This should be a fun chapter! I mean with this kind of title, it should be fun, right?



EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES - chapter 9

When double potions class arrived Hermione was so happy to actually be teaching her peers. They wouldn’t know it was her though. Only Snape would know, and maybe Harry and Draco, if they noticed any differences. Hopefully not.

Hermione pulled out her wand and had the black board flip once again to reveal all the information the class would need. “I suggest you get started soon so we can test your potions at the end of class.” Hermione paused and looked at Neville, like Snape would, and went on, ”This time I’ve prepared a charm to lock in any explosions. Don’t mess up my class.”

Severus looked at Hermione and sent her his thoughts, ‘Nice, Miss Granger, nice. Scare Longbottom and the boys like me and you’re on your way.’

Hermione just stared at him and turned around. “Hermione, get started or you wont get finished.” she said, and drew attention to Snape.

‘How’s that, Professor?’

‘You want a game? Let’s get the other two in on it. We’ll make a bet.” Severus replied to her question, he raised an eyebrow when Hermione answered back.

’Great. I would love to win again.’

‘Too much time down here for you Hermione can make you one of us.’

Hermione just laughed out loud and had everyone look at her like she was crazy. She just let the laugh quiet everyone, without explaining.

At the end of class, everyone actually finished without a coincidence and were able to test their potions, which most actually worked. The poor students who had made theirs wrong were sent to Madam Pomfrey. Then everyone was dismissed, except the three. “Mr. Potter, Mr. Malfoy, and Miss Granger, stay where you are I need a word.”

Harry and Draco shared a frightened look and Snape just stared blankly at them all.

“Me and Snape want to play a game. You boys in?” Hermione said.

The boys looked between Hermione and Snape, “Why didn’t you change this morning?”

“What kind of game? What’s on the line?”

“Well, 10 galleons for the winner and a dinner for four, bought by the loser. The two Slytherins by themselves versus the two Gryffindors by themselves. How about it? Everyone puts in 5 galleons and whoever can get the others to not do a dare will win points. So someone will make a dare and we’ll all do it and get points, the person who does the most dares and has the most points will win. The one with the least points will have to buy everyone else dinner, it doesn't have to be expensive either,” Hermione explained.

“Can we make dares to certain people or does it have to be to everyone?” Draco asked, looking mischievous.

“If you can come up with four different, but equal dares, I don’t think that would be a problem.” Severus answered. “Any other questions? Speak now or forever hold your peace.”

“Hold on, Professor. I think we should give everyone the passwords we have. Something to make it interesting. Only passwords to our doors and wardrobes, maybe?” Harry said, coming out of his silence.

“Or how about we all have the same password until we deem the winner.” Draco paused, catching something, “When is this game going to be over? Also can we occasionally work with one other person?”

“Probably when we find a cure for each of us. We can work with one person, but not two consecutive dares and not always the same person.” Hermione exclaimed. “We just need bases, like in tag. The potions room is a safe base when we're working on the potion and the Great Hall is a safe base, you can only enter with the prank already played, so if you rig the doors for something, that’s okay. Other wise everything else is fair game. Any objections?”

“No, but what are our passwords going to be changed to?” Harry inquired, bouncing on his feet.

Draco thought real fast and came up with, “Severus Snape scolds his students on Sundays. How about that?”

Every looked at him and all but Snape immediately agreed. “Can’t you have someone else's name in there?”

“Don’t whine, Professor. It’s fun and suiting for our game. Our game will officially start when everyone of us has changed our passwords and signed this,” here Hermione had a parchment appear from thin air, “To ensure we have done everything we have said we’d do.” Hermione had everything they said appear on the parchment, which grew longer as more words were put on there. “Now, if everyone agrees right now, then we can sign it, then when we have changed all of our passwords we’ll sign it again. Everyone has to sign twice for the game to begin.

“Thought of everything didn’t you, Hermione?” Harry asked.

“Hopefully.” She said, as she signed the parchment with a permanent pen. “This pen can’t be removed in any way, even magically. Hope everyone is ready for the most dangerous adventure of our lifetime.”

“No one said anything about dangerous, Hermione.” Harry said stepping up to sign.

“Well, Potter when you have us four together, now, it’s bound to get dangerous at some point right?” Draco said as he signed after Harry.

“Guess so. Snape can't take points off can he? It wouldn’t be fair.”

“I’ve already added that.” Hermione pointed to the first line on the paper. “No one, meaning us four, can take points off from another one of us.”

“That’s no fair either, That takes the fun out of it.” Draco said with him and Snape looking a bit sour now.

“Well, It would be no fair any ways, because Harry can’t take points from anyone. He doesn’t have the authority.” Hermione explained. “Now that we have all four of our signatures lets go on to bed. We’ll all meet here after dinner, if that’s okay with Professor”

“It’s fine. Everyone needs to go by first name basis now. Only if in the presence of someone outside of this group, are we to use our usual names for each other. Okay?” Severus stated.

Everyone agreed. Then they went to dinner, Hermione at the Head table, Snape with Harry at the Gryffindor table, and Draco with the Slytherins.
