Broken Inside Chapter 9


Hermione was busy reading up on her potions notes when the door suddenly banged open. Startled Hermione jumped and turned around. Professor Snape was standing in the doorway. His shirt was ripped and blood was seeping down his arm and he was evidently out of breath. Hermione ran over to him

“Professor, what happened” she asked feeling worried, something was evidently not right
“Attack………on Hogwarts…..the Dark Lord………overpowered us……taken all of Hogwarts prisoner”
“What, no”

Professor Snape had evidently got his breath back because he started talking very fast

“He has taken all who were at Hogwarts prisoner, and brought them here”
Hermione’s heart leapt to her throat, Harry ,Ron
“How many were there”
“The Order and Dumbledore’s army
“What, so few”
“The other students had been sent home, we knew that this would not be the final battle, so we thought we would not need them”
“Professor, did they find out……….?”
“No , They still think that I am working for the dark”
“Listen Miss Granger, there is no time I came here to tell you that the Dark Lord will be arriving any minute to take you see your friends so that he can gloat, you must be prepared. Now I must go, they will be expecting me”
As he walked out of the room, Hermione remembered something
“Professor………..Was anyone killed”
“No The Dark Lord wanted them all to be alive”
“Now I must go”
And with that, he left.

Hermione sat on her bed, The members of the Order and of the DA here?, right now. She wondered what Ron and Harry were thinking, they didn’t even know that she was here yet, and if Snape was right, they would know very soon. If Ron and Harry were here, that meant that….Dumbledore was here also, the one who had got her into this mess. Hermione thought of all the things she wanted to say to him, how he had ruined her life, her future. Suddenly Voldermort and Lucius Malfoy, walked into the room

“How is the mother of my child” said Voldermort coming up to Hermione and caressing her on the cheek, I hope that with your intelligence and my powers the baby will be the strongest the Wizarding World has ever known”
“All I know, is that the baby will be a pretty fucked up one, if it is true what they say that powerful babies can remember what is happening around them when they are in the womb, If your lucky he might be crazier than you” Hermione retorted in a sarcastic tone
She felt her head snap back as Malfoy slapped her
“How dare you talk to the Dark Lord in that tone, mudblood”
“Now Lucius, calm yourself, do not stain our day of victory with your mood”
Hermione looked up at that remark her hand on her throbbing cheek
“Yes Mudblood, today I Lord Voldermort, got the best of Potter and of that fool Albus Dumbledore, where they thought they could defeat me, I defeated them. I am here to escort you down there so that they can see where the stupidity of Albus Dumbledore landed you”
Suddenly there was a pop and the house elf appeared carrying with her a set of clothes
“You will wear these, I want everyone to see what a whore you are”
Hermione looked down at the clothes, they were even more revealing than the set she normally wore, all it was a black bra, and a very suggestive, short black skirt
“I am not wearing that” said Hermione
“You will wear that……or go naked” said Voldermort a sneer in his voice
Hermione picked up the clothes, then looked at the two men
“We will wait outside the door for you, come out when you are finished, wench or we will come in for you” said Malfoy coldly

Hermione took as long as she could getting ready, but finally she was. She walked out of the room her head held high, she would not give them the opportunity to see her as weak. The outfit seemed to illuminate even more the bruises on her arms, legs and face. She waited as they sized her up , and looked at them coldly. Malfoy grabbed her by the arm and Hermione stumbled alongside him.


Hermione noticed they were going deeper and deeper down, it seemed like an age before they stopped in front of a door guarded by two Death Eaters. They bowed to Voldermort and looked over at Hermione sneering. Hermione saw they were in a big dark stone room, In the middle of it was a big cage. Hermione could see numerous silhouettes in it. She was about to run forward when she was shoved to the side of the room by Malfoy. Hermione noticed that they were under a small window, the only window in this room and that a small beam of light was radiating from it, other than that the room was in darkness Hermione looked up suddenly, from across the room. Where the cage was a person was staring at her, Hermione could see disbelief in their eyes and then she realized who it was, Ron

“Ron, are you Ok?, Ron

“Hermione…..What are you doing here?

Lucius Malfoy hit Hermione with such force that she fell to the floor

“DO not talk unless you are spoken too filthy little Mudblood whore”

All the attention from the people in the room was now focused to where Hermione was. She heard Voldermorts high pitched laughter

“Yes, your little Mudblood friend, a great asset she is, to me and my men, but you were asking why she was here, did not the great, the powerful Albus Dumbledore tell her two best friends about where she was, or better yet, why she was there”

“Lucius, bring the whore to me, so that her friends can see what has happened to their friends because of the Great Albus Dumbledore “

Hermione felt Lucius grab her arm and drag her up from the floor, he pushed her towards the cage and let go. Hermione fell forward and grabbed on the bars of the cage for support. She heard gasps of shock and heard Lupin whisper

“Oh Hermione”

Hermione cringed inside , she knew what she must look like, bruises all about her body combined with the outfit, no one could have any doubt of what her role among the Death Eaters was. Hermione ignored all the talking that was going on from inside the cage. She fixed her attention on a set of blue eyes, the eyes of Albus Dumbledore, the man who had got her to where she was today, she willed all her anger and rage to go into the stare she fixed on him. He stared right back at her and Hermione could see regret in his eyes, well regret could not change anything that she had gone through, all the pain she had endured, regret would not help her now and she had gone through this all because of him. Hermione was brought back to reality by Voldermorts speech

“Yes, if you have not already guessed it, your little Mudblood
friend, has served as a whore, to my men and me, for the last month, and to think” here he strode around until he came to face Dumbledore
“To think, that I was ever afraid of you, of your power, you who by your own fault have brought your little Mudblood Student to where she is today, you who are right now at my mercy , to think that I was ever afraid that you would destroy me” here he spat at Albus Dumbledore’s feet

‘Now we must be leaving, I am sure the Mudblood has to prepare for this evening, who has booked her?”

“Mcnair has ,My Lord “ said Lucius Malfoy from the corner

“Well we must not keep McNair waiting should we,Lucius get her off the floor and led her to her chamber”

Hermione still had her gaze fixed on Dumbledore as Lucius Malfoy, roughly grabbed her am and pulled her up from the floor. She threw one last look at Dumbledore before being roughly pulled out of the room by Lucius Malfoy
