed...they couldn\'t say specifically what had changed about her, but they felt it.

Harry dismiseed Hermione\'s strange behavior and began a game of wizard\'s chess with Ron.

Soon the train reached Hogwart\'s and excited chatter could be heard as the student\'s began to change into their school robes.

Harry walked away to where Hermione was sitting and placed his chin on her shoulder as she continued to stare out the window. He felt her tense as he looked out towards Hogwarts, which was illuminated against the Forbidden Forest. \"It\'s good to be home\" said Harry.

Hermione shifted her eyes to look at her friend. She felt a guilty pang in her heart as she struggled as to whether she should tell him the truth. \'Should I tell him about my dreams? What would he think about me?\' She studied Harry as his face shone joy joy for the fact that he was finally home. She took in his messy black hair, his glasses, and finally her eyes landed on his scar...she wished she could tell him, but she was scared. Scared of what she saw in her dreams...moreover she was scared of the feelings she felt.

Hermione was shaken out of her thoughts as Ron shouted \"Oi, c\'mon you two!! We\'re going to be late for the sorting ceremony! Plus, I\'m bloody starving!\" Ron patted his stomach for emphasis on his last statement.

Harry laughed softly and the Golden Trio unknowingly set out on the most devastating year they would ever experience in their lives.
