The Change

Again thank you for your kind words and reviews.

Great news, my dad was moved to the sixth floor and next week he gets his hip surgery done. I found this out when I went to see him today and he is looking much more stronger.

I will apologize to those readers who think the last chapter was a bit much. I tried to write Severus' dark side and how a muggle born witch captured by a Death Eater would act. For those who liked it, thanks for the positive words.

And in regards to the great news I got today, I captured my HP muses and decided to gift you all with the next chapter. This one will be longer than the others, I want to get some more information in than before.



Chapter 9


Hermione was the first to wake up out of the duo. She laid there with her eyes closed, enjoying the feeling of Severus' body spooned up against her. His hand was splayed above the gauze padding on her hip, his fingers ever so often, flexing gently. She closed her eyes and though how different this felt from when she would wake in Ron's arms.

Her thoughts went back to last night. When Cissy had told her about his fantasy, at first she was scared but knew after that kiss, she was ready for the next step. She was glad she took it and smiled, knowing now that nothing could come between her and Severus.


A soft kiss on the nape of her neck, brought her back to the present. "Morning, love.", he whispered.

"Good morning, Severus." He stretched and she felt his morning erection pressing into her. "A very good morning", she purred, pressing back against him.


Severus chuckled and gently rubbed her thigh. "Not this morning, my love. You haven't moved yet and you will realize just how sore you are. While I enjoyed last night, I can't help but feel some pain about it."

"Pain?"


He nodded and nuzzled the side of her neck. "You were still a virgin last night. I took you brutally. I wish you would have warned me."

Hermione sighed. "Had I done that Severus, you couldn't have fully enjoyed your fantasy. I enjoyed it well."


He rolled them over, kissing her gently and heard her gasp. "See, I told you. You played the part very well. You shall rest a few days before we do anything sexual again. I want your body as well as the brand to heal."


Hermione pouted. "But."

A loud thud on the window caused Severus to look up. "What the hell was that?"


Hermione sat up and giggled. "Stupid owl. I swear he is blind half the time."

She got out of bed and placed on the robe, Celeste had left for her. Hermione then opened the window, allowing the owl to hop in and drop the envelope. "It's Errol.", she said while picking up the letter.


"Errol? That bloody Weasley owl? How did he find this place?", Severus spat in anger.

Hermione looked at the writing on the envelope. "It's alright Severus, the letter is from Ginny. But why would she be writing me? She only does in response to my owls or when something is wrong with her. And knowing Gin, she spelled Errol to find me without a tracking charm."

She opened the letter as Severus got out of bed, putting on his own robe. "I will leave you to read it then. I'll go shower and meet you for breakfast." He gently kissed her cheek and walked out of the room, crossing the hall and shutting the door behind him.

Hermione waved her wand, checking the letter for curses. Upon seeing it was fine, she opened it up and sat down on the bed.


"Hermione,

The truth finally came out about what Ron and Harry did. Right now the entire family, myself include are angry. Why he felt the need to do as he did, I have no idea.

But I did see the rage in Professor Snape's eyes when he brought Ron back. It's a look that I never thought I would see in my life.

I want to meet with you and visit with you. I can understand why you felt the need to hide and now I know that your with Severus. Don't worry about Errol being traced, I cast the correct spells and even without that, no one will know he is missing.

You aren't the only one hiding secrets. Please see if I can come see you and if so, I will find a way.

Love, Ginny."

After a quick shower, she went downstairs to eat. Severus smiled as she walked into the room, wearing a short top and her jeans. He didn't question as she sat and served herself breakfast.


"Ginny wants to come visit me, she says she wants to talk. She also said something about hiding secrets."


Severus took another sip of coffee and looked at her. "That is your decision. If you want her to come or not. I have no ill will against the youngest Weasley. Though, I do not want her family here. Very few know the location of the manor and I would like for it to remain that way. If you wish it, I will send a port key to activate in two days time. By then you should be healed."


Hermione smiled and stood up, going over and kissing his cheek. "Thank you Severus."


He pulled her down to his lap and gently kissed her lips. "Anything for you, my love. I will be gone today, myself and Lucius have business to attend to. Celeste will be around. Write a letter to Ginny, explaining I will allow her visits but I expect precautions from her. Once she arrives by the port key, her magical signature will allow her entrance at any time. Besides, if she is keeping secrets, I would like to know them.", he remarked with a smirk.


"Severus, your one of a kind."

He kissed her gently again and helped her stand. "I should return by nightfall. If you get bored and wish for company, the floo in the study is directly linked to Malfoy Manor. As for an owl, Send my raven Night Dance. He will know where to go when you say the location. Just call for him. Until tonight."

Hermione wrote her response to Ginny and tapped her foot. Celeste appeared and smiled. "Is there a problem, Mistress?"

"Yes. Severus has given me permission to use Night Dance but I have no idea where to find him. Do you know?"


Celeste giggled. "Of course Mistress. All you do is call his name and he will come."

"Thank you, Celeste. I will take lunch in the glass room."

"Yes, Mistress." The elf vanished and she turned to the window.


"NIGHT DANCE! COME PLEASE!"

She gasped as a big raven flew in and dropped on the desk. The young witch then giggled as he bowed low and then looked at her.

"Night Dance, I need you to deliver this letter to Ginny Weasley. Check the Burrow first. Please do be careful."


The raven gently nibbled her finger in understanding and took the envelope from her hand. He then blinked and flew off out the window.

Ginny was sitting outside on a blanket, alone, whenever a huge raven she had never seen before landed and bowed. "Hello. Is that for me?", she questioned.


The raven jumped up on her shoulder and allowed her to take the envelope from his beak. He then gently nipped the top of her ear and gently pulled her hair, taking a strand of it. "OUCH!"

He jumped down and bowed then turned taking off again.

Ginny opened the envelope, noticing Hermione's handwriting immediately.


"Gin,

I asked Severus and he said that you could come. He asks that you use caution because of the location of his manor. You are the only one allowed to come, no one else in your family.

He will send a port key in two days time to activate. He also said something about once you enter by port key the wards will allow you entrance anytime afterwards.

I am looking forward to your visit and talking with you. So much has happened. Bring your suit and we will swim. The pool is amazing.

P. S. Destroy this after reading."

Ginny destroyed the letter and got up, going back into the house. Molly looked up at her as she came in. "Ginny?"

The young girl turned. "Yes, Mum?"

"Whose raven was that?"

The young girl looked left to right. "I..umm.."


Molly chuckled. "It is fine, Ginny. A girl is allowed her secrets. Dinner will be ready soon. If you want to shower, no one is home but us. Have you spoken to Hermione?"

"Not yet. I don't think she likes us very well.", Ginny said turning.


"Well, we must get her back in our graces. We need her for the battle with Voldemort. You know this. Time is running out and without her, we will loose."


Ginny didn't turn to face the woman. "Did you not hear, Professor Snape? And Harry when he said why Ron beat her up?"


Molly turned and smiled. "Yes, but that is what you are going to do. It is up to you to get her back for us. She is your friend, she will help."



Ginny walked up the stairs to the shower. "No Mum. That's where you are wrong. Hermione will never return, she won't help the Light any longer."

Two days later, Hermione was sitting on a lounge chair in the pool area whenever she felt a surge in the wards and heard footsteps coming down the hallway. Celeste stuck her head around the corner and smiled. "A Miss Ginny Weasley to see you, Mistress. Shall I get snacks and tea?"


"Yes, please. Thank you Celeste."

She stood and hugged Ginny as the red head ran across the area to hug her. "I have missed you so much, Hermione. You have to tell me everything. I heard what Severus told us and I heard what Ron did from Harry."


"One thing at a time. You look great Gin."

"Thanks, you too. So, what's going on."


Celeste brought the tea and sandwiches as the two sat talking. "I feel like a princess living here, Gin. Celeste waits on me hand and foot and Severus is so nice."


Ginny chuckled. "I don't see how he keeps a place like this hidden. I mean I know there are strong wards. I wonder just how many places he does have."


Hermione shrugged and picked up another sandwich. "I don't know. I haven't asked. I know the study floo is directly linked to Malfoy Manor but other than that."


At the word Malfoy Manor, Ginny leaned back in the chair. She looked over as Hermione raised her arms over her head, causing her shirt to rise and saw the top of the brand Severus had given her.


"I see you discovered the sound proof room in Malfoy Manor.", Ginny said without thinking.

Hermione's head jerked around. "How do you know about the room? Ginny? How do you know? Tell me."


Ginny stood and touched the helm of her shirt. "Remember I said something about hiding secrets?"

Hermione nodded. "Yeah, I thought that strange because you used to tell me everything."


"Not everything and please don't be angry at me."

"I couldn't be, Gin."

Ginny pulled her shirt up and pushed her shorts down her hips. Hermione's gasp of surprise had Ginny looking up to see her eyes darting from the mark to her face. Suddenly it dawned on Hermione and she jumped up hugging Ginny.

Severus came walking in, followed closely by Draco and Lucius. Hermione pulled Severus over and lifted Ginny 's shirt. "Look Severus, Look.", she smiled with happiness.

Severus' eyes went wide and he turned motioning Lucius over. As soon as the blonde saw the mark, he looked over to Draco. There on Ginny's hip in the same placement as Hermione and Cissy's was the brand of DM.


Lucius arched his eyebrow. "Explain."

Draco walked over and pulled Ginny back away from his father and Severus, his grey eyes locked in protection. Lucius chuckled and smiled. "Are you happy son?"


"I love her, Father. Ginny has had my brand for over a year now. I didn't want you to find out this way."


Lucius shook his head. "It makes perfect sense now. As to why you refused to participate in revels and take women to your bed. I am not upset, Draco, but I do wish you would have told me. This poses a problem."


Ginny snorted. "No problem. They expect me to "talk" Hermione into coming back. They need her, they say. I refuse to go against my boyfriend and help them any longer. Professor Snape isn't the only spy."


Lucius nodded in understanding. "Well then, I must ask. Have you consummated the bond yet?"


Ginny snorted again. "I ain't no virgin if that's what your asking."


Draco arched and lowered his eyebrows quickly. "Oh yes, we have consummated the bond, many times that night and since then."

Hermione started to giggle, which turned quickly into full blown laughter. "I can't believe it. Ginny your a sex fiend. Every time you asked me to cover for you this past year at Hogwart's. You were meeting Draco, wasn't you? I should have known."


Ginny blushed and looked down. "Yeah, so. I'm sorry, Hermione. I didn't want to loose the only true friend I ever had. Draco wasn't exactly liked by you guys. How do you tell your best friend your in love and sleeping with the enemy? It was so hard when all I wanted to do was blurt it out."


Draco kissed the back of her neck. "I won't let you return back there. You know this, Ginny. I refuse to have you hurt. I can't risk loosing you."


Severus snapped his fingers, causing another elf to appear. "Joshua. Make up the room beside the Mistress for Miss Weasley. She will be in attendance starting today. Also, make sure young Master Malfoy's things are moved into there."

"Yes, Master.", the little elf responded and vanished from sight.


"I would feel safer with Draco being here, instead of Malfoy Manor right now. They will try to find Ginny and the manor might be one of the places they look. Besides, I can't protect them both. I could but I don't feel the need with her being with Draco. Now, come on you two, we have things to discuss with our lord and other things."


"Of course. I promise to return him tonight, Ginny. And welcome to our family.", Lucius remarked with a soft smile.

"Thank you, sir."

Draco gave her one last kiss and the three walked out with Severus giving Hermione a wink. The two girls then changed into their suits and started to swim.
