Confrontation

Lily returned the kiss, her hand squeezing his. Her body was shaking slightly and she hoped that James would not pick up on it. This moment was perfect, and she wondered why this whole time she had rejected him.

James could feel her body shaking out of nervousness. He knew she had only had a few boyfriends, and he had a bit more experience in ‘relationships’. Very slowly, James let go of her hand, and put both arms around her side, wanting to hold her, and never let go.

Lily moved willingly towards him, as she coached herself not to be so nervous. Gently, she nipped at his bottom lip, the furthest she had ever gone with a guy was making out, but she was pretty good at it.

He was surprised at her bravery, but did not contest it. James continued this teasing for a while before he licked her bottom lip for entrance.

She obliged, and opened her mouth for him. Her stomach was still tight but she was starting to relax a bit. After she had completely given in to him, and her body relaxed, Lily heard voices, and they were pretty close.

James pulled back from the kiss and looked over the edge. The team was heading out on the field. Quickly he checked his watch it was two thirty.

“Damn,” he said putting his arm down to look at her. “I loss track of time, it’s already two thirty,” James said with a sigh. Most of the team came out to mess around before practice to get rid of some excess energy.

Lily had to admit she was a bit disappointed, but she could not hold it against him. “Alright,” she said with a smile. “So I will see you...around six?”

“Of course.“ James said kissing her again lightly, now that he was able to, he did not want to stop.

She nodded in agreement, and they headed down the stand hand in hand once at the bottom, they had to go in opposite directions.

“I’ll meet you in our common room,” Lily said with a smile, getting on her tip-toes kissing him lightly. Even if they were not dating, Lily felt as if they were, and was wondering when he was going to ask her, again.

“Wait, Lily,” James said as she turned to walk off.

“Yes?” She asked turning around to face him, pushing the loose hairs out of her face.

“Before I forget, and before anyone can ask you,” James said slyly, a playful smirk. He had debated whether to ask her to be his girlfriend, or just to the dance. He opted for the dance, because asking her here would be lame, and he wanted it to be memorable.

“Would you like to go to the Halloween dance with me?” He asked, feeling a small blush.

“I’d love to,” Lily said smiling over at him.

James quickly swept her up into another kiss, then said his goodbyes running to the locker rooms to change.

Severus knew that there was Quidditch practice today because the Slytherin captain had been complaining Gryffindor took their spot. He caught the time, and slipped back outside, knowing Lily would be coming in at any second.

Lily watched as the boys took to the sky as she entered the castle. She never was before, but she was nervous about him getting hurt. Sure it had happened before, but honestly, she did not really care before.

She turned her head back to the castle, and saw someone standing only a few feet away. Lily’s smile quickly faded, and she just glared at the boy.

“We need to talk,” Severus said flatly staring at her. He did not want to know what Lily and James were doing that made her smile like that, but he could not help but to be curious.

“We don’t need to talk about anything,” Lily said smartly, moving to walk off.

Severus moved in her way, and stood in front of her once again.

“Give me a chance to explain. I’ll show you I did not mean what I said. Let me take you to the dance, and show you I’m not like what they say,” he said honestly, though he was still highly aggravated about the past two days event.

“I told you before no,” Lily said moving off to the side once again, glad he did not follow. “Plus I am going with James.”

Severus stared at her, she had specifically told him she was only going with friends, that she was not going with a date, now she was going with James of all people.

“Your a lying bitch,” he spat at her, hatred showing in his eyes.

“Well your a bastard, so I guess it all evens out,” Lily said angrily before heading into the castle, without a second glance.
