After a couple of cups of tea and a late lunch Ginny and Harry headed back to the borrow. They had planned on staying longer but they couldn't shake off the feeling that something was going to happen at the borrow. Remus promised to drop by for dinner before they disappeared into the fireplace.
When they arrived at the borrow they were both surprised to see Arthur was home. Ginny blushed slightly remembering the conversation that she had overheard at Remus' house. Perhaps she should just talk to her dad and get it over with. If she didn't talk to him about it she was going to blush every time she looked at him.
Arthur seemed to notice something was up because he cleared his throat.
“Can I talk to you dad?” Ginny asked. She turned to look at Harry. “You can go out and play Quidditch with everyone else. I'll be out in a bit.”
Harry just nodded as he walked out of the kitchen and into the back yard. He knew what Ginny wanted to talk to her dad about and it was too embarrassing to think about.
“What's wrong Ginny?” Arthur said motioning for Ginny to sit down at the table.
“I...I kind of overheard the conversation you had with Lupin,” Ginny said he face going bright red. “Harry and I went over there to have lunch with him and we overheard you two.”
“Oh...” was all Arthur said looking down at his hands in shame.
“It's ok Dad,” Ginny said letting out a sigh. “I was mad about it at first but Lupin calmed me down pretty quick.”
“I want you to know that I wold never touch...” he started but his daughter didn't let him finish.
“I know,” she stated with a nod. “I know you would never touch me in a sexual way.”
“You have no idea how hard it is not to,” Arthur said leaning close to her.
He slipped one of his hands under the table and touch one of Ginny's knees. She didn't flinch or move away from him. His touch wasn't making her uncomfortable. Arthur leaned closer and closer until their faces were only inches apart. Ginny was sure he was going to kiss her.
Suddenly there were loud voices from the yard and Arthur had yanked away from her. They both looked at the door. Everyone was coming in from their Quidditch game because of a sudden down pour of rain.
“What are you doing home dad?” Ron asked when he entered the kitchen.
“I...uh...I took the afternoon off,” he said quickly. “I knew Molly was going to be gone with Bill and Fleur so I came home.”
Ron shrugged and he and Hermione walked off into the living room. Harry stayed in the doorway looking forward blankly.
“You alright?” Ginny asked walking over to him.
Harry couldn't hear Ginny's voice. In fact he could barely see her. She was only showing up lightly in his vision. All the boy who lived could see was a large dark room with a woman sitting on the floor. Her long graying black hair was blocking her face but Harry could hear her crying. She looked pretty hurt. One of her ankles was swollen and red. It looked like one of her wrist was in the same state. The woman was dragging herself across the floor. Her hair fell out of her face for a split second and Harry knew who she was.
“Eileen Snape!” he cried and his world went black.

When Harry came to he was lying on the kitchen floor and Ginny was calling his name. He slowly opened his eyes and found himself looking up at Ginny and Arthur. They were both wore concerned looks on their faces.
“What happened?” Ginny asked kneeling down next to him.
“I don't know,” Harry said rubbing his eyes. “I saw something. I think it was Eileen Snape.”
“What?” Arthur questioned in a surprised voice. “What was happening?”
“She was hurt,” he muttered closing his eyes again. “Her ankle and wrist looked broken.”
Arthur didn't say anything. He just held out of a hand for Harry to take. Even though it took a few minutes for the boy on the floor to figure out what he wanted he did take his hand. Arthur pulled him to his feet and looked him in the eye.
“What else was there?” he asked putting his hands on the boy's shoulders.
“That's all,” Harry answered. “That's all I saw. It was so quick. As soon as I realized who she was it disappeared. It was like someone wanted me to know it was her.”
For the longest time Arthur just stood there starting forward in deep thought. Harry and Ginny wished they knew what he was thinking about.
“I have to go back to the Ministry,” he said suddenly. “I have to see what it is going. Hermione is in charge.”
Ginny opened her mouth to ask him what was going on but she didn't get a chance. Before she could get one word out her father had disappeared.

MidnightLilly : I'm not a big fan of Ginny/Harry either but I figured since it was in the book I should work it into the fic a bit.
