The Kiss

Albus and Scorpius woke up early the next morning. "Good morning." Scorpius grinned at his boyfriend.

"'Morning. Been up long?" Al stretched.

"I haven't. But we did miss dinner last night and I don't know if anyone knows anything. And, we did wake up with a blanket over us."

"And that wasn't there last night. I wonder who it was?"

"Albus? Scorpius? Are you awake?"

"Grandma?"

"Oh good." Narcissa walked into the room. "Sleep well?" She asked, completely unconcerned with them both laying on the bed together.

"We did." Scorpius said.

"Good. Well, you're lucky it was me who came up to call you for dinner. Your fathers think that Scorpius refused to leave your side, Albus, yesterday and you both just fell asleep. As for the truth, I leave that up to the two of you to decide when to tell them. And how for that matter." She told them both. "In the meantime, I suggest you get up. You wouldn't want to linger in bed too long or they may get worried." With that, she left the two of them on their own.

"So, am I to assume that your grandma's the one who covered us with the blanket, then?" Al looked over at his boyfriend.

"It would seem that way, yes."

For most of the day, Albus and Scorpius were left on their own. Instead of going flying, they spent the day inside. Usually, they were found just talking quietly together.

Sometime after lunch, Draco went looking for the two boys. They were found in Albus' room. Al was laying back against the pillows, spread-eagle, and Scorpius was laying on top of him, snogging the daylights out of him, by the looks of things. Quickly, and as quietly as he could, Draco closed the door.

For no reason, that Draco would admit, he couldn't help but notice how much his son looked like him and how much Albus looked like Harry. It had been like seeing himself with Harry on that bed.

"Hey Draco." Oh gods, not now. "What's going on?"

"I was just wondering what the boys were up to." Draco said, refusing to look away from the carpet.

"Is everything okay?"

"Yep. Why wouldn't it be?"

"No reason. You just seem kinda tense, that's all." Harry was quiet a moment. "Is something bothering you, Draco?"

"Nope, nothing." Draco shook his head, still looking down.

"So, what's so interesting about your carpet? Surely you've seen it before?"

"Of course I have!" Draco lifted his face to glare at Harry. Immediately, the glare left his face as he remembered what he'd seen in the other room and how much it looked like him and Harry. Losing all impulse control, Draco pushed Harry against the wall and crushed their lips together. When Harry started kissing back and had placed his hands on Draco's hips, the blonde seemed to remember what was going on.

He backed away from Harry, eyes wide, and ran off. He hurried down the hall and practically threw himself into his room. He locked the door with the strongest locking spell he could manage and flung himself onto his bed. "Gods, I can't believe I just did that! Stupid, stupid, stupid." He flung his head back against the mattress multiple times.

"Damn it!"

"I told you, Narcissa. They're both incredibly stubborn, trust me, I know. You didn't honestly believe it would be that easy?"

"Of course not, Severus." She whipped around to face the ghost sitting on her bed. "But I had hoped that my son wouldn't run off like a scared Hufflepuff!"

"My dear, you have to be patient with them. Extremely patient. You're the one who wanted to do this, remember? I told you that getting Scorpius and Albus together was one thing, and rather easy, but that Draco and Harry are completely different. There's a large, hateful past behind them and you have to get them to work through that first."

"But they have."

"They haven't. They're ignoring it for their sons. They haven't spoken about any of it. I have every confidence in you, Cissy. You are a Malfoy, a Black, a Slytherin, and as cunning as they come so I have little doubt that you will manage this. But you have to give them more time." Severus stressed before disappearing.

"Why does he do that? Just disappear like that." Narcissa sighed. "Fine Severus, I'll give them more time." She said to the room around her.

Harry, meanwhile, was standing stock-still where Draco had left him. "What the hell just happened?" He asked aloud. Slowly, he walked to his own room, closed the door, and lay back on his own bed. "What was that? And why did I even kiss him back?! What's wrong with me?" He demanded of the empty room.

Almost simultaneously, the two of them decided to ignore the kiss and try to stay away from each other as much as they could.

"Dad?"

"Yeah, Al?" Harry called back.

"What's up?"

"Nothing, just thinking."

"Don't think too much, Dad. You always end up depressing yourself when that happens. Anyway, Narcissa says that dinner's ready." Together, the two Potters went down to the dining room where their hosts were already sitting.

Dinner was a relatively quiet affair. Narcissa was making most of the conversation, usually with Scorpius or Albus as both Draco and Harry seemed intent on remaining silent or speaking as little as possible.

Harry went to bed that night, dreams of the kiss he'd shared with Draco dancing through his head.

A/N: I know that this is short compared to the others, but I wanted to get it out quick. I probably won't have much time the rest of the week to complete another chapter, but I WILL get it out by this weekend. Also, I've decided to include Severus more, as some of you have said that you like him and would like him to be in it more.
