Past and Futures Come Together

(Three months after the dreams of both Alyrisa and Remus)

The full moon was fast approaching again. Remus paced a room in the Shrieking Shack. He doubled over as the grip of the transformation grabbed a hold of him. He gave a soundless scream as the large honey colored wolf erupted from his body. The wolf lay on the floor panting for a few minutes. He took a moment as he always did to look around.

If a wolf could smile Moony did. He would do a little bit of hunting of mice and what nots before sneaking into Hogwarts. He enjoyed sneaking in and just watching Alyrisa Snape sleep. So far the young woman never caught on, and Moony hoped that would be the case.

Moony after having his fill of mice and other tasty tid-bits, he rinsed his muzzle in the lake. He then gave a howl to the moon before sneaking into the school. He stayed in the secret passages that he and his friends had found. The wolf snickered to himself as he came up to the passage that led to a Prefect of Slytherin house dorm. He was surprised the young lady had never found it, but then again he noticed she spent a lot of time studying. He nudged his way into the room, and just laid next to the bed.

Alyrisa had kicked the covers off of herself. Moony saw this and stood up. He gripped the blankets gently in his teeth and started to pull them back over the young woman. She gave a small whimper in her sleep, and the wolf stopped what he was doing. He looked at the young woman for a moment before continuing. He dropped the blankets over her and began to settle back down on the floor.

Alyrisa had felt the blankets drop over her shoulders. She awoke and looked around her dorm room. She didn’t see any of the ghosts or Peeves lurking around. She was fine with the ghosts, but Peeves she couldn’t stand. She then heard a soft sound of rhythmic breathing. She looked over the edge of her bed, and screamed. She bolted to the other side of her dorm room.

Moony heard the scream, and jumped up instantly. The fur on the back of his neck was raised and he looked around looking for an intruder. He relaxed when he didn’t see anything. He cocked his head to one side as he studied the young woman who was shivering in the corner. He then realized that she had seen him and panicked.
The wolf laid down and made no move to get near her. Alyrisa stood there for a moment before trying to make her way to the door. Moony whined slightly and looked at her.
“You aren’t going to try to rip my throat out are you?” she asked. Moony looked at her and shook his head.

Moony stood up and walked up to her cautiously. He didn’t want to scare her too much. He gently grabbed her wrist in his mouth careful not to break the skin, and he led her back to her bed.
~You rest. You need it.~” Moony seemed to say.
“You’re Professor Lupin aren’t you?” she asked. The wolf looked at her and yawned. She climbed back into her bed. “So what do I call you?”
Moony looked out the window and right at the moon. “Moon?”
Moony whined and shook his head. “Moony?”
The wolf gave a small happy yip and wagged his tail. “Okay Moony it is. You can’t be comfortable down there.”
Moony cocked his head to the side for a minute and then shook his head. He grabbed the blankets and pulled them over the young woman. He laid back down on the floor.

The next morning Alyrisa awoke, and looked over the edge of her bed, and Moony was gone. She frowned and then got ready for her day.
