"So why do you need to go back to ancient Athens again?" Ron asked, looking at the space where Harry was setting up the ritual to, hopefully, send him back in time.
"I told you I had a vision of Voldemort discovering an ancient scroll with an immortality potion on it. He needs the ichor, the blood, of a God or Goddess and he also needed a golden apple from Hera's orchard, the Garden of the Hesperides which is where a single tree or a grove, no one really knows which, of immortality giving golden apples grow. If Voldemort gets those and makes that potion I doubt anyone will ever be able to stop him." Harry explained with a grave look on his face, remembering the information Hermione had drilled into him.
"I get that, but why do you need to go back in time? Why can't you just go there in the current time?" Ron asked.
"The Gods and Goddesses disappeared a long time ago, Ron. I think it's because as more scientific ideas and discoveries were made people just stopped praying to them and believing in them which probably caused them to slowly lose their powers and strength. I doubt they're alive anymore after all these years with very few, if any, people praying and worshipping them. If they are they're not letting anyone know who and what they really are."
"I wish you would take one of us with you, Harry. It's dangerous for you to go alone. Especially since we don't know how many of his followers Voldemort took with him. You could run into a whole group of them." Hermione said from her spot near the window where she was observing the sky.
"I know and that's why I'm going to try and approach one of the Gods or Goddesses for help. I think they'll be more than willing to help me or even take care of Voldemort themselves once they find out what he wants to do."
"Harry it's time. The full moon is at its highest point in the sky. It's now or you'll miss your chance until the next full moon."
Nodding, Harry moved to his spot while he slid his satchel of supplies over his shoulder.
"Remember, the return trip must be made in the same conditions; full moon at its highest and try to use the same place where you land as the place for your return."
"Alright. Be careful and stay safe while I"m gone." Harry said, closing his eyes as he felt the magic of the spell start wrapping around his ankles and it slowly worked its way up his body until it covered his eyes and his vision faded away.
He knew seconds later that he had been moved when he felt a gust of wind blow across his body. Opening his eyes, Harry instantly saw a pair of dark eyes staring at him from a long, black haired man with a goatee.
"Well that is interesting," The man said with a smirk on his face. "I think you have some things you need to tell me."

AN: I seem to be on an Avengers crossover kick right now. I have a lot of ideas for the prompts to write as Avengers crossovers. Lol. Anyway, I have a poll for you guys that will last about a week so if you could answer it I'd appreciate it. The poll will end on August 1st, 2013.
