“And so, the evil Wizard Voldemort was defeated. And everyone lived happily ever after.” Hermione said.
“And you and daddy, Uncle Draco and Uncle Harry were made heroes?” Arwen Snape asked.
“Ha, ha. Yes honey. Now, It’s time for you to sleep.” Hermione laughed.
Hermione tucked the little girl in, kissed her forehead, turned out the light and left the room. She made her way to her bedroom and began dressing for bed. As she sat at her vanity, she thought back over the past ten years.
Two weeks after she had graduated from Hogwarts, she and Severus had been married in a simple hand fasting ceremony at Godric’s Hollow. Severus had long since retired from teaching and he and Hermione now lived at Godric’s Hollow and owned a very successful Apocrathy in Diagon Alley and a second shop in Hogsmeade. They had two children. A boy of ten named Faramir and a girl of six named Arwen. Hermione had always loved the Lord of the Rings books, as did Severus.
When they married she was four months pregnant with Faramir. She and Severus had a wonderful life. Faramir was staying with Draco and Luna Lovegood. They had married six months after Severus and Hermione and a son a year younger than Faramir named Micah.
“Arwen asleep?” Severus asked as he stepped behind his wife.
“Yes. She loves the story of the final battle. As does her brother.” Hermione answered.
“Yes. Both are strong. Like their mother.” he said.
“And both have the intelligence and love of knowledge like their father.” she replied.
Severus gathered her into his arms and carried her to bed. Their love was as strong as ever. They had two beautiful children, a successful business, wonderful friends and their greatest wish, a life of peace.
