After taking a good half hour to laugh at what he had done to Draco, Harry had fallen into another fitful nightmare of screaming and curses, and flashes of red and green.
The next morning, Harry learned more about Veela’s and how they connect with their mates... whether he or Ron wanted to hear it or not.
The first connection was chosen by ‘scent’; that let the Veela know who was more compatible and made them even more appealing. Hermione immediately suggested three potions to lighten and change his scent, and Harry quickly wrote them down.
The second was ‘sight’, with that being what had happened on the train. Hermione told him it could be broken in two weeks, as long as they didn't lock eyes. That would be easy... after what happened last night on the sofa, Harry doubted he could look Draco in the eye again for the rest of his life. Though he couldn't help but laugh at the impotence curse he had cast on him.
The third connection gave Harry a jolt for it was ‘touch’. Luckily, that only worked when the Mate or ‘Submissive’… Ugh… accepted the touch of his Veela or Dominate... Ugh again.
Luckily, the last two connections were the ones Harry would rely on most, ‘hearing’ and ‘taste’.
For the connection to be COMPLETE, to the point of no return, Harry had to give a Vow of Submission and then kiss Draco.
’Thank God’... Harry thought as he looked quickly to the head of blond hair at the Slytherin table before looking away just as quick. ‘Those are the two things I KNOW I'll never do’...

Draco was livid...
He was more than livid. He was insulted and sulky as well. And he had a good reason to be.
His mate had hexed him!!! No, not his mate… Potter.
His mate was the moaning, writhing, gasping person under him on the sofa...
The person that hexed him was NOT his mate.
"Still having problems? With courting Potter, I mean?" Nott commented kindly, with a semi-drugged smile.
Draco blinked blandly at the strange boy, being shocked by his actions yet again. Nott didn't notice, as he seemed to have glued his arms around Millicent. Draco raised an eyebrow at him and his unusually happy demeanor. The boy was DEFINITELY on a potion or two.
"Wow, Nott, how many potions did you take to make you this… friendly?"
"Just a few healing potions, some cheers and eu-" Nott was about to continue but Millicent had stood up, and dragged him away from Draco, glaring harshly at him. Draco sneered and chuckled as Nott followed the red head like a little lost puppy.
"Seriously though, Draco." Blaise said loosening his tie on his school uniform and dropping his books for the day at his side. "You've been glaring a hole in Harry's head all morning."
"It's only just now breakfast!" Draco snapped.
"Same difference." Pansy said waving a regal hand, then folding them and placing her chin lightly on top. "Besides you look like you need some advice."
"What happened last night Draco?" Blaise said sternly while narrowing his eyes, as if to let Draco know he wasn't leaving without telling him.
Draco narrowed his eyes right back at his tall, stocky and black best mate, realizing he was going to lose one way or another.
"All right, i'll tell you." Draco said standing up and grabbing his bag to lead his best mates to somewhere more private. "But i'm telling you now, you will NOT repeat it to ANYONE..."

----------------------------------------
"OH-MY-GOD, THAT-WAS-BLOODY-BRILLIANT!!" Ron said between fits of laugher. His face was beat red, his robe and bag resting on the chair, as he literally rolled on the ground.
Harry smiled proudly as he watched his friend’s reactions. He didn't give them any... details of what had happened on the sofa, but he got his point across just by saying Draco snogged him.
Harry moved and sat on another of the empty chairs in the abandoned classroom they had taken over for this ‘meeting’ of sorts.
"Well…that was... different." Hermione said chuckling as well, while trying not to double over herself.
"Yes, well. He deserved it." Harry said smiling yet again for the first time in months as he laid back.
"Oh, bloody Hell! That was… that... was..." Ron said sitting up as he looked at Harry.
"Twin-Worthy?" Harry said with a grin, sending Ron into another fit of laughter.
"So, Harry... what are you going to do now?" Harry blinked as he thought it over.
----------------------------------------
----------------------------------------
"I'M GOING TO BLOODY STRANGLE HIM, IS WHAT!!" Draco yelled as Blaise and Pansy rolled their eyes.
"No Draco, not about THAT... What are you going to do about Potter?" Pansy said stepping forward, her arms crossed. "Do you still want him? And more important do you think he'd still be interested in you after last night? You'll definitely have to slow down, either way. That was fairly rash what you did last night."
"Well..." Draco said. "I've been dreaming about the bloody bastard for MONTHS now, nearly over a year. And suddenly, after I get my senses overloaded with his scent, he challenges me and gives chase!!!" Draco said as if he were stating a claim for a court.
"What was I supposed to do, let him get away?"
"No." Blaise said. "But letting him get to the door might have been a better choice..."
Pansy waved it off. "Now you two stop it. The damage is done, but it can be repaired. And what we need to do now is find out if 1) Draco still wants him and 2) if we can get Harry to want Draco... which I think will be the harder part."
"Yes… Yes I still want him." Draco said. Besides infuriating him, last nights events did cause something else to happen to Draco; it allowed him a taste of what could be his. That is if he should succeed in making Harry become his mate. And shockingly enough, every second of what happened caused Draco to want him even more.

"So. Harry." Hermione said, watching as Ron left the room to go grab more breakfast. Once she was sure he was gone she looked back.
"Harry, are you still having nightmares?"
Harry's shoulders and happy look dropped at Hermione's words. He really didn't need a reminder of that especially when he had nearly forgotten.
"I'll take that as a ‘yes’." Hermione said with a sigh.
"Yes, i'm still having nightmares... No, they aren't as bad as they used to be. They're calming done, Mione, I promise."
Hermione blinked and then nodded, seeming to think that Harry had told the truth.
"All right, good. Harry I'm glad to see that you're getting back to your old self again. I was really worried about you, we all were." Hermione said with a smile as she gave Harry a quick hug.
"I'm glad to see you're finally getting past all of it." Hermione said before she rushed out of the room.
Sadly enough she didn't realize the effect her words had on Harry. She didn't see that the second she left the room a pained and sickly look washed over Harry's face and refused to leave.

The next two weeks were a silent and hellish game of Cat and Mouse.
For the first three days Draco tried to locate Harry by following his scent. Harry avoided this by using the wayward and hidden paths along with the help of his father's map. He easily snuck into his room while Draco walked into his own room.
Draco countered by learning the paths, fairly quickly, by the fourth day.
Harry, in turn, took a trip to the ROR and requested a potion that would nullify his scent for a month, as the one Hermione was brewing wasn't completely done yet.
Draco was at a loss for about two days before he caught on. He returned Harry's treachery by sneaking into his office room and placing a tracking charm on Harry's favorite quill.
Harry caught on just as quickly and returned the favor by cursing Draco's favorite quill to write, "I'm a Git" and shock him whenever Draco signed his name. And to further infuriate Malfoy he was flirting openly with some Gryffindor tramp, Vane, in the middle of the Great Hall. Which sadly enough, seemed to hurt Harry more then it hurt Draco.
It was on the day that the impotence spell that Harry had cast on Draco was going to wear off, that Draco had decided that it was time to put an end to these childish games and move forward. Sadly, that was also the day that the Daily Prophet dropped a bombshell. It was also the day millions of owls started flying in.
All of Draco's plans, and Harry's whole world, seemed to come crashing down with three words...
"Harry Potter; GAY?!!"
