Staring up at the slowly darkening sky on the planet that he couldn't pronounce the name, Harry couldn't regret leaving with the Doctor to travel with him for a while. He was able to see so many things that he'd never thought he'd be able to with the threat of Voldemort looming over his head.
He did, however, regret starting a relationship with the amazing man. Because he eventually had to go back to the Wizarding world to fulfill his destiny with Voldemort and there was a fifty percent chance that he would die.
“There is also a fifty percent chance that you're going to destroy that miserable cretin. Now stop thinking about that and focus on the sky. This planet only has nightfall once a year and lasts for three days and I want you to see the beauty of it.”
Rolling his eyes, Harry leaned against the doctor. “This place is beautiful even without seeing the night.”
“Yes it is, but I want you to see this before I need to bring you back.” The Doctor said, sounding upset about that.
“You know as well as I do that I need to go back...even if we both don't want that to happen.”
“Of course I do. Now shush it's about to start.” He told Harry.
It only took a few seconds, the big orange sun sank below the horizon behind them and the sky became dark, covering the world in darkness. However that darkness lasted only seconds because after that, multiple tiny specs starting appearing only a few feet in the air. They mostly consisted of yellows and blues, but there were also pinks, greens, and other colors as well. The lights lit up, shining their lights onto the surface, lighting it up with the colors.
“Those are the planet's stars. They aren't hot or dangerous like Earth's stars or moon though. They're more like fair lights. The starlight lights up the planet's surface so there isn't any need for a moon.”
“You're right. It's beautiful.” Harry said, in awe of the magic of it all.
“There's a reason I brought you here before I brought you back to that world. You may have an obligation to help them, but you don't belong there anymore. You belong at my side, traveling from planet to planet, year to year...you deserve to have that freedom.”
“And if you still feel that way once I've finished off that old bat then I'll gladly walk away from that world and into yours...ours.”
“I don't want to send you back there as my lover.”
“Oh...” Harry said taking a deep breath. “Did you want to breakup until I came back then?”
“No that isn't what I meant. When you go back there I want you to go as my husband...if you'll agree to marry a wanderer like myself.” The doctor said, looking slightly nervous.
Smiling Harry leaned over and pressed a kiss to the Doctor's lips. “Of course I'll marry you, Doc. All you had to do was ask.”
Grinning, the Doctor pulled Harry towards him and they celebrated their engagement there under the starlight.
