Chapter Eight
Sorry this chapter is short, I\'ll make it up to you in the upcoming chapters.
Chapter Eight
The following week Hermione sat at the Potter’s kitchen table talking with Ginny, while Katrina and Braeden were outside.
“So, I hear you met someone at the club last week?” Ginny smirked.
“Yes, I did. He reminds me so much of Draco. Maybe that’s why I was so attracted to him.” She pondered.
“Did you meet him the first night?”
“No. The second night. Ron and Lavender helped me through the first night of my cycle.”
Ginny smirked, “How so?”
“Well....let’s just say it was a first for me.”
“You mean, they both...?”
Hermione smiled, “Yes.”
“Wow. Was that the first time you and Ron were together?”
“No. The first time was in June. He helped me through a rough time. Made me feel something real.”
“So, why don’t you and Ron get together. He’s always liked you Hermione.” Ginny asked hopefully.
“Ginny, Ron and I, and Harry for that matter, are friends. That’s all. It’s too weird thinking of them any other way. Besides, I think Ron and Lavender are getting serious about each other.” Hermione said trying to stop Ginny from her well meaning match making efforts.
Just then Harry came through the door. “Back already Harry? How did the meeting at the Ministry go?” Ginny asked.
“It went okay. There’s some new recruits for Auror training, so we were going over the basics on stealth techniques.” He looked to them and smiled. “Did I interrupt anything?”
“No. Hermione was just telling me about the guy she met last week at the club.” Ginny replied.
Harry pulled out a chair and sat astride it, leaning his arms on the back, and smiled expectantly. “Oh, well let’s hear it then.”
“Well, his name is Chase. I don’t know his last name, but the two days we spent together were wonderful.” She started dreamily.
“What do you know about him?” Harry asked.
“Nothing much really. I feel he’s a good person, but it’s like he’s kng sng something hidden besides his last name. Mind you, with me, I was keeping that I’m a witch and have an eight year old daughter a secret. We didn’t want to discuss anything personal, just to live in the moment.”
“What does he look like? You said he reminded you of Draco.” Ginny asked, while Harry listened intently.
“Habouabout 6\'2\". Black hair that goes a bit past his shoulders, that was so soft to the touch. Green eyes that seemed to see right to my soul. And his body, made my mouth water.” She smiled thinking of said body.
“Why does he remind you of Draco though?” Harry asked.
“His body build is the same, he even has the nipple ring. Difference is that he had two scars, one on his shoulder and back, the other on his thigh.”
“Did he say how he got the scars?” Harry asked, Hermione looking at him questionably.
“No. I didn’t ask. We kept everything non-personal. Didn’t do too much talking. Next time, maybe I’ll ask.”
Ginny perked up at that last comment. “You’re going to see him again?”
“Yes. We arranged to meet in the same hotel, and the same room in June again.”
“Why not before then?” Ginny asked.
“He said he had things he needed to attend to. And I’m not sure yet I want to start any kind of relationship. June was good for both of us, and it is during one of my cycles and he is able to get away for a week without any problems.” She smiled. “We used each other for those days, he was my boy-toy.”
Ginny and Harry laughed. “Your boy-toy?” Ginny asked still chuckling.
“Yes, and he was great.” Hermione smiled, wiggling her eyebrow suggestively.
“So how long did your cycle last this time?” Harry asked still smiling but seriously asking.
“Three days, but the extra day Chase and I had was good too, just as intense.”
Harry seemed to ponder over her words. “This Chase guy, seems to have made you happy ‘Mione. Hope it works out for you.”
“Thanks Harry. I’m taking it one day at a time. So enough about my sex life. How is my favorite married couple doing these days?” She smiled.
Ginny looked to Harry and smiled. Harry leaned down to kiss her softly on the lips, then looked to Hermione. “Actually, it’s great, so great in fact that......we’re going to have another baby soon.”
“What?” Hermione jumped up and came around the table to hug them, smiling joyously. “That is such great news, when are you due Gin?”
“Sometime in July.” Ginny replied smiling.
“Have you told Braeden?” Hermione asked as she sat back down, still smiling at them.
“Yes. He wants to have a baby sister. He’s very happy about it. He’s already thinking up names for the baby, and keeping a list so he doesn’t forget.” Harry said smirking.
“I can just imagine.” Hermione replied.
Hermione and Katrina stayed the rest of the weekend, spending their time outdoors or trying to teach the kids Wizards Chess, which they seemed to grasp quite quickly. They came home after having a really good visit, feeling happy and relaxed.
