Let the Revelations Begin

Thanks to all of those who have reviewed. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! I also want to explain something about the lantern. The fact that it only judges whether people can have male offspring not female offspring. It means that they holder could have any number of female offspring they don’t know. My reason for making it that way is historical. In 1352, LeBeau’s era, woman were basically only in existence to produce heirs, be showed off at parties, sew and clean house. In other words woman were pretty much worthless, possessions if you will. So he didn’t make the lantern judge female offspring because back then men were egotistical, conceited, prideful and selfish. Geez some things never change. Only kidding. I hope you understood that. It’s kind of hard to explain when writing things down. Anywayz here’s Chapter 8.

Disclaimer: I don’t own Harry Potter.

Chapter 8 - Let the Revelations Begin.

“But Blaise I saw them. Potter and Tempest, they snuck into the old dueling classroom. It’s just not right I tell you. Who would want Scarhead like that?” Draco asked his best friend.

He stopped his pacing to throw his now shoulder blade length hair, which was pulled back into a tie, over his shoulder and shooting his black haired friend a look, his silver eyes turning a stormy grey in anger.

“You would,” Blaise said continuing to read his book.
“That’s the most idiotic, preposterous and foolish notion I’ve ever heard,” Draco protested.

Blaise lowered the book, revealing crystal blue eyes, and fixed an exasperated stare on Draco.

“You do too like him like that. So why don’t you make life easier, get over your denial, throw Potter up against a wall and shove your tongue down his throat since I know that‘s what you‘ve been wanting to do for some time now,” Blaise growled throwing the book on the side table and standing up from the black leather chair in Draco’s private rooms.
“You make me sound like an animal,” Draco grumbled then sighed, “So what if I do like him like that. It’s never going to happen. He would never like me like that.”
“The lantern said your true love is Potter. LeBeau is French and both you and I know that when Frenchmen do something they do it perfectly. I mean we are perfect examples of Frenchmen,” Blaise said grinning.
“You’re right about the French part but about Potter you’re way off,” Draco said.
“For Merlin’s sake Draco,” Blaise cried throwing his hands in the air, “Repeat after me. I Draco Lucius Malfoy am in love with Harry James Potter.”

Draco looked at Blaise like he was insane.

“Say it,” Blaise ordered.
“I’ll say it if you admit that you have the biggest crush ever on Tempest,” Draco bargained.
“I have the biggest crush ever on Tempest but she is a teacher, I’m a student, there are laws against teachers and students having intimate relationships,” Blaise said
“I don’t think that’d stop you,” Draco said grinning, “And your right Blaise I do like Harry but like I said he’d never like me like that.”
“I think he would,” Blaise said walking to the exit, “Come on dinner will be soon.”

“I’m not a pureblood,” Harry growled as he stalked towards the great hall.
“Are too,” Tempest retorted as she walked backwards in front of him.
“Are not,” Harry said stopping and stomping his foot childishly.
“The Familia Roble spell does not lie,” Tempest said, “Contrary to popular belief your mum’s a pureblood and your aunt’s a squib. It actually explains everything especially where all your raw power comes from. I mean you’re the descendant of Godric Gryffindor and Merlin himself for crying out loud and with your connection to Voldermort who’s a descendant of Salazar Slytherin. You’ve got the power of three awesome and legendary wizards running through your veins.”
“But that means everyone lied to me about my mum,” Harry said shaking his head, his eyes welling up with tears.
“Not necessarily. All pureblood families use that spell. You mum’s parents would have known who they’re ancestors were and at that time they might have thought it best to keep it from your mum and aunt. Lots of families kept ancestors, even children and grandchildren secret. It’s just the way things were at the time,” Tempest said pulling Harry to her and hugging him.
“Can you make that Familia Roble spell permanent on some cloth or something?” Harry asked pulling back.
“You mean like the one at Grimmauld Place of the Black family tree?” Tempest asked.
“How’d you know about that?” Harry asked gasping.
“That doesn’t matter. So is that what you meant?” Tempest asked.
“Yeah,” Harry said nodding.
“Yes it can be done. But you’d have to put it somewhere out of sight so no-one finds out about your mum and you can’t put it in the house of another pureblood family. It bursts into flames if you do,” Tempest said starting to walk towards the great hall again.

Harry started to chuckle as he caught up to Tempest outside the great hall.

“If only Malfoy knew,” Harry chuckled looking at Tempest.
“If only I knew what?” Draco asked as he and Blaise came up behind them.

Harry jumped, letting out a squeak and swung around. Tempest had heard them coming so she only turned sideways to lean against the stone pillar outside the door.

“Umm…well,” Harry stuttered trying to come up with something.
“Well Potter spit it out,” Draco said eyeing Harry curiously.
“Don’t worry about it,” Harry grumbled, “It’s not that important.”
“Well if you say so,” Draco said.

As he walked past Harry, Draco couldn’t help but extend his pinkie and brush it against Harry’s hand.
Blaise winked at Tempest who grinned and nodded back at him.
When the two Slytheins had left Harry sighed and shivered, a large smile spreading across his face.

“Well, well, well,” Tempest said, “Looks like you may have a chance after all.”
“It could’ve been an accident,” Harry whispered looking down at the hand Draco had touched.
“I don’t think so,” Tempest said pushing away from the pillar, “But there is a way you can find out. Next time you’re near him give him a little brush with your hand. If he doesn’t punch your lights out…”
“Do you really think he could?” Harry asked as he entered the great hall Tempest one step behind him.
“The lantern said he was your true love and well from what I gather it’s mutual,” Tempest said.
“Hey Harry over here,” Seamus yelled standing up and waving to Harry.
“Don’t forget you have Occlumency lessons at eight,” Tempest said before walking to the teachers table.
“How could I forget,” Harry grumbled and walked over to take a seat between Fred and George across from Seamus who was flanked by Dean and Ron. Hermione had yet to arrive.
“Where have you been? I haven‘t seen you since last class” Ron asked his friend.
“I was talking with Tempest,” Harry said as he looked up to the teachers table to see Remus and Tempest in discussion while every now and again Severus would add his thoughts.
“You should be organizing quidditch tryouts,” Ron demanded, “Not disappearing and talking to some girl.”
“Tempest is a teacher,” Hermione said appearing out of nowhere and taking a seat beside Ron, “Not some girl and I’m sure Harry has already thought of something.”
“I have,” Harry said, “Practices are on Thursdays starting from next week. I thought we’d get an early start cause of the new players we’re getting.”

Fred, George and Ron nodded their heads in acknowledgement.

“Okay before we start eating there is an announcement. Gryffindor quidditch team tryouts are this Thursday,” Dumbledore said, “You’re to report to the pitch immediately after dinner.”

With a wave of Dumbledore’s hands the food appeared.

“Harry why were you summoned to Dumbledore’s office?” Hermione asked as she placed some food on her plate.
“No reason really,” Harry said tucking into the food that was on his plate putting an end to that discussion.

------------

“That was good Potter. You’ve been practicing,” Severus said as he sat down in his chair.

He and Harry had been at it for two hours now and Harry could now push him out after five minutes.

“I have. Every night over the holidays,” Harry said grinning.
“Well you’re not perfect yet,” Severus stated.
“I know but with you helping me again I’ll be a pro in no time,” Harry said smiling at Severus, “After all you are the best.”
“Flattery will get you nowhere Potter,” Severus said but couldn’t help the slight blush that came to his face and his chest swelling, “But it does help your cause.”
“Yeah well it’s the truth,” Harry said then yawned.
“Well I think that is enough for tonight,” Severus said, “You’re dismissed Potter.”
“Thank you Professor. Goodnight,” Harry said as he opened the door.
“Night Potter,” Severus said.
