Teddy Bear

The next morning, Harry was awoken by screaming.
He jumped up and was out of bed, ready to face
whomever was attacking. It took him a moment to
realize that it was Severus. Harry shook his head,
trying to clear all of the sleepiness away when the
door burst open and Lucius and Mr. Weasley and
Bill were standing there.


\"What\'s going on?\" Mr. Weasley roared, effectively
shutting Severus up. Severus was now on his own
bed, staring at Harry with wide eyes.


\"What was I doing in your bed?\" Severus demanded.
Harry frowned, still half asleep. Since there was no
threat, he was going back to sleep.


\"I-\" He began but Lucius cut him off.


\"Harry won\'t be able to answer until he\'s had a cup of
coffee.\" He announced, knowing Harry rather well by
now. Harry yawned and fell back on his bed and pulled
the pillow over his head.


\"I need two more hours.\" Harry mumbled. \"Sev woke
me up in the middle of the night.\" This caused Severus
to frown.


\"I did not!\" He cried.


\"Yes, and you told me, that *yawn* you wouldn\'t re-\"
And Harry was back asleep.

When Harry woke up a couple hours later, the room was
empty and he remembered how he was rudely awakened
earlier. He sat up and groaned, putting his face into his
hands.


\"I almost ruined it.\" Harry muttered. He slowly got dressed
and walked out of the room. Bill was sitting in the kitchen
in only his boxers, drinking a cup of hot coffee. He grinned
at Harry, his red hair askew and his face looking tired.


\"You want to tell me what that was about this morning?\" He
asked Harry, offering him a cup of coffee. Harry shook his
head and drank half of his cup.


\"You wouldn\'t believe me even if I told you.\" He mumbled.
There was a loud crack right behind Harry, causing both him
and Bill to jumped and Harry\'s wings snapped open in
surprise.


\"Get away from me you crazy freak!\" Ginny screamed
angrily. She ran and hid behind Harry and Draco strode
into the room.


\"But Ginny-\" He began and Harry tentively sniffed the
air.


\"What\'s going on?\" He asked, confused about Ginny\'s
fear.


\"He wants me to help him to get with Hermione, but
she\'s Ron\'s girlfriend!\" Ginny informed Harry. Harry
gave Draco a curious look and Draco had the decency
to blush.


\"What\'s going on, Draco?\" Harry demanded. Draco
gave Harry a serious look.


\"Can we talk in private?\" Draco asked. Harry nodded
and left Ginny and Bill in the room. Harry followed
Draco into the living room, which was empty.


\"Hermione is my mate.\" Draco blurted and sat down
on the couch, looking crushed. \"And she\'s with the
stupid Weasel!\" He growled. Harry looked confused.


\"But Hermione and Ron-\" He began but paused,
considering something. \"Draco, where\'s Lucius?\"
Harry asked. Draco shrugged.


\"He disappeared with Charlie Weasley.\" He said.
Right then, Ron came storming into the room,
looking down right pissed.


\"What\'s this I hear about you trying to steal my
girl?\" Ron demanded. Draco\'s head snapped up
and his nostril\'s flared. Draco\'s eyes widened in
surprise and gave Harry a meaningful look.


\"Ron, if you\'ll wait for a second, I\'ll go get
Hermione and the three of you can talk in private.\"
Harry said and quickly left the room. He found
Ginny informing Hermione about what Draco had
been trying to do earlier, and he quickly cutted in.


\"Hermione, Draco and Ron are waiting for you in
the living room. I suggest you hurry before Ron
does something that he\'ll regret.\" Harry warned
her. Hermione took off and Harry took Ginny
off to the side, careful to not make too much
contact with her.


\"Why don\'t you keep quiet about what Draco was
trying to do?\" Harry asked quietly. \"You\'ll find out
later why he was doing what he was doing.\" Harry
said softly. Ginny frowned.


\"But Hermione is Ron\'s girl.\" She said flat out.
Harry sighed.


\"Yes, but there\'s also a chance that she\'s also
Draco\'s girl. If everything ends up how I think
it\'s going to end up, then you\'ll find out what
was going on later.\" Harry told her. She frowned.


\"But Harry-\" She began but she was cut off by
Severus walking over. Harry instantly tensed up.


\"I want to know why I was in your bed this
morning because I distinctly remembering going
to sleep in my bed.\" Severus said in a cold
manner.


\"Well maybe you were sleep walking!\"
Harry growled. Severus frowned.


\"Then what were you saying earlier?\" He
demanded.


\"I don\'t know. I was half asleep!\" Harry cried
angrily. He was doing his hardest to keep from
pouncing onto Severus. He probably wasn\'t aware
of the fact that he was pouring his
pheromones into the surrounding area.


\"You seemed pretty awake to me!\" Severus
retorted.


\"Yeah, well try talking to Draco sometime.
He once carried on an entire conversation
with me while I was asleep!\" Harry then
turned on his heel and marched away.

Later that night when Lucius returned,
he and Charlie made an announcement
to everyone. They were mates.


Then Ron, Draco and Hermione had to
make an announcement. All three of
them were mates.


Harry had felt the urge to stand up and
announce that he and Severus were
mates, but he didn\'t. He couldn\'t be with
Severus until after Christmas Eve.


Dinner was quite a celebration. Surprisingly,
everyone put aside their differences with
the Malfoys and accepted them rather
warmly into the family. No one ever
noticed when Severus slunk away, except
for Harry, who slunk away as well.


Harry followed Severus to the orchard
where he and the Weasleys used to play
quidditch during the summer holidays.
Severus climbed up one of the trees and
let out a sigh.


\"I wish someone could tell me why I did
what I did.\" Severus said softly. \"I don\'t
understand why. And how did I remember
Teddy?\" Severus whispered and then he
punched the tree trunk. \"And why the hell
did I wake up in Harry\'s bed!\" He demanded
to the air around him. Harry remained
hidden in the shadows.


Neither of them realized that they had
switched roles. This is what Severus used
to do back when Harry was in school. He
would hide in the shadows and watch Harry,
and listen to him talk to the air around
him. Now, Harry was hiding in the shadows,
watching Severus talk to the air around
him.


When Severus left, Harry waited for a
while before following. He went straight
to bed, not wanting to talk to anyone
at all. That night, Severus did not come
and lay with him, leaving Harry to lie
awake all night, thinking about what
Severus had said.
