Twin Link
Chapter: 9
By: Bree McGregor
Sachiel Snape watched as his brother dragged Hermione away from him yet again. Angrily he changed his clothes back to his original style. He wanted revenge! Severus always ended up at the wrong place at the wrong time! He wanted her madly, even hating his twin brother as to bring her to him… but no, Severus had to always intervene!
Lost in his dark thoughts of revenge, Sachiel almost didn’t see the girl crying until he was right on her. He looked at her; he knew who she was but couldn’t quite place the name. He was never really good with names, but he knew she was a Gryffindor, and she always gave him moon eyes whenever she looked at him. She was wearing a lavender dress… ‘Yes, that’s it.’ He remembered her name was Lavender, Lavender Brown.
“What’s wrong, my dear?” he asked in a caring voice.
She looked up startled, and then relaxed when she saw who it was. “Oh, nothing… that you would be interested in,” she said as she sniffed back her tears.
“Oh, I don’t know. Give me a chance, Miss Brown.”
She looked up at him. He was rather good looking. She had wanted him to notice her, but not like this. He smiled at her with that charming smile, and she melted.
“Well, Markus — this guy I’ve been seeing — just dumped me for Millicent! I can’t believe it, she’s such a cow! Just because she practically falls out of her clothes… I thought there were dress codes here!”
“Well, I think this Markus really doesn’t deserve you then.”
“Thanks for saying that.” Lavender sniffled again. “I just feel so unattractive right now, like no one would ever be interested in me again. I mean, the guy left me for Millicent! It doesn\'t do good on anybody\'s self-esteem!” She felt guilty and ashamed for telling him this, as she wanted him to like her — not see her as some whiny little girl. “I’m sorry, I’m just upset. I’ll leave you so you can get where you’re going.”
The girl turned to leave when Sachiel stopped her by putting his hand on her arm.
“No, my dear,” he whispered as he stepped closer to her. “These thoughts do not become you… I find you extremely attractive,” he practically purred in her ear.
“Really?” She looked up at him with hope and affection in her face; he knew how to manipulate this situation to his advantage.
“Really,” he said as he slowly led her to an abandoned classroom. He closed the door behind them and silently placed locking and silencing spells on the room. “Let me show you, Lavender, just how much you are wanted, and how desirable you truly are.”
He leaned down and kissed the girl softly at first. Then, as she opened her mouth to him, he slipped his tongue inside and deepened the kiss, making it more demanding as the kiss went on. His hands were roaming over her body. He knew she wasn’t a virgin; he also knew he should go slowly and draw this out, but he was mad — mad as he had ever been at Severus! And he took the girl roughly. To his amazement, she enjoyed it very much.
Lavender was ecstatic! He was everything she thought he would be! Rough and passionate, his hands all over her— she didn’t think there was an inch of her that he didn’t touch. She moved to press herself closer to him. He smelled of darkness and unsheathed power, and she wanted that power inside of her. She couldn’t stop now even if the castle itself fell down; she wouldn’t let it stop now, she would do what she had to do to keep this going. She frantically started to undress him.
‘This girl is fire!’ thought Sachiel. She burned hotter than anyone he had met before! The rougher he got, the more she wanted him; could it be he met his match in this young woman? He shook the thought immediately; there was no way he was going to follow that thought… Instead, he decided to lose himself in the sensation and the feel of her soft heat.
Together they were a blur of fire and passion. They ripped and grabbed at each other’s clothes until they were both nude, and then — with no clothes to grab onto — they started to knead each other\'s skin. Lavender\'s perfectly manicured nails dug into his back. His hands cupped her arse as he roughly pulled her against him! He backed her into the nearest wall, kissing her repeatedly.
Lavender loved the feel of his hands on her body, the cold stone wall on her back.
He gripped her arse with one hand and her breast with another. She in turn grabbed his shaft and started to rub him, as a deep low moan came from him. She needed to feel him, taste him… Taking the initiative, she pulled her lips away from his and started to kiss down his neck, his collarbone, his chest, and then lower still. She allowed herself to slide down the wall until she was on her knees.
Sachiel moaned loudly as her hot sweet mouth wrapped around him. He braced his hands on the wall and just let her do what she wanted… Finally he could take it no more. He roughly pulled her back up to him and slammed her into the wall. She instantly wrapped her legs around him as he rammed deep into her, their breaths harsh and driven like his thrusts… With each dynamic time he entered her, she would tighten her leg muscles, driving him deeper.
They both came simultaneously, yelling at the top of their lungs. It was a very good thing that he put up a silencing spell, or they would have shaken the foundation of the castle itself.
~*~*~*~
Hermione found herself at the Headmaster\'s office door, which opened before she even had a chance to knock. She looked into the darkened room. She had never seen it this dark before, and wondered if the rumor was true that the room took on the Headmaster’s moods.
“Come in, child, and please take a seat.” Dumbledore’s voice came softly from within.
Hermione made her way inside, and saw the outline of the beloved Headmaster sitting behind his desk. She sat on a chair in front of his desk. Looking closely, she noticed his hands were pressed against the bridge of his nose. ‘He looks so tired,’ she thought. \'So worn.\'
“Professor, I know this looks bad, but…”
Dumbledore held up a hand to stop her. He took a deep breath and murmured a word, and the room became lighter again.
She noticed that he looked like he wasn’t sure what to say. She saw him take a deep breath and soon became like his old self. She was worried; to her knowledge, he had never before let anyone see him weak, not like this.
“My dear, I have a few things to ask as well as a few things to tell you. First, why is it that we keep finding you in the arms of Sachiel Snape? I so put my heart on the hope that you and Severus would come to an agreement once you left school.”
‘WHAT!’ Hermione’s mind screamed… he wanted her to be with Severus??!!!
“Sir, I don’t understand,” she said, confused.
“Well, you see, my dear, I knew the two of you would be perfect together if you could see past your differences. Then Sachiel came, and all I saw was you drawn to him in the way I wished you were drawn to Severus. Sachiel would not be good for you, my dear. He will bring you down, and I cannot allow that to happen; you are far too important to us in the wizarding world.”
She looked at him, trying to understand what he was telling her. “What do you mean — I’m TOO important? I’m Muggleborn, sir.”
“Yes, exactly!” the Headmaster said excitedly. “You are a link to the Muggle world. Now if I can get you and Severus together, then this all may work out.”
“How? What are you up to this time, Professor?” She narrowed her eyes at him suspiciously.
He chuckled, the gleam coming back into his eyes.
“You see, child, with Severus being a former Death Eater as well as a Pureblood, and you being Muggleborn as well as the most talented witch to cross these doors in many a year…” He sighed when he saw that she still didn’t totally understand, which told him it would take time to let this all sink in. “So to put it bluntly, if the two of you should have children, then those children would have the potential to heal both worlds.”
“How could you think that?”
“It\'s in a prophecy, my dear.” He held up his hand again, knowing what she was going to say. “I know, I know, you don’t hold that to much, but this prophecy was not given by Professor Trelawney. Rather, it was foretold by her great-great-grandmother, many years before even Professor Snape was born. Her name was Cassandra Trelawney, and she was a true seer. I was hoping that Professor Trelawney had inherited her gift but alas, this was not truly the case, though she has come through a time or two.”
“You mean before either one of us was born, someone said that our children would heal both worlds?”
“Yes, and no… you see, in the prophecy, it was not that your names had been mentioned, but the circumstances around it are perfect!” Still seeing that she was not truly understanding him, he pulled out a Pensieve. He tapped his wand to his forehead, then — when it glowed — he placed the glowing wand into the Pensieve and invited Hermione to look inside.
The colors started off muted but became clearer as the Pensieve’s memory came into focus. She was expecting a room much like Professor Trelawney\'s, but instead she was in a tastefully decorated room in the Roaring 20’s style. Sitting in the room was a beautiful woman, with long flowing brown hair and bright hazel eyes. She was older, somewhere in her mid- to late-50’s, but it was really hard to guess her real age. Some witches hid their age well, and if this was the 1920’s as the decor announced, then this woman was older then she looked. Sitting next to her was a much younger Professor Dumbledore; his hair and beard were red, not gray. Hermione could tell there was a connection between the two, but she really didn’t want to know the details.
Hermione walked around the room, looking for the trappings of the seer — crystal balls, tarot cards, etc. She was amazed not to find anything; this was just a sitting room. Her attention was taken back to the two people who were sitting, when they started to speak.
“Well, Albus, how is everything going with your alchemy experiments?”
“Fine, just fine, Cassandra. Nicholas and I are making incredible progress,” he replied.
“So be it, you old coot! Keep your secrets, and I’ll keep mine!”
“Now, now, Cassandra! You did not ask me to come all the way here just to not say anything. You\'ve had another vision, haven’t you?” This was not a question but a statement.
“Yes, but I don’t think I’m going to tell you.” She turned her head away playfully, acting upset. Hermione felt she was witnessing a rather personal moment, and wondered why the Professor didn’t edit this part out.
Dumbledore raised an eyebrow. “Well, what if I made it up to you with dinner tonight?”
Cassandra smiled and agreed. The woman took a deep breath, and was instantly in a deep trance. Only the most professional and highly trained can sleep that deep so easily, which only enforced Hermione’s feelings that this woman was older then she looked.
“With the second coming of the dead-ones, there will be a traitor in their nest. Noble and self-sacrificing for the light, deep in the viper’s nest, he will live for zero and twenty years… until a light will emerge from the darkness. In the second coming, a girl of no magical heritage will shine forth as a beacon of the future. She will have no magical equal except for the noble traitor. The two together, and the issue they create, will heal and once again join the two worlds that will be joined until the end of time. This will come to pass, for each needs the other to survive.”
The woman came out of her trance and shook her head, as if to shake the affects of the trance. Dumbledore handed her a cup of tea as he waited a few moments before he could ask questions.
\"So what does this entire message mean?\" he asked softly.
\"I don\'t know, Albus, but evidently we are in for some rough time in the future.\"
The words they were speaking started to fade as well as her surroundings. Next thing Hermione knew, she was out of the Pensieve and back in the Headmaster\'s office. The reason for the darkness became clear; her eyes hurt. She knew if there was any light in the room, it would have been unbearable. She wondered how long Dumbledore had been sitting here looking into it.
\"Do you understand, my dear? I\'ve been waiting for both of you for quite some time... almost seventy years. Twenty years ago, when Severus came to me, I had a feeling he might be the one. His NEWTS were unmatched until you came along. I really didn\'t see this until you became part of the Order, after Voldemort came back into power.\"
\"The dead-ones… Death Eaters?\"
\"So it would seem.\"
\"So now what?\" she asked, looking away from his eyes. She didn\'t know if she could hide her joy about learning that Severus was the only man for her; she already knew this, but to have it confirmed... Now her problem was Severus.
\"Now I need you to stop seeing Sachiel! I would rather you spent your time with Severus. He is more your intellectual equal, anyway.\"
\"Well, I have a confession to make sir.\"
Dumbledore looked at her and waited until she looked back into his eyes.
\"Yes?\" he said when she finally did just that.
\"Well, every time Sachiel gets me in such a position, I always think it is Severus. Just last night he said he was dressed like his brother for Halloween, and before that….\" She sighed deeply and looked down at the floor. \"The times before that… I guess I fell for it because I wanted to believe it was Professor Snape.\"
\"I see,\" he said with a big smile and twinkling eyes. \"Looks like fate works better then I do.\"
She returned his smile and jokingly said, \"Let us hope, Professor.\"
Dumbledore laughed at the double comment she just gave him.
