Chapter 1: The Assault Warning: Non-graphic description of rape in this chapter. Other pairings are consensual.
The house was dark as the four figures made their way inside. Two of the figures smashed the windows, waking all three residents. Two of the vampires grabbed Mr. and Mrs. Granger and dragged them into the living room. When Hermione Granger heard the noise, she immedly lly locked the door and risked magically locking it, even though she was still underage and could not do magic outside of school. But that was not enough as the door was blasted off its hinges to reveal the demon face of Angelus and the snarl of Dolores Umbridge.
Umbridge came down the stairs to check the other hostages. The two other vampires had the Grangers bound and gagged tightly. They all could hear the screaming from Hermione\'s room. Umbridge smiled. Finally, she thought, that know it all girl is getting hers. She pictured Angelus brutalizing her both physically and sexually. But he was not to kill her, even though Angelus rarely tortured his enemies without killing them. Umbridge made it clear that Hermione was to remain alive. It was part of her master plan for revenge on her ultimate targets: Harry Potter and Albus Dumbledore.
About ten minutes later, Angelus dragged a beaten and bruised Hermione, also bound and gagged, down to the living room. Umbridge nodded to Angelus and the other two vampires and the gags were taken off. \"Ahhh...enjoy that experience, Miss Granger? Well, I\'d like to think of it as an opening number in a masterpiece of mine called Revenge. Now, if you wish for your parents to live, you will not report this in full details. You will blame this on Voldemort\'s Death Eaters, particularly Lucius Malfoy. And don\'t think you will escape when you return to Hogwarts because I will have an agent there who will continue to require your...let\'s say cooperation. In exchange, your parents will continue to live. Two former Aurors will take their place, with Polyjuice potion, at their jobs.\"
\"You bitch!\" Hermione shrieked, only to be silenced by a punch by Angelus in the face. Umbridge drew out her wand and pointed it at Hermione\'s throat.
\"You want to challenge me, girl? Then taste pain! CRUCIO!\" Umbridge shouted, subjecting Hermione to the Cruciatus Curse. Hermione shrieked in even more pain as the curse surged throughout her body.
\"And to think that I was the master of torture,\" Angelus grinned evilly. Umbridge laughed shrilly and ended the spell. Snapping her fingers, the two vampires hoisted her parents into another room and then Hermione was untied and allowed to get dressed again. Umbridge approached her menacingly.
\"I\'m sure Dumbledore will allow you to stay whereever this Order is. I don\'t care about the Order. Just make sure you shut your mouth while there and your parents will continue to live. Now, I believe you need to get a few hours of sleep so that whoever picks you up doesn\'t suspect a thing,\" Umbridge chuckled. She then cast a sleeping charm over Hermione and Angelus took her back upstairs to her bedroom where before he left, went another round on her.
As they left the Grangers\' house, another person was walking down the street. He witnessed the intruders slip out...or at least the vampire intruders. He was shocked: Angel was Angelus again? What had happened? He knew the first time Angel had become Angelus again and almost died as a result and the second time was a ruse to trick the Mayor and Faith. But what had happened? And wasn\'t Angel supposed to be in Los Angeles? Rupert Giles did not like this one bit. He took out his cellphone and dialed a number.
LOS ANGELES
Angel was bored. So far Angel Enterprises hadn\'t had any business for the past week. Either the demons were in hiding or they were doing a better job at covering up their tracks. Angel shook his head...they were probably in hiding and until they did something, he nor his associates could do anything about it. Suddenly the phone rang. He reached for it. \"Hello? This is Angel.\"
\"Angel! You\'re in Los Angeles?\" Giles asked.
\"Uh...yeah. I\'m sure Wesley told you that I have a business to run. You know ghostbusting and demon hunting,\" Angel said.
\"I see you\'ve inherited Buffy\'s sense of humor. She\'s been a bad influence on you.\" Then a pause as both Giles and Angel realized the unintentional irony of that statement because Buffy was the Vampire Slayer and she was the cause of his losing his soul a couple of years before Angel started his company.
