Chapter Eight

Remus Lupin walked slowly back to his office, kneading his forehead with his hand in a useless attempt to rid himself of the headache. He supposed he would have to call an Order meeting to discuss the latest developments, but did not know how he would be able to explain everything that had happened.

Grateful for the peace for the meantime, he entered his silent office and began searching in his desk for a pain potion; he always kept some on hand for use after the pain of transformation. No sooner had he swallowed it down though than there came a call from the fireplace. Sighing, he glanced over and was surprised to see Lucius Malfoy’s face there. “Lucius, is everything well?” he asked, struggling to conceal his instant fear for Lexy’s safety.

Lucius chuckled, his amusement apparent. “I haven’t murdered or especially tortured my fiancée, Lupin, never fear.” Remus felt a shiver down his spine due to the use of the word ‘especially’, but let Lucius continue. “No, I need a favour from you as it happens.”

“What can I do for you?” Remus asked, intrigued despite his concern.

Lucius frowned, and looked over his shoulder before leaning further into the fireplace. “To be honest, Lupin, I would rather discuss it here at the manor, if you have no objections. It is something of a private matter.”

There was no chance that Remus would turn down a visit to Malfoy Manor; opportunities to check upon Lexy would be few and far between until she returned to Hogwarts. “When would you like me to arrive?” he asked mildly.

“As soon as possible if you would. I wish to resolve this situation without delay.”

“Fortunately, I have no prior engagement for today so I shall leave immediately, Lucius.”

“Thank you, Lupin.” Stunned to receive such a rare acknowledgement from the wizard, Remus made his way out of the school to Apparate. It was with some trepidation that Remus debated what in Merlin’s name Lucius was up to.

Lucius had woken that morning feeling content, a feeling he had not had in a long time. Lexy was still sleeping deeply, and he decided to order her a breakfast in bed before resuming her incarceration in the dungeons. Quietly, he summoned Mobby and had the breakfast brought up on a silver tray before spooning his body around Lexy’s. Gently, he began to caress her bare skin, running his smooth fingers across her face and neck, and she woke slowly with a soft smile on her face. “Good morning, princess,” he whispered into her ear. Instinctively, she tensed upon feeling the close bodily contact, but began to relax when he made no further move.

“Good morning, Lucius,” she replied, the whole situation feeling entirely surreal. “Did you sleep well?”

“Much better when I had you here,” he said sincerely. “I presumed that you must be hungry, so I took the liberty of having a full breakfast prepared for you and brought here. May I fetch it for you?”

“I would appreciate that, Lucius. Thank you.” Lucius reluctantly pulled himself away as Lexy sat up in the bed, and he shuddered as the sheets fell down to reveal her full breasts. Biting his lip, he climbed out of the bed, snatching up his robe to cover his instant erection and placed the tray on the bed.

“I… I think I need to go and take a shower,” he said huskily.

Still half-asleep, Lexy did not catch his meaning, and stretched out as she began to awaken, unintentionally pushing her breasts forward, barely covering her opened mouth with her hand. Confronted with the undeniably erotic vision in front of him, Lucius abandoned his plan for the cold shower and dove back into the bed, sending the tray flying. Lexy shrank back from the unadulterated lust in his eyes, but he was too fast for her, and pinned her down to the bed. “Allow me to make love to you, Lexy, I am begging you,” he said hoarsely, fire in his eyes. “My desire for you is more than I can bear without satisfaction.”

Desperately, she tried to wriggle free, in her naivety not realising that she was merely arousing him even more. However, her heart was not entirely in it; despite her head trying to overrule her more natural instincts, she could not deny that she was aroused. She certainly found Lucius extremely attractive with his tall, muscular build and shining long blond hair, and Lexy most definitely wanted to experience sex. Nonetheless, she was Sorted into Ravenclaw for a reason. She realised that if she were to give in so easily, it would set an unwelcome precedence for their marriage. Lucius Malfoy needed to realise that she was not weak, and would be able to stand her ground. If not, she would lose whatever self-respect she managed to retain. “We had an agreement,” she retorted, her breath catching.

Lucius did not miss her physical reaction and the way it belied her words, and he groaned again. “Why deny us both such pleasure?” he demanded.

Lexy stared up into his eyes, returning his red hot glare. “We… we had an agreement,” she repeated weakly, unsure of how much longer she could hold out.

Lucius moaned, his erection now becoming painful. “Will you at least allow me to kiss you and prove my desire to you? Please, princess!” he asked brokenly.

Unable to resist any longer, she nodded. With a deep growl of triumph, Lucius lowered himself onto her, his erection pressing against her stomach, and passionately pressed his lips onto hers, hungrily pushing them open with his tongue and probing the inside of her mouth. Lexy’s head was spinning; she had never been kissed like this before. The innocent teenage fumblings of years past were nothing compared to this. She arched her back against him, moaning and returning his fervour. He pulled away and looked intensely into her eyes before moving his lips to her neck, sucking and gently biting at it. Lexy writhed underneath him as he shuddered, dangerously close to his orgasm already.

“If we continue any further, I will not be able to hold back no matter how much you protest,” Lucius muttered almost incoherently, his breathing ragged.

Still trembling, Lexy gazed up at him, her eyes wide. “Are you alright, Lucius?” she asked hesitantly.

“For Merlin’s sake, Lexy, I am on the brink of orgasming and am barely holding myself back. No, I am not alright!” he spat.

Lexy took a deep breath before replying. “Can I help?” she asked quietly, half-hoping he would not hear her.

Lucius groaned and rolled onto his back. “Give me your hand,” he said, his eyes half-lidded and darkened with pleasure. She did as he said, and he wrapped it around his cock, slowly pumping it up and down the length before letting go and letting her continue, grasping hold of her around the waist instead. Lexy was rather enjoying the feeling of power she held over Lucius at that moment, and the fact that she was clearly bringing him such pleasure. She rubbed her finger over the head of his cock and he swore, his entire body tensing up, and when she cupped his balls in her hand speculatively, they tensed up and he came powerfully, crying her name with a deep guttural moan as his seed spurted out.

A minute or so passed where Lucius lay on the bed shaking before he rose and kissed Lexy deeply and tenderly. “Thank you, princess. That was exquisite. I promise you, when you allow me to return the favour, you will never ever feel anything quite like it.”

“It was… I mean, was I…” she trailed off nervously.

“Darling, I promise you, you were wonderful. I cannot wait to show you just how spectacular our sex life is going to be. In fact…” he said hopefully, but Lexy scrambled out of the bed.

“No, Lucius. I have already conceded more than I wanted to,” she said firmly.

He snarled, his energy clearly returned to him. “Very well, straight to the dungeons it is then, Lexy.”

“That was the agreement,” she said coolly as he picked her up and threw her over his shoulder, clearly displeased by her lack of protest. They did not have any further conversation, and Lucius flung her into the corner of the dungeon and swept out of the door, warding it again meticulously.

Lucius left her without looking back and went to the study to fire call Remus Lupin. He would be damned if he had to wait much longer; the plans would have to be set in motion immediately.

Remus arrived promptly at the manor; not ten minutes had passed since he had spoken to Lucius. To his relief, he was greeted at the door by the Death Eater, and they shook hands. “What in Merlin’s name has happened since yesterday then, Lucius?” he asked casually.

To his surprise, Lucius sighed. “You are the only one I can trust to help me in this matter, Lupin. I swear now, if you let me down, your life will not be worth living,” he said threateningly.

“I will do my best,” Remus replied soberly.

“I believe you. We are to pay a visit to Avery today,” Lucius said abruptly.

“Avery? Why on earth do we need to go to him?”

“He has something that I need to get what I want,” Lucius replied evasively.

Remus’ temper finally reached breaking point. “Damn it, Lucius, you will be upfront with me or you will forfeit my help!” he shouted.

Lucius nodded approvingly. “Yes, keep that temper to the forefront; I do not doubt that it will come in useful today. Come on in, then, and I shall reveal my plans to you.”

They moved through the manor to the main study, exchanging no words. Lucius paused before they entered the room and called for a house elf. One popped up before him, wringing its hands nervously. “I will need the master bedroom cleaning, Tobey. Once you have done that, you will take Miss Beaumont a solitary glass of water, and inform her that that will be all she is given until I retrieve her tonight. You can Apparate past my locking wards, I believe?” The house elf nodded and disappeared to fulfil its tasks, and they moved into the study.

Remus’ heart sped up in his chest; clearly, he had been wrong in his assumption that Lexy was being treated well. “You cannot be separated from Miss Beaumont already, surely?” he asked, his eyebrows raised.

“We have come to an arrangement,” Lucius said smoothly, sitting down behind the desk. “Lexy refuses to formally accept my proposal until I provide her with something she desires, and she has rejected everything that goes along with it. Thus, she is spending the days in the dungeons until she acquiesces.”

“That is your arrangement?” Remus asked, stunned. “And what does Miss Beaumont desire so fervently that made her agree to those terms?”

“Her brother,” Lucius replied coolly, waiting for his words to sink in; he knew that Remus had been in the Order, and doubtless believed the child dead as well.

Of all the things Remus had been expecting to hear, this had been the last of them. “But Lucius – that’s impossible,” he stated, frowning. “The child was kidnapped by… oh…” he trailed off, comprehension dawning. Desperately, he fought down the anger that was yet again rising. “You know what happened to the child,” he said accusingly.

“Of course I do, I was one of the ones who took him,” he replied dismissively. “Contrary to popular belief, though, he wasn’t murdered. He is being brought up by Avery and his wife.”

Remus was stunned. Hugo and Victoria had died holding the false belief that their only son was dead, and Lexy… “Miss Beaumont now knows, I presume?”

“Yes, I told her hoping that she would trust me more,” Lucius said languidly, leaning back in his chair. “I am sure that she realises there is some deception there. However, fortunately for me, she is willing to do anything to get her brother back, including giving herself wholly to me.”

“It seems a lot of effort to go to when you already have her at your mercy, Lucius. Why not just use the Imperius curse and force her to marry you? I can’t say that I don’t believe you capable of it,” Remus asked, genuinely bemused.

Lucius chuckled. “Yes, that is the easier option. However, I would rather cover all my bases. Our master may believe himself to be immortal, but I am not willing to take that risk. Should he fall from power, a forced marriage could easily be dissolved by a law abiding government. If Lexy gives herself to me willingly, we are bound for life. I am prepared to wait that little bit longer and work a bit harder for that guarantee.”

Remus was torn. He could refuse to help Lucius deceive Lexy that way, but he would be unable to tell Lexy the truth, and that would leave the poor child where he was. He simply could not do it; his conscience would not let the young boy suffer so. It seemed his only option was to assist Lucius to return the child to Lexy’s care, let the marriage go ahead and try to come up with an alternative plan with Lexy when she returned to Hogwarts. At least that way Will would be safer and Lexy would at least have some happiness in her life, as opposed to being constantly held under the Imperius curse. He sighed, resigned. “When do we go, Lucius?”
