Screams at Midnight

Oct 30 was supposed to be a quite time before Halloween but it was not that quite in the dormitories many were staying up doing homework. Down in the dungeon Angel had made the last of the twister's broomsticks and was going to present them to the teams on Halloween. It was around midnight when she got done and thinking of the last Game it was Ravenclaw against Griffindore and she didn't know who to root for. Harry or Trinity but both were good and in the end Harry got the snitch with out great loss though. He had lost his Firebolt due to the fact that some one had tampered with it and it snapped in two when Harry got the snitch and he was in the hospital with a concoction and a few bumps and scrapes.


Then out of the blue there came a screech of an owl as it waited for her to get done. There was a letter tied to it and she reached over to get the letter. She got it and gave her owl a petting and ruffling it feathers the way it likes and it hooted in pleasure and then took off to the owlery. It was from her friend from the states and she opened it up and read it.

How have you been doing? It has been a long time since we talked and I wrote this cause you told me before you left to keep in contacted if anything seems wrong or just out of place. I see that the headmaster of Hogwarts wrote to all the schools and even the collage that he was delighted to hear that there were schools like his here in the states he made such a great expression that all the schools seem to want to visit Hogwarts before the Christmas Holiday's are here and I am sure that he got all the letters back with a answer and I am coming over there with a delegation headmaster's and some students from 4 year and up.

Well any way what I wanted to tell you is that the Salem witch's ass. Saw a something weird going on in their part of the woods that they keep, well from people who don't understand what is buried over in that part of the woods. It would seem that your Voldemort was seen in their digging up something that he wanted and evidently he got it but not with out a fight some of the older witch's were defending it and they are know missing. We have people on it but keep a look out their if you see any of them dead or alive let me know one way or another.

What he wanted and got was the book of shadows that actually said Gods other name and I have no idea what he wants with it. Keep on your toes and let Dumbledore know about this he might know what I am talking about cause the book is one of a kind and it is known about in every country even yours cause that is where it started from and traveled around the world.

Well I guess Ill let you go and I'll be seeing you when we get there it will be our Thanksgiving and staying until early spring.

Angel got up and went into the hall and walked up to the headmaster's staircase and said the pass word " Tickling treats" The stone Gargoyle lifted and opened up and she got in and up she went to Dumbledore's office. She opened the door to see Dumbledore up and sitting as his desk reading some of the letters that was send to him in the morning.

" I have a letter that might serve for your interest better." Angel said to him.

" Who is it from?" He said looking very tired.

" It is from a friend of mine in the states and she is the headmaster of the Salem school of witchcraft. She wanted to warn us about Voldemort and what he took from the Salem Witches Ass." She said back to him and handed the letter to him so he could read it.

" I know what he took it is the Grand Grimwar. This is bad." She said to herself but the feeling was mutual.

" If that is the case the whole world is in trouble." He said. He took in some air and then said again. " I think I need to get the Ministry into this and they can help look for him and the book of shadows. I think it is best that we continue what has been planed and we will work from there. We will have at lest 10 of the schools attending here with in a few weeks. There will be at lest 8 teachers, one set of American Quidditch players, then8 regular students too. Did you get the twister's done?'

" Yeah I did, they are ready for tomorrow. I guess you will being making a announcement tomorrow then?" She asked.

" Yes I will be. I think we had better head off to bed." He said as he got up and she went to the door and went down the stairs and went to her place to sleep.

The next day she woke up to a sunny day and hearing some the kids shuffling to go and eat breakfast. Some were getting ready to go to Hogsmeade. She was one of them. Angel got up and then got dressed and went into the great hall and sat down to eat her breakfast and then went down the dungeons that were her lab. To see Severus waiting for her there and then said.

She whispered. " Can you help me with the brooms that are to be ready for tonight?"

" Yes how are you going to hide them? How are you going to get the owls to send them?" He asked.

" By this. She held up a cloak that was invisible to every one else. That is easy I all ready have that done and figured out. If you have not noticed that there is a lot more owls around that is how I am going to do it. " Then we would have to wait for the coast is clear.

Later on that day she was walking down the halls listening to music on her Cd and then made sure no one was around she started to dance on the smoothed out rock with the music. Every one heard taping in the halls ways and Harry and Ron and Hermione went to investigate whom it was. When they got to the hall they watched her their not making a sound and just could not believe their eyes.

" She is doing the Irish dance but only with tap shoes, I wonder where she learned how to do that?" Ron said.

" I don't know but she is good." Hermione said back. " To bad she wont teach that kind of stuff as extra curricular studies."

Then they heard a rustling sound of cloak right behind them. They turned to see Dumbledore and McGonnagall watching as well.

" Would you believe that is how she keeps in shape?" Dumbledore said to the three in front of him. " I never learned how to do the Irish dances in my young days. Uh maybe you guys should not see this one." He said again.

" Where is her cloak’s she should not be in that kind of outfit in here?” McGonnagall said in a hushed voice.

Angel knew she had an audience and she didn't let them know that she knew.

" You know you guys do not have to hide around the corner." Angel said

" How did you know that we were behind there?" Harry asked.

Just as that was said she picked up her pace as the song did.

" Don't worry about it, where I learned how to do this, I was in the production of lord of the Dance so I learned from Michael Flatly. Good man, wonderful wizard too." Angel said.

" That was bloody wonderful." Ron said to her.

" Why, can you teach me that?" Hermione asked.

" Sure but it would have to be as detention on some days." Angel said. " Are you guys lat to go to Hogsmeade?"

" Yeah we are, talk to you later then." Harry said but had a hard time of moving from his spot. As well as the rest of them

" Oh another thing you three do not tell Snape got it." Angel said as she dances fast.

" Tell me what?" Snape said as he came up the hall obvious that he heard the tapping along the hallways.

Angel didn't hear him come up and was dancing there. He stood rooted where he was and that is when Harry, Ron and Hermione took off to Hogsmeade. They turned the corner and stopped they were going to spy on Angel.

" I thought we were going to Hogsmeade?" Ron said to them.

" No I want to see what he dose." Hermione said to Ron.

" It that invading privet conversations?" Harry asked but didn't move.

" Yeah it is, but this is funnier to see and what else we could dig on Snape." Ron said.

Snape watched with interested of her and didn't notice that Dumbledore and McGonnagall had left him and her alone. She still didn't know that he was there off in her own world. He could hear the music that was filtering from the headphones and watched even more with mute interest. With her extremely short shirt and tights and her tap shoes and the shirt was very interesting to watch.

The tapping was getting faster and he could not beliehat hat her lags can move that fast. The music died down to slow and she was swaying with it and with soft landing that she could do she was off twirling around. Snape was almost beside him self as he noticed that she was in a happy place and he was going to show her something if he could help it. He looked around to see no one was around and he moved closer. The muwas was going in and he was next to her held out his arms and let her dance around him and he did the same and she came to him and the very end she lended into him with her back towards him and twirled her around bend her over and kissed her. Just like in the dance it self. Angel smiled to him and moved of farther and he stood there and turned around as if her heard laughing and gaffing some where in one of the halls.

It was too much for the three to hold it in any more the kiss was enough and they high tailed it out of their laughing all the way to Hogsmeade.

" I can not believe it that was to good to see." Ron said as they entered the three broomsticks breathing hard.

" I thought it was kind of sweet and romantic." Hermione said.

" You would, any way I thought it was corny. I almost threw up when I saw that, Yuck who would want to kiss Snape of all people anyway?" Harry said to them.

" Well evidently Angelica must cause she did." Ron said.

" Well I am tainted, I will never look at Snape again with out trying to laugh. Or even Angel to be as a matter of fact." Harry said and got up to get some drinks.

" Well at lest I won't have to live with them this summer." Ron said and was trying to think of a way to get Harry out of their for the summer.

Harry came back with their drinks and sat down with a dazed look on his face and it would seem that Harry was thinking along the lines of Ron himself.

They left to get back to go to the Halloween fest in the Great hall. They went to their table and sat down and watched as the rest of the students shuffled in and took their seats. When everybody was assemble the Professors filed in and took their seats and Harry saw Hagrid come in and took his seat as well. Dumbledore came in went to his seat but not before he made this announce ment.

" Happy Halloween all and I have something to tell you but that will wait until the feast is over but I turn the floor over the Professor Angelica for something that she has been working on for the school." He said and sat down and Angel got up and went over to the corner and pulled off the cloak to revel the broomstick that she had made for herself and was getting ready to talk about it.


" Hello all and what a wonderful night. Ok lets get this started as Dumbledore had said I have been working on their broomsticks for the Quidditch teams all of them even though there are some who don't need them, Like the house of Slytherin and a few of the others. The owls should arrive here soon Angel said.

" What happens if the player had a broom and lost it in a match like Harry's for instance?" Ginny asked.

" Well they most likely keep them of course. The ones that will are not used as well the ones that are in the teams that have their own, and wish not to use them they can use these. They will be locked up in my office more than likely. Slytherin the captain you can come but will not get their cause they have the Nimbus 2001 broomsticks and the once I made are all ready locked up in Snape's office if they are needed. Do not come to me if you need one got to Snape and have him unlock one and that you can get it. He is the head of the house of Slytherin." She said. Just aat wat was said there were a lot of Owls flying through the air carrying a lot of broomsticks to the people who play Quidditch.

All of the other students were gathering around the ones who got them as they opened them and all the students gasped at what it had said on them.

TWISTER 00002 and so on their names were spelled on with gold on them.

" Ok I want to see all of you at the feild tomorrow early. You all will have to get use to them as fast as you can. So that means all of you that include Slytherin team as well. I will see you all in the morning at 9 am. Thank you all of being quite with this and know I turn the floor to Dumbledore." She said as she went to her seat next to Snape.

" I want to thank you Angel for working on those so fast. Know lets eat." He said and the table's came to life with food and drink. Most of the students didn't want to eat but inspect the brooms. It was loud and at the high table there was much take around the table. Angel looked over at Harry and saw him look at the broom that one only held the number of his but had his name on it. He looked up and smiled to her. She raised her glass of pumpkin juice to him and took a drink.

Dinner was done with in and hour and everyone was full the plates became clean and spotless. DumbDumbledore stood up and cleared his throat and the place went quite.

" Well it was a great evening and I have my announcement and that is we will have visitors at and towards the middle of November which is in about 2 weeks from know. We are having 3 different schools from America coming over and visit us. As many of know we will be having a dance at Christmas and the 4th year and on up have the right to stay and join. I don't want anything like what happened two years ago. I want all of you to greet them with utmost respect from all of you. Ok it is getting late and those of you that have to be up in the morning. Ill be out their watching you all myself so Good-night and a happy Halloween." He said as the hall began to empty out. The professors also got up and went to their chambers to get ready for the night of rest in their beds.

Harry and Ron and Hermione went into the common room and sat down in front of the fire and sat there talking about the coming delegation from America.

" Wow that was a shock and another ball to go to I think you two had better find a partner early this time." Hermione said to Ron and Harry.

" I thought we were done with that." Ron said miserably.

" Well Ron if you want to ask me first then you would not have to find any one." Hermione said to him.

" Not here in front of everybody." he hissed.

" But why not I would not turn you done." She said again.

Ron looked over to Harry who shrugged and looked into the fire watching the flames do its crazy dance over the logs.

" Fine then Hermione will you go to the Yule ball with me?" Ron squeaked out.

" Well since you put it that way yes I will go with you to the Ball." She said back to him and lends over and kissed him on the cheeks. Hermione went up to bed and Ron who was happy was in shock of the answer looked over to Harry.

" Are you going to asked Cho to the ball?" He asked Harry.

" I can, but if you remember she is going with some one." Harry said to him.

" Well what are you going to do?" Ron asked.

" I don't know but we have to get up to bed cause of tomorrow morning." Harry said as he and Rom made it to their beds and got ready. They climbed in and pulled the curtains and feel asleep.

Some where on the grounds slinked a shadow of an old woman and hissing slightly holding a book and trying to make it way to Hogwarts. The thing that was behind it came up on it and brandished a knife and swiped it at the old lady and cut her with it let out a scream that was heard only to the Professors. There was a knocking on Angels chamber and she got up and pined the door and saw that Dumbledore was there.

" You have to come with me Angel. The lady has been asking for you." He said to her as she put on her cloak to cover up and fallowed him to the hospital wing.

" Bertha Longstich? She is with the Salem witches ass. Is she dead or hurt?" Angel asked.

" She is hurt and dyeing at the same time." Dumbledore said to Angel.

Angel went up to the bed and put her hands over the older witch and her eye fluttered open and then looked over to see her friend.

" I have found you but you are in danger, Harry too, I had the book in my hands until I was attached from behind and it was taken from me. It was his servant that did it, He is waiting for the right moment to strike and you will be dead just like your father. He said to me. I had to get to you with the book." She said with difficulty.

" Shhhh. It's all right just rest and Ill talk to you tomorrow." Angel said as she watched the old lady slowly drift away from the world.

She knew that Bertha was dead before any one else and Angel got up and put the white sheet over the old witch and started back to send note to her friend.
