part 9
The last days had finally passed and Dumbledore was taking them to Grimmauld Place for the holidays. Together they walked out of the grounds of Hogwarts with their trunks shrunken and stowed away safely. From outside the wards, they would apperate to an alley close by and walk to Sirius’ house. Harry could hardly wait but he was still nervous about telling the antimagus about his pregnancy.
He could hear the dog now, WHAT? YOU’RE KIDDING, YOU’VE GOT TO BE! HOW COULD YOU BE SO IRRESPONSIBLE, HARRY? and then when he told him that Snape was the father, SNAPE! I’LL KILL HIM! THE STUPID FUCKING GREASY GIT, I SHOULD’VE KILLED HIM YEARS AGO!! It would take Remus, Ron, Hermione, and Dumbledore to keep him from killing Snape, Harry was sure of it.
They were now standing on the doorstep of the old Black family house, Dumbledore knocked and sure enough, Sirius was the one to answer.
He looked overjoyed to see his Godson and his friends, “Harry, Ron, Hermione, How are you? Come in.” Harry knew that Sirius didn’t get many visitors and because of him being a wanted convict, he couldn’t go out in public. It had to be boring looking at the same old walls all the time and to not be able to step outside in the fresh air. He didn’t know how Sirius dealt with it, it had to be depressing.
Once inside, Harry gave Sirius a hug, “Hey! How are you?”
“Alright, come have some tea. Kretcher can take your things to your rooms and you can unpack later,” he said.
The trio took out their shrunken trunks and with some help from the Headmaster, they were full sized again. They left them by the stairs and followed the dark haired, middle aged wizard into the dining room, only to find that they weren’t the only ones there.
Sitting at the table talking to Remus Lupin was Severus Snape, a cup of tea in hand. When they took seats at the table, Harry was greeted by Remus.
“Harry, how are you?” The werewolf asked.
“Fine,” Harry replied politely, talking an offered cup of tea from his Godfather.
The Headmaster, who had yet to sit down, spoke up before anyone could say anything further, “Well boys, I‘m afraid that I must take a rain check on the tea. There are many things to be done back at Hogwarts, so I must be going. Harry, Ron, Hermione, I‘ll be back to get you at the end of the Holidays,” and with that said, the Headmaster was gone.

Later that same day found Harry and Ron in their room unpacking their belongings while Hermione sat on one of the beds, talking.
“I can‘t believe that Snape is staying here for the Holidays,” the bushy haired girl announced.
Ron turned to look at her and Harry, “I know, who does he think he is, intruding our break like this? Did you see how he kept avoiding you, Mate?”
Harry looked at his friend then went back to his unpacking, “Yeah.”
“Are you still going to tell him, Harry?” Hermione questioned.
“No, he doesn‘t seem to want to know.”
“You really should try again, he has no reason to avoid you here.”
“He‘ll find a way. Hell, maybe he already knows and just doesn‘t want it,” Harry said.
“How would he already know?” Ron spoke up.
“I don‘t know, it‘s Snape. What doesn‘t he know?”
“You‘ve got a point, though I don‘t think he does. If he knew, he‘d have already cornered you about it,” Hermione reasoned.
“We‘ve got all break and honestly Harry, If he doesn‘t know, I don‘t think it will take him long to figure it out.” Ron said pointing to his friends stomach.
Harry nodded, “You‘re right. Maybe I‘ll--”
“Dinner‘s ready,” Harry was cut off by the sound of Sirius’ voice coming from the bottom of the stairs.
“Be right down,” the trio called as they put what they were doing away and headed down the stairs.

Dinner consisted of mashed potatoes, noodles, and wizards pudding along with a few other sides. Nothing new, but it was good anyway. Harry wasn’t much in the mood to eat, the smell of the food alone made his stomach turn, but he ate a little to keep from arousing suspicion. Everyone ate quietly, apart from the causal question or comment every once in a while.
“So Harry, how‘s school been this year?” Remus spoke up, holding a fork full of potatoes in his hand.
“Alright, just the same old stuff,” only this year I’m pregnant, Harry thought, then decided not to add the last part.
“Nothing new?”
“Not really,” he said sending a glare toward Snape which no one seemed to catch.
They ate a little more in silence before Harry asked to be excused. He could feel the bile rising in his throat and didn’t wait around for an answer. He rushed upstairs to a bathroom and emptied the contents of his stomach in the toilet.
“I better go check on him,” Hermione said, placing her napkin on the polished table before her. She stood and made her way up the stairs.
She walked into the bathroom and saw her friend bent over the toilet, then went to retrieve a wet cloth. When Harry seemed done, she handed him the cloth and rubbed his back.
“How are you feeling?” she inquired.
Placing the cool rag on his forehead, Harry looked up at his friend, “I‘ve been better. I think that the potion Pomfery gave me has worn off,” he admitted.
“Maybe you should ask Snape for another one.”
“I think I‘m going to have to. When he‘s done with dinner,” He added as an after thought.
“Ok, until then, why don‘t you go lay down for a bit maybe that will make you feel better.”
Without saying anything more, Harry carefully arose to his feet and after cleaning up a bit, made his way to his room. He really didn’t want to ask Snape for anything but he didn’t see any other choice if he planned on staying all break.
