Nursing back to health.

Thanks to Eclectic Pet, she is an awesome Beta, any mistakes are on me.

Thanks to all who are rating, not trying to jinx it but reviews are apreciated. Do you like where this story is headed. MeAs speaking for myself; I like to surprise readers.

Ow, fuck he had come clean to her. He hadn't intended to, he'd been grooming her to fall into his trap, he wanted her desperately, but as he divulged, she wasn't well. Her body needed time to recover; her spirit needed healing time as well. When he submitted a woman, she had to do so with a sane  mind and  body. He rested an arm against the wall outside Rose flat. Fuck, fuck, fuck, he had grown attached to her, mentally as well as physically. A woman shouldn't be allowed to stir these feelings inside of him, he was in control… he always was. She even made him want to kiss her, he never kissed them, it was far too intimate. He kissed his whores; he could easily detach himself from them, kissing either intimate or a necessary evil. The girl behind the door made him want to care for her, seeing her hurting, craving him, was all-consuming. He felt out of control desiring her.

"Hello Mr. Malfoy!" A voice disturbed him in his thoughts. A woman, an older woman. Auburn curls, soft brown eyes.

"Scorpius isn't it?" She said holding her hand out for him to shake; he took her hand holding his lips above them instead of shaking he pressed a soft kiss on the outside of her hand, gazing in her amused eyes.

"Mrs. W..." He stated firmly.

"No, Hermione would be fine." Hermione interrupted, she chuckled. "Where you coming or going?" She asked.

"Leaving actually, your daughter needed to rest...” He said, turning on his heel leaving Rose's mother behind.

Hermione had to stifle her laughter, she'd seen him at the hospital the day before, and he had tried to avoid her, with no avail. Scorpius reminded her very much of Draco, she'd hated him when he was a boy, admiring his beauty all the same. Rose associating herself with a Malfoy, concerned her somewhat. Hermione would run into Astoria from time to time, as they frequented the same social circles and in a professional capacity.

Shame the war had broken Draco; he'd become a ghost of what he was back at Hogwarts. It seemed that Scorpius took more after his mother and grandfather for that matter. His posture had been austere and very cool; she had felt a coldness from him she didn't encounter a lot. An ominous feeling took hold of her.

Hermione knocked on Rose door, “sweetie it's mummy!" She said. The door opened as Rose let her wand open the door.

Hermione found her on her couch sipping a rather strange potion, or so she thought it was. A strong minty scent wafted over to her.

Rose was sitting propped up against the armrest of her couch; her eyes were tear struck and puffy.

Hermione rushed over to her, “Has he hurt you?"

Rose shook her head. "No mother, he hasn't! He was rather sweet; he made tea and brought a basket with food...." Rose voice faded out.

"I didn't know, you associated yourself with a Malfoy?!" Hermione sounded somewhat accusatory, more than she intended.

"Mum, don't give me that look! I'm twenty-two years old, cut the Death Eaters crap around me! Scorpius is a nice man! He's been very caring" Rose stifled a sob.

"Now, now, let me take care of my daughter, what have you gotten yourself into now? Huh! Take a seat over there in your chair; let me make your bed." Hermione took Rose’s mug from her and let her daughter sit in her club chair. Rose needed to get herself out of this studio flat. Hermione flicked her wand transfiguring Rose's couch into a comfy double bed. She fluffed the pillows so Rose could lie comfortably. This was no place for a girl like her. She could afford better, Rose’s living arrangements puzzled Hermione, and her job should provide her with more means.

"Now, scoot, up here." Hermione patted the throw on the bed, gesturing her daughter to lie down. Rose did as her mother asked. "We'll discuss, your job, living arrangements and boyfriend when you're better, huh!"

Rose wanted to argue the not-really-her-boyfriend, but thought she could use her energy wiser. Drifting into a dream filled with anxiety.

Hermione watched her firstborn drift into sleep. Her beautiful baby girl, scarred for life. Rose escaping into a dangerous job and boyfriend choice was upsetting to put it mildly.

Hermione stepped out of her daughters living quarters, retrieving her phone from her purse. She flicked through her contacts, ah, there it was, and she pressed her thumb on the nickname  wich was listed as her contact. She didn't need nosy eyes interfering with her affairs. Her job at the ministry was a snake pit, her minions tried to bump her out of office any chance they'd get. "Yes, Hi, I've just visited my daughter, we need to meet!" Hermione listened to the voice on the other side of the line, nodding, closing her eyes as she pinched the bridge of her nose. "Uhm, yes, lunch will do, our usual? Yes, I think we might have a problem on our hands; I'll discuss it when we meet up. Yes, see you in an hour!" Hermione tapped her phone, the screen turned black again. History didn't show this call; she’d adjusted the settings for this contact. She felt a bit elated; the person she was meeting always filled her with a large sense of anticipation, making her feel things she didn't want to share.

Rose woke up from an invigorating sleeping session, the mint tea had calmed her down sending her into a deep sleep, and Rose wondered if there had been anything else besides mint leafs. When she was in a right frame of mind she would've checked, somehow she trusted Scorpius not to harm her. Rose kicked her bedding from her body, stretching her sore ligaments. She needed to go to the auror gym to have her aching body massaged and start her fitness regime. Her muscles had been lying dormant for the last five days, they were trained to perform and endure extreme circumstances. This wasn't the first time she needed to pull herself from healing.

Rose ran her shower, stepping into the warm jet of water, soaking her curls. Massaging her herbal shampoo into her scalp, mmm she loved the scent it provided. She lathered herself with expensive shower foam. She had so much money in the bank; she didn't know what to do with it. Her mother’s voice came back to haunt her, she'd whined about her digs. Rose didn't care one bit how she lived; she wasn't here half the time. Why should she spent her hard-earned money on something she wasn't concerned about? Argh, her mother always did that, interfering with her affairs, she wanted to protect Rose, she was aware of that, but she needed to find her own purpose in life. Her parents being part of the Golden Trio made her want to fight her own battles, make her own choices.

Rose stepped out of the shower, rubbing herself dry, placing another towel around her wet curls. Picking her fresh sports underwear from her drawer, Scorpius mentioned he didn't like her sportswear, it sent a small doubt into her brain. She wanted to please him, but she was heading for the gym. She'd sort her underwear when she returned. The luxury paper bag from the shop still lay unopened in her drawer. She had her answer to his question; yes, she wanted him, badly. She'd do anything to please him; a sense of duty took hold of her, her duty to make the Silver Blond happy. His smile was that addictive. Pleasure tingled between her legs thinking about him.

Rose retrieved her sport kit, packing her sports-bag with her cargo pants and work gear.

The basket on her table made her curious at what Scorpius had left for her. She opened the top of the picnic basket. Several containers filled the space; she took the top container, something inside moved, like liquid sloshing around. She opened the lid as something delicious filled her nose. It was some kind of broth. Fresh bread wrapped in paper. She took it out of its wrapper, whole-wheat bread wafting towards her, making her salivate. Tapping the container with her wand, she placed in her back pocket. Casting a heating charm so she could eat the broth. Holding her wand once against the soup, trying to detect harmful elements, she found none, healing magic yes. Dark, no!

A black envelope caught her eyes. 'Rose' her name written with long swirly lettering. She retrieved the note inside. 'Hope, you'll feel well after consuming the broth I made, placing more nutritious foods I selected myself.' It was signed 'Scorpius'.

She ladled a large helping of soup into her bowl, carefully placing her spoon in the broth. It tasted absolutely heavenly. He cooked this himself?! The man held so many surprises.

Scorpius was in his offices as an owl delivered a note, he could feel who sent it. He felt excited, he'd given Rose an ultimatum, and she had to make up her mind what she wanted with him. Negotiating was off the table, a yes or no would be what he needed. He wanted her badly, deeply, but it had to be on his conditions, possessing her would be so great.

Rose thanked him for his thoughtfulness regarding the basket. Could she meet him sometime this week, she had an answer for him.

Scorpius smiled, he would take her to his club, he’d send her instructions regarding her clothes; she had to wear a specific kind of clothes. He sent an invitation to his best friend and his pet; inviting them to accompany him to the venue. Rose could show him what her answer was, publicly, if it was a no then he wouldn't be offended, she wanted him and his way of life or not. This was the deal-breaker.

There's a side chapter to this one. Which is just a bit of fun on my side, somehow these come popping up when writing the main story. Not entirely necessary to read them, they provide some background to the main characters. Any pairing can occur. Have fun.
