Ch.8 chocolate and orchids’
“Draco, you like orchids don’t you?” Harry asked as the blonde in question opened his eyes blurrily. “Yeah, why” Draco asked in return as he sat up in bed, rubbing his eyes. “Your rooms filled with them. I didn’t see them last night, but even your silk sheets smell like them.” Harry said, a soft laugh fluttering in his voice. Draco blushed and looked up at Harry.
Harry smiled down at Draco, and leaned down to plant a small kiss on his forehead. “Baby, did you know that Valentines Day is in 2 weeks?” Harry asked Draco as he wrapped his arms around the slender boy. “Really!” Draco asked, surprised. “Yep, and you already have plans” Harry continued, ending with a soft kiss on Draco’s nose. “I do?” “Yep”
Harry slid out of the bed and walked towards the bathroom. “Breakfast is in an hour, and we need to shower… are you coming?” He asked, turning back to look at Draco. Draco blushed and climbed out of the bed too. “Yeah, I’m coming.”

Valentines day
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Draco ran down the great spiral stair case, more excited then he had been in years. Harry had told him to meet him at the one eyed witch. Draco jumped the last couple of steps and landed running at the base of the stairs. He swerved around a group of third years and ducked around a corner, causing him to run head first into Harry.
"Harry!" Draco yelled as he looked up at the boy. "Hi Draco, sweetie." Harry twitted as he bent down to kiss Draco’s cheek. "Let me finish this and we can go." Harry said, showing Draco the box of pink and red decorations. "What are those?" Draco asked, inspecting the box. Harry laughed, and slightly blushed. "Pansy asked me to bring them to her; it seems she's doing something special for Blaize." Draco grinned at Harry's discomfort at being caught assisting his boyfriends best friend.
"Alright Harry, but hurry up, I can't wait to see what you've got planed for me." Draco gushed. Harry chuckled and walked off to the Slytherin dungeon. No more then 5 minuets had passed when Harry came bounding into the hall way again. "Alright, are you ready to go?" Harry asked, pulling Draco into his arms. Draco nodded his head vigorously and hugged Harry back. Harry smiled warmly at Draco and released him. Grabbing his hand, Harry pulled Draco behind him, towards the Oak doors.
The trip to Hogsmeade passed in no time at all. Harry and Draco babbled to each other about everything and nothing, on their way down the cobblestone street, which would take them to Harry’s planed date. Harry lead Draco down another alley way and stopped in front of a small café. “We’re here.” Harry stated.
Draco looked up at the small café. It was very quaint. “Harry, how do you know about this place?” Draco asked as Harry ushered him in through the door. “Oh, well….you see. This is the place I had my first date with Cho Chang… back in 4th year. I just thought it would be the best place for our first date… I hope you don’t mind that I’ve been here before.”
“Its ok Harry, as long as you’re here with me and no one else, it’s perfect.” Draco smiled and stood on tiptoe to kiss Harry’s lips. Harry smiled into the kiss then pulled away, and pulled Draco the rest of the way into the café. Harry quickly scoped the café out and found the booth he had reserved in the back.
“Draco, that’s our table, why don’t you go sit down while I get our drinks. Is rose blossom tea good for you?” Harry asked. “Yep, sounds great.” Draco replied and bounced off to their booth. Harry beamed after the blonde boy.
Noticing a customer the waitress walked over to Harry. “Excuse me, how may I help you?” she asked. Harry turned to her, smiling. “I’d like two cups of rose blossom tea, and could you please inform Mrs. Welsh that table 13 is here?” Harry asked. The woman nodded and went to retrieve his order.
Harry made his way to his table and sat down across from Draco. “This place is so nice Harry.” Draco said, marveling at a cupid flying around the room. Harry leaned across the table and kissed Draco gently.
The waitress cleared her throat and laughed lightly as Draco pulled away red in the face. “Here’s your tea.” She said, setting a white tray down on the table. “- and Mrs. Welsh told me to give you this.” She placed a tray of mixed chocolates on the table. “Enjoy” She said brightly and briskly walked away.
“Ooo chocolate!” Draco almost yelled as he reached for the plate of assorted chocolates. Harry snatched up the plate and pulled them out of Draco’s reach. “Not so fast, you’ll have to wait before you get to eat these.” Harry said teasingly. Draco pouted as he tried to reach for the plate again.
“Ah, ah, ahhh.” Harry chimed as he placed the plate next to him on his bench-like seat. “Just wait Drakey-poo; it’ll make the chocolate taste so much better.” Harry laughed, covering his teacup with his hand in an attempt to save it froman on pour of confetti. Draco pouted once more but conceded to Harry’s control of his favorite dessert.
The date continued smoothly with limited distractions, Draco and Harry tried many different teas and an assortment of cookies. Hours had passed before Harry pulled the chocolates out and placed them on the table. “Draco, you can have one now.” Harry whispered as he grabbed a white Hazelnut chocolate piece. Draco’s face light up in excitement as he reached for the plate, but pulled his hand back as Harry moved the chocolate piece towards him.
Draco grinned and opened his mouth. Harry in turn smiled and placed the dessert gingerly in his mouth. The taste was luscious; it was the most delicious chocolate Draco had ever tasted, and he wanted more.
Draco reached for the plate once more and growled venomously as Harry moved the plate a second time. “I have something even better for you, dear.” Harry said, stressing the word ‘dear’. Draco looked expectantly at Harry.
Harry chuckled and pulled his wand out. “Hold on one second.” Harry said as he tapped his teacup with his wand. A pink light erupted around the cup and seconds later the waitress was standing next to their table. “We’re ready for the second part.” Harry said to her. She nodded her head and hurried off again.
Draco stared at Harry, a bit confused. Seeing Draco’s skeptical stare Harry laughed “It’ll be good, don’t worry. You’ll like it.” “Here you go.” The waitress announced on her return. She handed Harry a small white box and scurried off again.
Harry smiled and handed the box to Draco “Open it.” Harry said, encouragingly. Draco slowly removed the embroidered lid and gasped. Once the lid was off thousands and thousands of Orchids began flying from the little box, filling the booth and creating an orb around them. Draco gaped at the sphere of Orchids surrounding them. “Harry, this is so amazing.”Draco chocked out as he launched himself across the table to kiss Harry.
After a minute of kissing Harry pulled away and asked “Do you want the last of the chocolates now?” Draco smiled an award-winning smile and began eating the other 17 chocolates’.
Harry picked up the last chocolate piece, which granted him a glare, and popped it into his mouth. Draco leaned forward and kissed Harry hungrily. Harry smiled into the kiss and began to kiss back. They continued like this until Draco pulled away for air.
Harry smiled, lovingly at Draco, his very essence glowing from his love. “Draco, I have one last thing for you.” Draco sat up a bit and leaned back to see Harry fully. “And what would that be?” Draco asked. Harry nervously pulled a green satin box from his jeans pocket. “Draco, when we graduate… will you spend your life with me?” Harry timidly asked as he opened the green box to reveal a glimmering sliver ring encrusted with opals diamonds and jade.
Draco gasped and captured Harry’s lips once more. “Yes Harry, Yes.” Draco breathed out as he broke the kiss. Harry smiled brightly and grasped Draco’s hand, then slowly slid the ring onto his left ring finger. Suddenly, as if meaning to break the mood, Harry’s wristwatch went off. Harry grumbled and checked the time. “Oh my… it’s already midnight, we need to be getting back.” Harry tapped the white box and the Orchids rushed back into it and the lid flew back on. Harry placed some money on the table and pocketed the white box as he grabbed Draco’s hand. “My room or yours?” He asked Draco. “Yours” Draco sighed as the feeling of apparition took over his body.
