Hermione had only been home for two days, yet she hadn’t heard anything from Malfoy. Feeling a little depressed at the thought of having to leave again for another convention she decided she would leave early today. Hell, she’d be gone for work for another 3 days, what’s a few hours?

Gathering her papers and files she heard movement outside her office. Looking up she saw a small Goblin walking in her office carrying a large bouquet of Orchids and Lillies.

“Ms. Granger?” he asked her.

“Yes?”

“Delivery for you ma’am, please sign here” The goblin handed her a notepad, signing her name she asked the goblin to please leave them on her desk.

As he left the office she noticed a few of her co-workers peeking around the corners trying to get a glimpse of just who would be sending ‘her’ flowers.

Smiling to herself, knowing only one person would send her this type of lovely arrangement she pulled the card from within the cluster.

Mione,

Being away from you is killing me slowly,

When I’m with you time stands still,

Another day of this and I will go mad,

Meet me tonight- ‘The Top of The Hill’

Don’t be late, don’t be sad,

One more night and all your dreams will be filled.

~D.M.

Hermione blushed fervently, remembering those precious few days she had spent with him.

“Hey girl, ooh whatcha got there?” Ginny pulled Hermione out of her blissfull thoughts as she sauntered over to her desk and inhaled slowly.

“wow, who’s sending you flowers? Someone from this weekend maybe?” Ginny teased her.

Once Hermione was home Ginny had popped by and Hermione gave her the basics of her weekend, not yet wanting to tell her exactly ‘who’ she spent her glorious time with, knowing the red head would never approve.

Her insides clenched tightly as she tried to hide the card behind her back.

“Yes, actually. He wants to meet for dinner tonight.” Hermione’s mouth suddenly went dry. Not wanting to divulge anymore information, she quickly walked behind her desk and grabbed her files.

“Ginny, I really have to get home, so if we could maybe do lunch tomorrow” Hermione tried easing out the doorway.

“Oh no you don’t” Ginny halted her from leaving the office “First you come back from a long weekend completely glowing and then fail to give me this mystery man’s name or anything about him, I figured it was just one of those ‘tension releasing’ things, you know, find a nice man, have it off a few times, but he’s actually sending you flowers. Who is HE?”

“Ginny, I. . .well, you see, I didn’t. . .” Hermione was sputtering trying to come up with some kind of answer that would get Ginny off her back.

Luckily, a paper airplane flew into Hermione’s office just at that moment, vying for her attention.

Grabbing it out of the air, she quickly scanned it and motioned towards the door again.

“Ginny, I really do have to go, but I promise, we’ll do lunch this week and I’ll tell you everything” and with that Hermione made her escape towards the lifts, jumping in just as the door closed so Ginny could not follow her.

Slumping against the wall and letting out an aggravated breath, her mind pondered just exactly what she planned on telling her best friend.

Stepping out of the shower feeling completely refreshed and somewhat excited about seeing Draco again, she hummed to herself while choosing her clothes for the evening. After not seeing him for two whole days, she was pretty sure something that could be easily ‘accessible’ would be a smart choice.

Pulling out her short black skirt and her red silk blouse, she shook her head at herself. ‘I must be crazy’

‘Yeah, about him’ she laughed softly.

Putting on the final touches and strapping on her black heels, she appraised herself in the mirror.

‘You look lovely dear’ the mirror gushed.

Grabbing her clutch she made her way out the door and headed for the Apparition point.

It had been two days since he’d seen her, touched her, tasted her. Just thinking about her made his erection pulse with need. In a few short hours she would again be in his arms and hopefully they would be together forever. He had made plans for them to leave for his estate in Spain directly after dinner, hoping she would accompany him without protest. He wanted nothing more than to spend the next week, month or even year with her by his side. Not knowing how she felt about it, trepidation filling his insides he stepped into the shower to get ready for the most wonderful evening of his life, he hoped.

The hot water washing over him, relaxing him slightly as his thoughts went back to their weekend together. Never in his life had he expected to run into her there, of all places. But it was the best thing that could ever happen to him. For years after the war his thoughts had trailed to her, wondering where she was, what she was doing, who she was with. More than once he had wished he had stepped up and told her how he felt after the war, after the funeral. He didn’t have the courage. Seeing her weep for Weasley pushed him further away, knowing full well she would want nothing from him. So he dove into his business, intent on keeping her out of his thoughts in the future. To no avail. There were countless dreams in which she starred as his leading lady in his lavish life. She would be draped on his arm as they entered extravagant ballrooms, or she would be the one riding him to completion in his more erotic dreams. But the ones that weighed most heavily upon his mind, were the ones where she was holding a small child in her arms rocking back and forth as the child suckled upon her breasts and she would look at him and call to him. Those were the most disturbing dreams he had ever had about her. He knew there was an attraction there, but when he awoke in the middle of the night, his heart beating in his chest painfully, sweat pouring down his back from the revelation of just what those dreams meant, he knew he was lost.

That fateful day he ran into her, changed his life forever. Only to stumble across her twice more within those few short weeks. By the third time, he knew it was a sign. His dreams had come back in full force after kissing her. So when he saw her in that club in Fistral Beach, he had to have her.

Draco’s hand eagerly stroked his now raging hard on as his memories played out for him. Taking her in her room, again on the beach and back to her room yet again to spend the most amazing night with her, his hand pumped furiously, trying to reach his peak his mind flashed images of her beneath him, calling out his name as he came violently, spilling down the drain, resting his forehead on the tile wall, breathing hard.

“Gods Granger, what you do to me”

Rinsing off and stepping out of the shower he realized he had less than an hour to get ready.

Hermione stood nervously outside the restaurant.

“okay, just stay calm, cool, collected. You CANNOT jump on him once you see him” ‘yeah right’

Taking a deep breath she opened the door to the restaurant and stepped inside.

“Good evening ma’am do you have reservations?” The maitre’ de asked her.

“Uh, yes, I believe it’s under Malfoy”

“Yes, yes, right through here please” Picking up a small menu, he lead her towards the back corner of the restaurant, there was a small booth with soft lighting, very intimate.

“Thank You” Hermione took her seat and ordered a Chardonnay while she waited for Draco.

As she looked around the restaurant taking in the ambiance she noticed two people sitting not far away that she did not plan on seeing. Her eyes huge, she turned her head around, hoping they wouldn’t notice her. How in the world was she supposed to have dinner with Draco Malfoy with THOSE two sitting in the same room.

Tapping her foot nervously, she wrung her hands as her brain completely failed her for a solution. The harder she thought about it, the darker her mind went. Nothing. She was left utterly clueless as to what to do.

~*~

Draco entered the restaurant with a single red rose, told the waiter he was meeting a young lady and headed straight for his usual table.

As he walked in, he stopped dead in his tracks. This was the last person he wanted to see here.
