Chapter Eight
Harry woke before his alarm went off and stretched. It was 4:20 AM pacific standard time. He switched the alarm off so that it wouldn’t disturb anyone later, and went to his exercise room to begin his morning routine. after his shower he sat out on his deck and looked out on the ocean as he sipped his tea. It was chilly, but after his strenuous exercise and hot shower he didn’t mind. Kurt and Sandy woke a couple of hours later and passed him on the way to the beach for their morning run. He made breakfast while they were gone and coffee for his American friends. They didn’t really understand the beauty of a good cup of tea.
When they returned Kurt headed for the shower while Sandy flopped unceremoniously on one the kitchen chairs. She still looked disheveled and tired in spite of the exercise and grabbed the cup of coffee that Harry pushed in her direction gratefully. “Thank you Harry. Someday I am going to tell him how much I hate getting up this early.” She sighed and sucked up the caffeine.
Harry laughed. “No you aren’t. You love to watch his arse when he runs.”
“That may be true, but I would love it more if I was awake to enjoy it.” She pouted prettily making Harry let out something, that sounded suspiciously, like a giggle.
“So, how is the coffee?” Harry asked to cover the inelegant noise.
Sandy smirked at him knowingly. “Wonderful and timely as always.” Grabbing a plate she started to devour the eggs that Harry provided. “You get up early to exercise, but you never join us on our run. Is there a reason for that, beyond providing me with breakfast and coffee?”
“You ask that at least once a month. I told you already. I would get distracted by your beautiful body and fall into a hole.” Sandy just smiled at his comment and went back to her breakfast.
Sandy was the kind of woman that caused men to turn in their tracks and stare. She was a tall, thin blond with a models subtle curves and athletic body. It always amazed Harry how much she could eat given her trim frame. Her fashion sense was impeccable, but she still managed to be down to earth and fun to be with. Kurt was tall dark and muscular. He towered over Harry at well over six feet tall, and turned his fair share of heads.
Harry had met the them while they were on vacation in Long Beach, Washington. Harry’s house was as close to the ocean as you could get here. The beach was a highway so all of the houses and hotels had to be a certain distance from the shore. He had thought is was pure madness to allow the vehicles on the sand when he had first moved there, but after a few relaxing drives along the beach at sunset, he could see the appeal.
The couple had approached him at the annual Kite festival and asked if he knew a good place to stay . There were of course many wonderful hotels and condos along the peninsula , but he had, on whim, invited them to his home. That had been two years ago and he was grateful that they stayed. He had been off of Severus’ dampening potion for some time by then and he knew that they would be good for him.
It hadn’t taken long before they had become lovers. Harry had accidentally walked in on the couple while they were in a compromising position in his living room, rather than be embarrassed, like Harry would have been, Sandy had gestured him over to join them. Harry had felt nothing but eager expectance from them both as he made his way over to the couch that they were desecrating.
The only light in the room had been the fire in the grate and it cast enticing shadows over their naked flesh. Sandy was sitting on Kurt’s lap languidly moving up and down on his slick cock. Harry found himself fascinated by the sight as he sat next to Kurt and turned Sandy’s face toward him so he could capture her lips. The kiss was intense and seemed to last forever, he felt hands undoing the buttons on his shirt. He broke the kiss to see Kurt’s eyes inflamed with lust as he continued to remove his shirt.
Harry stood back and rid himself of his trousers and pants. He felt their admiration and blushed at the scrutiny. His discomfort was momentary, however, as Sandy grabbed his erection and guided it into her mouth. He could feel Kurt’s hands roaming his body coming to rest on his arse. He didn’t protest when one digit slipped between his cheeks to stroke lightly along his puckered opening. He had never been so overwhelmed with sensation thrusting his hips gently while petting Sandy’s hair in time with her dipping head. Kurt raised one hand to pull Harry forward over Sandy and ravaged his mouth still stroking him with the other hand. Harry could feel not only his own pleasure but both of his partners as well. He tried to warn Sandy of his imminent release, but she ignored him as he came with a deep moan. She swallowed it all and continued to run her mouth over him until he was spent.
Watching her share his taste with Kurt was the most erotic thing he had ever seen. Knowing what she needed, he moved his hand in between their writhing bodies and gently rubbed her while Kurt continued to thrust. She stiffened with pleasure bringing Kurt to completion right after. They had dragged him with them to the guest room to sleep with them that night.
The following morning Harry had expected an awkward greeting but had felt only relaxation and companionship. Kurt found a job with a local construction company and Sandy went to work at the hair solon in Long beach. They had sex fairly frequently but Harry rarely slept with them in the guest room. Sandy and Kurt were still a couple and Harry was a friend. It worked well because Harry knew when they needed to be alone and gave them space. He also knew when they wanted him, and happily made himself available.
He learned many things about himself in the next couple of years. He realized that he liked both men and women, and that he could take pleasure in others without guilt. It was disconcerting to know things about other people that they didn’t even know about themselves, but he couldn’t have had better companions during this time of discovery.
Now watching Kurt returning from the shower to grab his own coffee, he marveled at how well they all got along. Sandy replaced him in the bathroom and Kurt quickly ate the breakfast that was provided. When Sandy returned both of his housemates kissed him goodbye as they headed for work. He grabbed his laptop from the living room and returned to the deck. He was writing freelance for the local paper, and wanted to get his facts straight before he drove down the peninsula to Ilwaco to interview a teenager that survived a near miss with a drunk driver. He smiled at the simplicity of his life.
After his interview with the charming fifteen year old girl, who claimed that it hadn’t been that close a call and the gentleman in question may not have been drunk. Harry stopped at the tiny office of the paper that he worked for and gave his copy to his editor. Sylvia laughed at the humorous touches he had added to his non-story and invited him to lunch.
“You know, Harry, I should probably move you to editorials. You have a wicked sense of humor.”
“We both know that I don’t have an opinion worth editorializing. I just like talking to the locals.” Harry said around a bite of fish.
“Fair enough, but feel to submit an article if something comes to mind.”
After his meal Harry walked to main street and watched the tourists. He let time slip away from him and it was after six by the time he headed home. He felt the magical signature as soon as he reached his driveway. It had been four years since he had spoken to anyone from the magical community and he felt ill prepared to deal with Draco Malfoy.
He walked into the house with trepidation. Picking up apprehension and irritation from his former classmate he entered the kitchen. The pleasant smells of Kurt’s cooking greeted him along with a very excited blond housemate. “Look who’s here, Harry. Draco tells us that you two went to school together in Scotland. Why didn’t you tell us you were some kind of sports hero?” Sandy kissed his cheek before turning to gesture at Malfoy.
“Largely because I wasn’t. Don’t believe everything that you hear.”
“Modesty doesn’t suit you, Potter. He was the youngest team seeker in a hundred years and he never lost a fair Quidditch match.”
Kurt placed the plate of chicken on the table before joining the conversation. “What is Quidditch?”
Malfoy looked indignant and then looked sharply up at Harry with something akin to fear.
Harry let him stew for a second before answering. “It was our school sport. Kind of like a cross between football and cricket. Sorry I mean soccer and cricket. It is very British and very boring.”
Kurt shrugged and started serving the meal. “Still it sounds like you were quite the stud in high school. How come we haven’t been inundated with fan mail.”
“Potter, ran away from home. Didn’t he tell you?” Draco spit out with undisguised bitterness.
Kurt looked at Draco strangely and then focused his attention on Harry. “Well your loss is our gain I can assure you.”
Feeling that things were getting out of control Harry stood and thanked Kurt for dinner, squeezed Sandy’s shoulder and than pointed out to the deck. “Draco, why don’t we make ourselves comfortable on the deck and we can talk about why you are here.” When Draco nodded Harry grabbed a couple of beers from the fridge and led the way outside.
“Potter you need to come home.”
