Meetings and Betrayals part 2
A/N: My chapters keep cutting off in the middle! Can someone tell me why??
A/N 4-11-10: This story is on hold until I figure out where the plot is going cause right now I feel like its all over the place. Sorry!
‘I finally get away and now you want to send me back..’ Harry said. Even though his tone was dangerously low and quiet Tom could hear the hurt that seeped into his voice. The room started to shake and the floors cracked with Harry’s rising anger. Death Eaters looked around shocked that this boy could do so much damage to their lord’s chambers.
Tom ,who was getting angry that his love would dare defy him in front of his followers, finally had enough of Harry’s power display yelled ‘Enough!’ and slapped Harry across the face. The shaking abruptly stopped and Harry looked up at his lover shocked, Tom had never hit him before even when they argued! He knew the abuse that Harry suffered at the hands of his Uncle when he was a child.
Slowly backing away Harry locked eyes with Tom and let the betrayal that he felt show in his gaze. Tom finally realizing what he had done tried to reach for Harry but he stumbled backward when he reached some kind of magical barrier between them.
‘Don’t touch me’ Harry whispered quietly his voice cracking as the tears he was trying to hold back flowed freely down his face.
‘Harry…?’ Tom said trying desperately to get passed the barrier that separated him from his love.
A loud growl interrupted his efforts as Remus ran through the still kneeling Death Eaters to get to his godson. As he got closer he could feel the magic of the barrier accept him before he gathered Harry into his arm while shooting death glares over his shoulder at Tom.
‘Remus…' Harry whispered. 'Take me home' not daring to glance at his lover for he knew he would let more tears fall.
Remus nodded shooting one last glare over his shoulder before he apparated out of the manor with Harry cradled in his arms.
Tom stood in shock for a moment before he turned with his head bowed to Severus and said simply ‘Bring him back’ before striding out the door to his chambers. All of the Death Eaters took that as a sign that they should leave before apparating out as well leaving only a frustrated Potions Master behind.
Severus sighed pinching the bridge of his nose before apparating to the one place he knew Remus would take Harry in his time of distress.
-NUMBER 12 GRIMAULD PLACE
Harry lay in his room at his deceased godfather’s house sobbing quietly into his pillow for what seemed like the 5th time that week. He knew that Tom would sometimes get angry with him but never to the extent where he would get physical. He felt betrayed in the worst of ways the trust that he placed in his lover all but shattered by that one simple act. Tom knew the extent of his physical abuse as a child because of the mind bond that they shared, which was quieter than it usually was because of his feelings of betrayal towards his lover.
A knock at the door shook him from his musings as Remus poked his head through the door to check on his godson. Seeing Harry in the same position he left him in when he laid him down he sighed taking a seat at the edge of the bed and started stroking Harry’s hair. Feeling Harry relax he soon realized that Harry had fallen asleep under him ministrations.
Remus sighed again before leaving the room for the last time that night before making his way downstairs to where Severus waited.
-DOWNSTAIRS-
Severus took a sip of his Firewhisky letting the warmth the drink brought him spread through his body and slightly relax his tense muscles.
He heard Remus come into the room so he set his drink down and opened his arms for his lover to sit in his lap.
Remus snuggled into the warm body of his lover before he looked up and him and asked ‘What are we going to do?’. It was a simple question but one that fit into many of the situations in their lived
Severus looked down into the amber eyes of his lover, so confused that he couldn’t help but to think the look as adorable and said ‘There is nothing we can do love except wait for morning’
Remus nodded silently before closing his eyes to get some sleep knowing that he would need it for the coming days.
