Chapter 8

Harry sat in the tub for awhile after Draco left, the water slowly chilling, causing his skin to develop goose bumps. He just realized that what is forming (or may have already started) is more than just a bond. It’s love. He just wondered if Draco knew.

He slowly rose to his feet, his body smelling like the violet sweet perfume and still dripping with the soapy water. He reached for one of their towels and slowly dried himself off, making sure to not miss a spot of his smooth, tanned skin. After he was dry, he threw the towel carelessly to the floor and magicked himself a clean pair of trousers, boxers, and shirt. He quickly pulled the black silk over his fine legs, pulling the trousers on right after. Harry just threw the shirt around his shoulders and walked out of the bathroom still buttoning it up.

He went to the room he and Draco shared and quickly grabbed his bag, preparing to head to the library. He then descended the long spiral staircase leading to the common room. After picking up his Divination book, he left the tower without another thought other than Draco.

The walk from their tower to the library was a long one and Harry didn’t like it. His shirt was thin and he was shivering from the cold. To take his mind off the lack of heat he started to think about earlier in the morning and then a sigh was automatically released from him. Harry decided to walk faster so he could just do his work and take his thoughts away from other, more important issues. He reached the corridor where the library was and started to walk down it when he felt someone pull him aside and shove him against the wall; gently, yet very powerfully.

He looked up to see warm grayish-blue eyes meet his own. He sighed and just looked back down to the floor but something inside of him told him to look up again at Draco. Harry felt the same thing that some how gave Draco the urge to push Harry up against the wall that they were currently at. “Harry…” Draco breathed out. Harry’s eyes widened. The two boys have done many passionate things but still had yet to call each other by their first names. Harry stared at those silver orbs, captivated, and replied “Draco…”. He didn’t respond but slowly lowered his head and brushed Harry’s lips with his own.

“I’m sorry.” Draco looked at the ground. Harry was confused for a moment, but then Draco finished his thought. “I’m sorry that we can’t understand this better.” Draco’s face was sorrowful and Harry wanted nothing more than to just hold him in his arms. But he couldn’t then. Right in the middle of the deserted corridor.

Harry looked around the hall, trying to find some sign that would lead him to a conclusion of what to do. But when Professor Dumbledore hired Angelo, he gave him strict orders just to tell them the scenario and let them figure the rest out. Draco was just staring at the floor, the grip on Harry getting looser and looser at every second. He was just so distraught over the whole ordeal. Harry looked at the blonde Slytherin again and lifted his head to kiss him gently. He didn’t need to have a sign anymore to know it was the right thing to do. The kiss wasn’t lust filled and passionate. It wasn’t a breathtaking one either. But it was the one with the most meaning and when they kissed they could feel it like an electric shock charging through their veins.

They stopped their kiss and Harry looked at Draco, and said, “I think I understand a little better now.” Draco, forcing a small smile, looked at Harry’s dark n eyn eyes and replied, “Me too.”

I look into your eyes before we kiss. I am starting to see a look of pure bliss. I have been trying to figure out what all of this means. But it really doesn’t matter as long as you are here with me.
