Rhys Morgan

Chapter 9

Rhys Morgan

Rhys Morgan looked over the young woman in front of him. He hadn’t seen her since the end of summer when they had parted their ways; her going back to boarding school and him going back to America to resume his work. His sky blue eyes looked over her, her curly brown hair hanging temptingly around her face and shoulders, his hands itching to bury themselves in the silken strands and bring that luscious mouth of hers to his; so he could devour her like he had done only months ago. His gaze fell to Hermione’s tempting body, making his blood burn as it yearned to feel her smooth skin against his hands, his lips….. his body. Letting out a silent groan to himself as he got hard at the sight of her perfect, petite figure in front of him. He tried to ignore his erection which was currently biting painfully into the zipper on his leathers, straining, pushing. He let his cerulean eyes meet with her russet colored ones.

Hermione’s eyes went wide as she looked at Rhys. She could still remember meeting him at that smoky, biker bar, she remembered how his sapphire eyes had followed her the moment she had walked into the bar, how she felt the hairs on the back of her neck stand on end as he let his burning gaze drift over her body. How he had downed the last of his drink and moved from his seat at the bar and headed up to the dance floor to meet her in the erotic dance of bodies meeting with each other. She was pulled out her memories when Malfoy had tightened his grip around her waist and sneered at Rhys.

“Watch where you’re going dickhead.” Malfoy sneered at Rhys.

Hermione looked at Rhys and gently pulled out of Malfoy’s embrace and smiled at Rhys.

“Rhys.” She said happily and gave him a hug, happy to see her close friend was back from America. They hadn’t seen each other since the end of summer and couldn’t believe he was here.

“Tink.” Rhys sighed as he felt her body pressed intimately against his. He closed his eyes and remembered the first time he had named Hermione, Tink.

It was when they had met for lunch after their first encounter at Zero Sum. He had claimed he had reminded her of Tinkerbell from Peter Pan, her fiery attitude and her stubbornness a prefect comparison to the Disney character. Hermione had laughed and shrugged claiming it was better than ‘mudblood’ then agreeing that it was cute. Rhys had pulled back when the words ‘cute’ had come out of her mouth claiming her was rugged and manly not ‘cute’. Hermione had giggled and continued to eat her meal and poke fun at him for the rest of the evening.

“It’s so good to see you.” Hermione breathed, then pulled away from his grasp and stood in front of him with her 5’4 height against his 6’ 4 frame. She was so focused on Rhys that she didn’t even notice the hurt that flashed through Draco’s grey orbs as he watched the scene unfold in front of him.

“You too Tink.” Rhys said back at Hermione a smile touching his beautiful poet lips. It was then his eyes darted to the young boy behind his Tink. He had pale blond hair and marble white skin, his gunmetal grey eyes were filled with anger and a sneer was imprinted on his face, Rhys smirked at the young man and shook his head. Did the boy actually think he could take his Tink away from him?

Draco’s eyes pointed daggers at Rhys as he watched him pull away from his Hermione. Jealousy twisting his gut as he watched Hermione pull away from the man and ignore his presence.

Hermione felt Draco pulled her back to him, her back softly colliding with his firm chest.

“Umm, Rhys this is Mal- Draco, he is my..” Hermione’s sentence was cut short when Draco interrupted her.

“Boyfriend.” Draco said, finishing off her sentence for her. Hermione turned her head to look at him and raised an eyebrow questioningly at his answer. Boyfriend? Her mind screamed.

Rhys looked at Hermione and grunted, unimpressed. He was pulled out of his thought when Zoe came over.

“Oh my god, isn’t this..” Zoe said to Hermione. Hermione nodded her head confirming that this was actually the boy they were talking about earlier on in the day in the kitchen.

“Damn he’s hot.” Hermione heard her cousin murmur to herself as she let her gaze slowly roamed over Rhys hot body; which was encased in leathers, a black T-Shirt and shitkickers.

Hermione drifted her hand down to entwine her fingers with Draco’s, knowing that he was feeling threatened by her ex- boyfriend.

“It was good to see you Rhys.” Hermione smiled at him.

“You too Tink. We should catch up some time.” Rhys suggested as he winked at her. Hermione felt a smile tug at the edge of her lips.

“I’ll see.” She announced before heading past Rhys with Draco’s hand in hers and walking to the bar. Once they were past Rhys Draco pulled her in a different direction. Hermione smirked, loving the jealousy and rage that was currently filling his body as he roughly pulled her into one of the private booths and locked the door behind them. Hermione stared up innocently at him as he turned around to look at her.

“Who the fuck was that?” Draco screamed at her. Hermione didn’t even flinch, she knew this was coming. She knew he would get possessive of her, and truth be told, she loved this side of him. Rhys just didn’t make her feel like Draco did. He didn’t give her butterflies when he touched her like Draco did. He didn’t make her heart pound faster when he kissed her like Draco did. He just wasn’t Draco.

“An ex boyfriend.” Hermione replied nonchalantly. Draco felt his blood boil as he watched her, her eyes gazing at him with that innocent stare. Draco let out a frustrated sigh, he was a Malfoy. His father had always told him to keep his cool, calm exterior. Never to show any emotion, because if he did it would show the other person they were affecting him. He prided himself on his iron control over his emotions but for some reason when dealing with this fierce, courageous, Gryffindor all the things he had been taught and told about keeping calm, flew straight out of the window when dealing with Hermione.

“You’re mine.” He growled low in his throat before pulling her into his arms and enfolding her delectable mouth with his into an earth shattering kiss.

Rhys headed over to the bar as he watched Hermione and Draco walk off past him. Sighing he ordered a glass of Grey Goose vodka.

“So you’re the hottie cuz hooked up with?” Zoe purred as she leaned her back against the bar and looked up at him. Her light hazel eyes twinkling in mischief as she looked into his azure orbs. Rhys took a gulp of his vodka and looked back at Zoe.

“Yeah” His deep manly voice vibrating with heat as he thought of Hermione.

“Good luck.” Zoe scoffed as she let her eyes fix on the packed dance floor in front of her. Rhys’ brows furrowed as he looked at her confused.

“What?” He asked. Zoe looked at him as a small smile played on her lips.

“You’ll never be enough. Never be him, no matter how hot you are.”

“Him?” Rhys asked.

“Malfoy. They have that weird love hate relationship. You’ll never match up to that pureblood. Sure she may be interested in you right now but…..he’s got her heart.” Zoe felt sorry for the man in front of her, it was obvious Rhys felt something for Hermione. But she knew for a fact that Hermione would never be his.

“How exactly do you know this?” Rhys asked, his voice rough with emotion. Over the past months, the only woman on his mind had been Hermione, and he knew he had to see her again.

“Her diary.” Zoe said smirking, Rhys looked at her astonished.

“You read her diary?” Rhys asked intrigued, did it have anything about him in there.

“Yeah. Trust me, cut your losses right now and move on. She’s already given her heart to someone else.” Zoe warned him before sauntering off to the dance floor.

Rhys’ gaze fixed on where Zoe had been, his mind filled with thoughts. Downing the last of the vodka he headed out the club and climbed onto his motorcycle and started the engine before roaring off into the night.
