Last Author's Note...I swear
Hello Readers!
First off, I must thank luvhp for helping me out with the final chapter. I told you it was probably just me and my issues with technology. Regardless, it is up, all thanks to her and I can’t thank her enough!
Second, with this fic and the surprise ending, I usually get one of two types of reviews once readers have finished the story. One, they say Narcissa is sneaky and brilliant and love her and leave it there. Two, they often ask if the affection between Draco and Hermione is genuine, or just potion educed love.
When I wrote this fic, surprise ending included, I knew there was a chance that this issue would come up. The questioning of the level of genuine feelings is inevitable.
That in mind, I specifically mentioned in the story that it was a lust potion with the intent of answering this question. I assure you, Draco and Hermione were very much in love (if not when they first arrived at the Manor, then certainly by the time they left). Narcissa, being the sneaky and perceptive witch she is, noticed the potential for love immediately when Draco and Hermione arrived at the Manor. She quickly decided to give them a lust potion, hoping their lust for one another would help them move past their hatred and into something that she thought would make them both happy.
Basically, your worries can be silenced. I can assure you that Draco and Hermione are very much in love and their affection toward one another is certainly genuine and will last a long time.
That brings me to the final issue I wish to discuss.
Sequel Potential.
I have started writing a sequel. It’s about half way done but that doesn’t mean much until it is completed and has faced my proofreading fettish—Regardless, it could be a while before I am even considering putting it up.
As for other stories, I have one that I really love of mine that is done, but it is incredibly similar to The Challenge, seeing as I wrote it shortly after this one was done to put off the dooming task of writing a sequel. I have other stories that I could put up, but that particular one is my favorite. I’m just concerned it is too like this one. Regardless of its similarities to this fic, A Drunken Man’s Word is quite possibly my second favorite of all the stories I have written (coming behind only The Challenge, of course). So, if you’d like to see a bit of A Drunken Man’s Word, email me your opinion on whether or not to post it at patiencetakestyme@yahoo.com.
Let’s see, I do believe I have covered everything in a much longer fashion than I had originally intended. I’m sorry for my long windedness; I get like that sometimes.
Anyway, thank you all for reading and reviewing! I hope you like it!
Until the next time I post,
~Patience Tyme
