Slave to the Phoenix
Introductions
Hermione sat on the floor, aided by a cushioning charm and leaned back against Draco's knee, as he gently stroked her hair. She was the only slave there and the only one dressed up. She figured that it was mainly due to the fact of the collaring ceremony that would take place after the meeting.
As members of the order of phoenix were still milling about, chatting and finding their seats as the meeting was about to begin, Hermione thought back to the introductions just a bit ago. She had met so many people, she wasn't sure if she could remember all their names.
There were certain ones though, she knew she wouldn't have a problem remembering. There was Mrs. Weasley, a rather plump cheerful woman, and her husband, who was balding, but seemed very kind, who was interested in all things muggle.
Then there were all their children, seven in total, the youngest, being the only girl. Her name was Ginny. Ginny was currently going steady with Harry Potter. It was expected that they would get married.
Harry Potter was a nice boy around Hermione's age. He looked quite a bit like his father, with messy brown hair. His father was a bit cocky, according to Hermione. Harry's mother, she would end up finding out later, was killed by Voldemort. His father almost died as well, being on the brink of death himself.
Next in the Weasley line was Ron, the youngest boy. He seemed a bit stubborn, often spoke before thinking and he loved food, but he was loyal and stood up for his friends. He was dating a girl named Lavender who, Ginny told Hermione in secret, was the reason blonde jokes were invented.
Speaking of jokes, that brought up the next pair. Yes, a pair of rambunctious, laughing, teasing, joke loving twins. Fred and George wanted to open a joke shop and were doing odd jobs for the Potters to make and save up money to start their business.
The three other Weasley boys, Bill, Charlie, and Percy, she would remember well too. But she would end up meeting them some other time as they were currently on a mission for the order.
Hermione's attention was drawn back to the chatter as Peter Pettigrew and James were arguing about which quidditch team were going to the World Cup. She couldn't hold back shiver of disgust. If there was one person here she didn't want to meet, it was Peter Pettigrew. His eyes had leered at her during their introduction, and she was very thankful he hadn't recognized her from the slave camp. Of course back then, she had just begun her training as a pleasure slave, and hadn't fully developed into the young woman she was now. She wondered vaguely why his current slave wasn't with him, unless she was dead already, or maybe he just didn't take her anywhere. More than likely though, the slave was no more. Hermione forced her thoughts away from him at the moment, though she vowed ask her masters about it later.
She then glanced over to where Remus was talking candidly to woman whose name was Nymphadora, or Tonks for short. Hermione quite liked her. Tonks was a metamorphmagus and could change her appearance at will. Apparently she and Remus had been an item at one time, but they had eventually decided they were better off as friends.
A strong voice then spoke, calling the meeting to order. He was known as Mad Eye Moody. Mad Eye or Alastor was a tall man, had rough and scarred face, grey and grizzled hair, and a wooden leg. His most interesting feature however was his eyes. One was small and dark while the other was a vivid electric blue color and magical. The eye could see through invisibility cloaks, objects and through the back of his head. He probably excelled at the game eye spy, Hermione thought to herself and giggled silently at her rather stupid pun. A couple of years ago he was locked away in a trunk while some man impersonated him. Apparently the man was trying to find out secret information about Albus Dumbledore, the Headmaster of Hogwarts at the time. That occurrence just made Mad Eye more paranoid than he already had been.
Hermione sipped at the glass of water that had just been handed to her as the meeting began.
