Let is Snow
The Reason for the Season:
Chapter Eight: Let is Snow.
Draco would not relinquish her lips, even as he lifted her up and cradled her to his chest. Hermione’s arms wrapped around his shoulders, one hand slipping into his pale locks and gently running her nails over his scalp.
He growled in the back of his throat, tightened his hold on her and apparated them into his bedchamber.
“There is something I need to tell you.” He whispered against her ear as he carried her over to his bed and sat down with her on his lap.
“Yes?” she said as she nuzzled her nose to his neck, taking in his warm, masculine scent.
“I think…I know, I love you.” He said leaning back to look into her eyes.
“Draco,” she started.
“I know it is really sudden, and probably to soon, but I had to tell you…”
“Darling,” she tried again.
“You don’t have to say it back or anything…”
“I love you too!” she finally got out “even if you are a babbling ferret.” She laughed and kissed him.
He pulled back from the kiss “You do?”
“Yes, I am not sure when I knew it, but I know I love you, truly.” She looked into his handsome face, brushing back his soft hair from his eyes.
He kissed her palm and pulled her as tight to him as possible, and then suddenly he was still.
“Did you call me a babbling ferret?” his voice half shock half laugh.
“If the shoe fits…” she trailed off, pulling at his hunter green tie.
“Oh you are going to pay for that one.” He promised as his hands wandered up the zipper at the back of her dress.
“Oh am I?” she asked a little breathless from the way he was looking at her, as if she was the most precious gift in the world.
“Yes, but later, I want to unwrapped you first.” He said taking her earlobe between his lips.
“Do I get to unwrap you as well?” she asked her fingers already at the buttons of his starched shirt.
“Please do.” He offered as he unzipped her and laid her back onto his bed.
She looked beautiful; her long curly hair was spread over his dark green bedding, her eyes sparkled with gold and her lips were rosy from his kisses.
He was a very lucky wizard.
He sat up and began to slowly tug at the sleeves, bearing her inch by inch to his gaze. Her cream-colored bra came into view, holding her plump, firm breast within satin and lace. Next her ribcage and stomach, then the edge of her cream knickers, complete with little red bow.
Now that was going to be a present to unwrap!
He pulled the dress all the way off and admired her in all her splendor, he leaned forward and trailed kissed from her collar, down between the valley of her breast, over her slightly rounded tummy. He ended his little path by taking that little bow between his teeth and giving it a little tug.
By now Hermione was a quivering mess.
“Draco…”she moaned out.
He loved the sound of his name coming from her sweet mouth, so desperate and needy for his touch, and his alone.
“Yes my love?” he asked kissing his way back up, his hands slipping beneath her to unclasp her bra.
“You have on too many clothes.” She complained.
She sucked in a breath as his lips latched onto one of her rose tipped breasts.
He smiled around the bud as he flicked it with his tongue, making her back arch.
With a wave of his hand all clothing was gone.
“That is a useful talent.” Hermione observed as she slid her hands down his bare chest and up around his back.
“Trust me, I am talented in many other ways as well.”
“Care to show me?” she teased as she pinched his gorgeous bum.
“Oh, you have no idea how much,” he answered pushing her legs apart and slipping a finger into her hot, wet folds.
“Merlin…” he groaned feeling just how ready she was for him.
“Draco…more please, stop teasing me.” She pleaded.
“As my lady wishes.” And he filled her in one swift thrust.
**
Hours later, they were curled together under the covers. Draco was in his sleep pants and Hermione in one of his old quidditch shirts. He thought it looked far better on her, then it has ever looked on him.
The balcony curtains were open and they watched the snow still falling.
“Draco?”
“Yes love?”
“Are you going to speak to your father, about Adina?” she asked.
“Not until after the New Year. I want to enjoy my new little family before we deal with Lucius.”
She nodded resting her head against his chest and listened to his steady heartbeat, not entirely sure how she had ended up there, but very grateful that she had. As she felt her eyelids start to fall she smiled to herself and cuddled closer to her love, letting sleep take her.
Draco felt her tumble into sleep. Her deep even breath ghosted across his chest, over his heart that had never felt so full. He laid a kiss on her forehead and followed her into the land of dreams.
**
Morning brought bright sunlight glinting of the snow-blanketed grounds. But that wasn’t what woke Draco from his sleep. It was a light tugging on his hand. He slowly opened his eyes to see his sister, in her pink nightdress, standing next to the bed.
He smiled and lifted the covers and she scrambled in next to him.
“Good morning Princess.” He kissed her cheek.
“Good Morning.” She returned tucking her head under his chin.
Hermione had woken up the second the door at creaked up and Adina has slipped in. She was much quieter then her nephews, but very few people could sneak past her.
She couldn’t help but smile as she rolled over to watch the new siblings interact. It was as if they hadn’t missed a day together since Adina was born seven years ago.
She slid her hand over Draco's side and around to tug gently one of Adina’s blonde curls.
The little girl smiled at Hermione and reached up to hold her hand. Hermione entwined her larger fingers with Adina’s little ones.
“So who wants to go play in the snow?” Hermione asked her smile matching the one that grew on the girls face.
“I do!” she squealed.
“Why don’t you go and get dressed, then we will have some breakfast, and then make some snow angels.”
She was off like a shot, calling for peas-blossom as her tiny feet carried her up the hall.
“Snow angels?” Draco questioned as he slid from beneath the duvet, pulling Hermione up with him.
“Oh yes, the snow is perfect.” She smiled as he kissed her neck.
**
After a good breakfast, and a bit of a struggle to pull on the layers of extra clothes, the trio was prepared for the elements.
The girls dashed out into the snow throwing themselves onto the white abyss. Laughing, they waved their limbs to make their angels.
Draco watched and laughed.
“You have to make one too you know.” Hermione said.
“Yes Draco, make an angel.” His sister said.
“Never been much of an angel.” Draco returned looking a little said as he spoke.
“You’re my angel.” Adina said, her bright eyes sparkling up at him with pure adoration and love.
He felt his chest tighten, and hoped his sister could read the emotion in his eyes as he kneeled down in the snow next to her.
“No, you are my little angel.”
**
Next it was time to build a snowmen family, which was never finished as a snowball fight erupted.
Draco was determined to get revenge for the ferret comment.
He had cornered Hermione by the side of the greenhouse.
“Surrender Granger, you have no place to run.”
“Never Malfoy” she said looking around for some means of escape. Then she thought,
‘I don’t need to escape I need to surprise and distract.’
Suddenly she charged straight at Draco wrapping her arms around is neck and kissing him.
Shocked he dropped the giant snowball he had been threatening her with.
Once he had done that Hermione was off at full speed back to the house where Adina was waiting with the door open. She dashed inside and closed it just as Draco got close.
The two girls were smiling and waving at his pouting face through the glass.
**
After cocoa and a bit of warming up by the fire, Adina was asleep, her head pillowed on Hermione’s lap and her feet on Draco’s.
“I am still in awe. I am such a lucky wizard.” Draco said, rubbing his sisters feet, which were wrapped up warm, in fuzzy pink socks.
“Yes you are Draco.” Hermione agreed. “You two will be at my cottage tomorrow night right?”
“Of course we will, what time should we be there?”
“Around four, that’s when I start the movie.”
“Movie?”
“Indeed, and the night ends with my very dramatic retelling of the “The Night before Christmas.” She explained.
“Sounds perfect,” he leaned over and kissed her, he would never tire of her sweet lips.
